Reaper nodded and pulled her up and down the hallway to a window, which he broke open with his hand wrapped in his cloak. He stepped up onto the ledge and smiled down at her, "I suppose that idiot Havoc will be the one to come get us. He's not going to be happy I killed his master." He offered her his hand.

 

Mya smiled and held his hand. It just depends on how bad he wants to kill me.

Havoc paced around his room, wondering where Garth was.

 

Reaper held her hand as he ran along the rooftops. He hoped he could at least have a decent amout of time with Mya before Havoc flipped his lid.

A guard came running down the hall after finding Garth's body, "Sir Havoc! Commander!" He burst into Havoc's room, panting with wild-eyes.

 

Mya followed Zane across the rooftops, hoping they were far enough.

Havoc frowned. Whats wrong?

 

The guard caught his breath and prayed he would not kill the messenger, "Sir, the two assassins have escaped and killed the Lord McHugh. Garth McHugh has been slain! What should we do?"

 

Havoc gritted his teeth and grabbed the messanger by the collar. Rally up all of the guards. Search the whole city. DON'T COME BACK EMPTY HANDED OR ILL KILL YOU MYSELF! He let him go, seething in anger.

Mya started to hold her side. Slow down Zane! I can't keep up.

 

The guard hurried and nearly every guard left available started to search the city.

Reaper noticed the extra commotion. He turned and picked Mya up in his arms before continuing along the rooftops. "We can't stop or slow down. Not yet." His breathing became labored and his eyes glazed over but he kept running with Mya in his arms.

 

Mya started to protest when he picked her up, but stayed silent and closed her eyes.

 

Reaper dropped as carefully as he could from roof to roof until he hit the ground. His stitches ripped and he gritted his teeth, squeezing Mya slightly. His head was bowed as blood started to flow freely from his wound but he could hear the clatter of the guard's footsteps as they searched the city.

 

Mya opened her eyes and looked up at him. Please don't push yourself. I'll walk. I don't want you to burden me.

 

Reaper opened his eyes, he hadn't noticed he'd closed them. "No, it's fine. We have to keep moving quickly. The guards are on to us. Havoc moves faster than I expected." He set her on her feet anyway, "I just need to catch my breath." He hadn't wanted to move her, now the blood seeping though his shirt was visible.

 

Mya noticed the wound and sighed. You're pushing yourself too hard. Here let me help you. Mya ripped part of her shirt off and pressed it against the wound.

 

Reaper winced, "The angel of mercy." He gave her a sultry smile, "A little early to be undressing for me, don't you think?"

The guards hustled down every street until coming close on the street where Mya and Reaper were.

 

Mya smiled back. Huh. I thought this was saved for bed. She cocked her head at the sound of guards and grabbed Zane. Quick in here! She jumped in a haybale next to them.

 

Reaper tugged her close to him, despite the hay covering them. He whispered in her ear, "I didn't know you wanted to sleep with me, Mya. I though I'd just have to imagine."

The guards sighed as yet another search for the assassin's failed, "I'm not telling him." The others backed away slowly leaving the one guard to groan, "I have to tell him? Crap." They headed back, dreading their punishment.

 

Mya smirked. No smart remarks till we're safe. Then you can start talking. She continued to listen for any other guards that are passing by.

 

Reaper shut his mouth but when he heard no more guards he persisted in his question, "Mya, do you want to sleep with me? I had no idea." His eyes sparked with his imagination.

 

Mya playfully slapped him on the arm. You wouldn't dare sleep with a 19 year old.

 

He gave her a 'I'm not kidding' look, "Wouldn't I?" He wouldn't, his father had raised him better but a hobby of being a womanizer had gave him a habit of insisting he could.

 

Mya smiled and planted a quick kiss on the lips. You're gonna get into a lot of trouble with that kind of a mouth. She peeked out of the haystack and poked Zane. It's safe now.
