Help Not Receiving Notification E-Mails

For some reason, I've stopped receiving e-mail notifications.

The last one was today at 12:34 PM PDT regarding a response made in The Postbox thread, but I haven't gotten anymore since, and some threads that I'm subscribed to, including a recent one I created, have had replies made, but I did not get any notification e-mails.

Is anyone else receiving any?

 

They could possibly be getting redirected to your Junk folder. If that's the case, you should add KHV to you Safe senders list (Or whatever it's called).

 

There's nothing in my Spam folder, and I already have a filter set for KHV.
Also, that's odd. I got an e-mail for this.

Replies were made to Misty's song thread, and I did not receive e-mails.

 

Try to check you settings > My settings > My account.

There are the settings about E-mails Notifications, I believe.

They're all set right, but I'm not receiving any notifications.
I checked to see if Yahoo! Mail was having problems, but I am still getting notification e-mails from another forum, so that's not it.

 

Perhaps checking all your other email folders in case it has accidentally been rerouted to another one other than your main inbox or spam. I sometimes used to not receive email notifications from KHV too, I dunno what caused it.

I got notifications of your reply and a reply to Misty's song thread, so I don't know what's up.

It'll probably go into another cycle of no notifications, though.

 

I wouldn't worry much about it yet. Sometimes computers just don't want to play nice on a certain day. If you are still experiencing it in a day or two then there is an issue with some setting somewhere.

 

I know things like that are possible, but is it really possible for it to be on one forum, but not on another one?

 

All the forums are separate. If one has a technical error it doesn't mean the other one using the same system (assuming the other one you speak of also uses VB) will have the same problem.

 

Yes, that one also uses vBulletin.

Also, Mixt was referring to the computer possibly being the problem, not the KHV forum itself.

 

I doubt it's your computer. It'll boil down to two things, your browser or KHV.

I rather doubt it is your computer. The only role your computer could play is if you use an email client like Outlook.

I'm just saying it isn't uncommon for stuff like this to be temporary and if you work too hard to fix a problem that doesn't need it you can make stuff worse.

 

If it is Yahoo!, woudln't I not be getting e-mails at all (even from non-forum stuff)?

 

It's possible that you're just subscribed to too many active threads for it to keep updating regularly.
Or the updates are getting added into the initial email you get for a reply (happens to me in Gmail).

Anyway, there are more active threads that I'm subscribed to currently at another forum, and if Yahoo! can handle that, then it should be able to handle this.

Obviously, these are two separate forums and cannot be compared.
However, there are areas where there really can't be any difference, or can there?

EDIT: I just checked one of the e-mails from KHV, and it only had one reply in it and not multiple replies like you said.

It appears that I am getting notification e-mails again, so I guess this can be locked for now.

Anyway, it seems that the problem is back, as I am not getting e-mails from KHV again.

 

Try switching to a new email address for now, and tell us if you're still not getting them.

 

Well, right now, I am getting notification e-mails, but I'll try that next time it happens.

Looking back to yesterday, it seems that it was around the same time period today that it happened.
Approximately 2:00 PM PDT to 8:25 PM PDT.

Today, I started getting them again sooner, which was around 5:00 PM PDT.
