Zane's eyes flashed, "You're doing it again. You're apologizing and avoiding me. You used to do that back when you were still small too." He rolled off her and sat up on the edge of the bed, "Back then I didn't know what to do for your attention and I still don't apparently." He pulled off his shirt, baring all the scars on his back to her, "For each one of those lines came with it a good excuse, except for the really old ones." His back was decorated from base of his neck to the hem of his pants in long white lined scars.

 

Mya sighed. It's not like I can have any other choice. As a child, all I've been told is to forgive and forget. I haven't been taught anything to support that. She examined Zane's scars. I don't want your attention. I just want your honesty.

 

Zane stood and paced, "My honesty? That's what those scars are for. Being honest with my father, with Templars when I was too young to fight back, and other things I can't rememeber. God, Mya, I want to be honest, I do. I just...I don't think I know how." He sounded sad, in pain from the memory, and broken.

 

Mya stood up and held his arm. Sometimes you have to let go of the past. That way, you can go forward.

 

Zane looked at her, "Let go of the past." Zane's fingers reached again for the pendent Garth had smashed, "Letting go means to let go of my family. The last thing I have left to hold on to. What would I have to keep me sane?"

 

Mya sighed. I meant besides that. I'll try to help you keep sane. You trust me don't you?

 

Zane dropped his hand from his neck and held her shoulders, "We've been through that conversation already. I do trust you." He sighed, "What else do I have to let go of? That I killed Garth?"

 

Mya shook her head. Nevermind. Forget what I said. I'm just making the situation worse. She walked over to her clothes and placed them back ok.

 

Zane watched her put her clothes back on, "Where are you going?" He followed her and gently wrapped his hands around her from behind.

 

Mya placed her hands on his arms. Oh? I thought we were done. You want to keep going?

 

He laughed into her hair, "Always..." he kissed the back of her neck and pulled her back against him, "This is just a part of being around me Mya. Never let any option escape you."

 

Mya closed her eyes and smiled. I promise. Don't you think we should do this somewhere more private? Medical rooms aren't meant for lovemaking.

 

Zane nodded but didn't let her go, "I know." He nuzzled her ear, "But I don't see anybody else coming in, do you?"

 

Mya tried to loosen his grip. Please Zane. What if someone walks in? We would be shamed for generations. I just want this to stay between us for now.

 

Zane frowned and spun her around in his arms, "Between us... Right. An assassin's reputation means a lot to us." he quoted from his Uncle, "Then by all means..."

 

Mya bonked him on the lead lightly and smiled. You really need to concentrate on other things besides seducing women. She led him to her room when no one was watching and closed it behind him.

 

He smiled and lifted her up in his arms, "What can i focus on when you're around." He was joking but his mouth was too busy devouring her to smile.

 

Mya squealed with delight. I guess I'm too irresistable for you aren't I?

 

He laid her on her bed, "Well lets see, everytime I see you I have very innappropriate thoughts. Things I shouldn't be thinking about a girl that's three years younger than I am." Holding himself over her, he kissed her forehead, "I've watched you grow up from a kid into a very beautiful young woman but...can I tell you something?"

 

Mya stared at him. Inappropriate thoughts? If this got out, you'd be in big trouble. Anywas, what did you want to tell me?
