Not Another Harry Potter Thread!

Holy Mother of God it was good.
But now I feel like my childhood is almost completely over.
I'm not sure if I like that feeling.

 

I felt 100 times more than you when I read the book.

Eh, I was only 16-17 then, and in the middle of high-school, and could tell myself that at least there a few more movies coming out.
Now I'm only a few months from 20, working, and realizing that Harry Potter is truly over.

 

I cried at the end of the book and I know I'm gonna cry when I see it later today. D:

I remember when I saw the first Harry Potter movie at a theater. Back then it was all "yay lets go on magical adventures and solve mysteries". But now we're getting older, and it's all about "yay lets go on a magical adventure with death and a lot of dark content".

It's funny looking back. But man, I can't believe it's over. But heeeey there's Pottermore. Hopefully there's stuff on there to keep me occupied with being a MOTHER****ING WIZARD.

 

I know what you mean. it's wierd, like the end of an era. I think I was 7 when the first one came out, Harry Potter was the first book I ever actually got excited about when I was learning to read. That's 10 years of my life it's took up, I've grown up with it and I'm sad it's finally finished.

 

I cried like a baby in the theater on Friday when I saw it. I've also been crying off and on ever since then for some reason. I guess it's because it's the end of an era and the end of my childhood...

 

A lot of people call me crazy when I say this, but I thought it was fairly decent. Nothing special. It was a great series with some great movies, and it's nice to see things finally come to a conclusion, but as far as the movie's quality goes, it was alright.

 

I wish it wasn't over. Harry potter used to be my everything, and now its done!! T.T

 

I really don't like it when people say that it's an end of an era, mostly because it's never going to end. Harry Potter is still going to be read fifteen, twenty, fifty, and a hundred years from now. The movies and books are timeless and hold truths that are acceptable for every generation to come. We're still going to have Pottermore (whatever that turns out to be) and the stories will live on forever. It's not the end, but just the beginning.

Just because the books and movies are over, doesn't mean it's over over. It will continue to live in our hearts. If you want it to end, forget about Harry Potter. If you want it to live, treasure it in your heart.


Hell, Im trying to make a story based off Harry Potter. Main character is a Slytherin.
