Naruto Shippuden: The Neo Akatsuki (Spoilers! Some dead characters are revealed!)

"hm..." Eva suddenly grinned. "You aren't afraid of water, are you?"

 

"Not exactly, unless its going to kill me.Why do you ask?" he asked.

 

Eva shoved him into the water, then giggled, sitting at the edge.

 

Now, normally Takashi would've stopped her as a Shinobi should never let their guard down, but seeing as this girl seemed all right, he merely let it happen.But despite letting her, he was still surprised.Still under, he grabbed her arms and threw her in with him.

 

Eva laughed, crashing into the water head first. She swam to the surface, giggling.

 

Takashi climbed out beside her, shaking his head and getting a large amount of water out of his hair.

 

Eva grinned, slowly getting out and wringing her hair. "Well that's refreshing. Sorry." she apologized.

 

"..It's fine..just a surprise." Takashi sighed, now needing to dry off his clothes.

 

Eva smiled, lying back in the sun. "You sound annoyed." Her hair spread out above her head like a halo.

 

"..I just didn't expect to go for a swim, that's all.Then again, A shinobi should be prepared for anything..my mother and father told me that everyday when I was young." He headed back over to the logs and bent down in his Trigram stance, hitting it repeatedly in imagined chakra points.

 

Eva kept her eyes closed, then sat up, crossing her legs and placing her hands on her knees. She imagined herself in the middle of the ocean, the waves pounding her. Breathing slowly, she quieted herself.

 

Now to get back to training.Takashi bent down lower with his left arm toward the ground and his right arm pointed up in the air behind him.To him, there was a Yin and Yang symbol below him, and within it was that very log he took aim at."Gentle Fist Art..Eight Trigrams, Sixty Four Palms!" bringing his middle fingers and forefingers together while lowering the others, Takashi slid his left foot closer to the log and began attacking it."Two Palms!Four Palms!Eight Palms!..Sixteen Palms!...Thirty Two Palms!...Sixty Four Palms!" he finished, dealing the final blow to the center of the log, causing it to split in half right down the middle, and the other areas he hit caused it to fall to pieces, smoking.

And he didn't even break a sweat.

"I've got it down...I'll be the best there ever was." Takashi looked toward the sky in thought. "Mother..Father..I'll make you proud."

"..Dad..may I ask a favor of you?" his daughter asked, sitting beside him at the breakfast table and looking hard at it, a little wary of asking him this."..I'd..like to take your blade and train with it..and use it as my own.And before you refuse just try to understand that I want to-"

"You may." Sasuke cut in, taking a long drink from his glass of water and setting it down on the table.He knew how it felt to be the runt of the little..the underdog.Someone who had to prove himself.She wanted only to beat her brother and Kinen, and after what he witnessed yesterday, she must want it now more than ever.His time would soon be over..it would be in the hands of these kids."I'll teach you, Kaori..how to wield the sword of Kusanagi." he looked toward her and stood up from the table, heading upstairs to retrieve it from its case.

In awe, Kaori hurriedly got up after him, not expecting it to be so easy."Thank you, father." she commented as they climbed upstairs to he and her mother's room, where it was kept.After retrieval, they headed outside of Konoha to train.

 

Eva relaxed, then slowly, placed her hands in the water, her eyes still closed. Slowly she slid in, until her whole body was submerged.

OOC: Missed you! :glomp: Takashi is training, after meeting and talking with Eva. Eva is meditating in the water, on the training grounds.
