OOC: I think everybody knows where things go from there... *skip* they have a wierd relationship.

BIC: The next morning, Zane refused to wake up early and leave. He was comfortable and warm with Mya curled against him. He held her and buried his face in her hair.

 

OOC: Meh. Doesn't matter :P

BIC: Mya cuddled up next to Zane more and made a half purr half quiet snore.

 

Zane stroked her softly and opened his eyes to the morning sunlight peaking in through her window. He'd have to leave sooner or later. He forced himself from the warm sheets and started to dress.

 

Mya reached out where Zane was only to feel nothing. She groaned and opened one eye. Zane. You're up early. She sat up and rubbed her eyes.

 

Zane leaned over her and kissed her lightly on the lips, "Well, I can't stay here all morning. Somebody might get suspicious. You know? Missing Reaper is not good to the others. I'll just pop in downstairs on them and then I have to go into town and look for a little something I lost."

 

Mya smiled. Alright. I'll wait for you here then.

OOC: Gotta sleepz nao.

 

OOC: Yea me too

BIC: Zane smiled and snuck out of her room. Heading downstairs, he ran into a few other assassins. They gave him friendly punches and he shoved them off, "Hey, guys miss me?" They laughed, "Hell no. We were betting on if you were dead. Where did you go yesterday man? We swear your little friend Mya, had a guy in her room last night." Zane feigned interest, "Oh? Mya? Isn't she the 19 year old? A little young to be sleeping with guys don't you all think?" They laughed hysterically, "Dude, you are so dumb. No she's not. We thought it would've been you but she says your not her style. Whatever that means." Zane frowned, "Well thats just fine with me. She's too young for me. I'd rather not sleep with any younger girls for a while. Makes me feel self-conscious when they get all, 'you were my first' stuff." More laughter and Zane headed toward town. He mumbled to himself, "Idiots."

 

Mya got dressed and headed outside, heading towards the training ring.

 

Zane walked back to where Garth had cornered him. Lying on the ground was his old pendent. The gold was tarnished from people stepping on it but the picture was okay. He smiled and picked it up, pulling out the picture from the little space in it and unfolded it into a larger picture. The part he'd folded behind held a beautiful young woman with golden blonde hair. She was laughing at the young Zane and the little girl hanging off him. "My sisters...Catrina, I miss you...Annabelle, I'm sorry."

The archer glared as he followed Zane from the villa into town and listened as he spoke, "You have no right speaking Annabelle's name!"

Zane whirled around at that voice, "You!" He glared at the cloaked figure, "You're the one that shot me! How do you know Annabelle?"

 

After a few hours, Mya headed back to her room. She was exhausted from all the training and new moves she learned.

 

He laughed and slipped off his hood, his brown hair had streaks of gray but his blue eyes were lively and burning with hatred, "I should've figured you wouldn't recognize me by my voice. It's me stupid."

Zane suddenly wanted to hurt something, "I remember. You're Annabelle's fiance. Is she...she's alright isn't she?"

He shook his head sadly, "Annabelle died a year ago."
Zane dropped to his knees, "She's....dead? B-but how...?"

"Her sickness got worse you idiot. Annabelle knew she would die that's why she moved. When we heard her family was attacked by Garth...now I know that was a long time ago, but I came as fast as I could to avenge them. But lookie who I found. A boy who apparently forgot about his older sister."

 

Mya sighed and flopped on her bed. He's late as usual. Hope he comes back without anytrouble.

 

He walked up to Zane on his knees, "It's your fault she's dead. If you hadn't been daddy's little boy she would've never known that anyone died. She'd be alive because she'd have had the strength to get better!" He kicked Zane and tapped his fingers against his sword, "I've never used a sword before, but I'm sure Annabelle would forgive me for killing her brother."Zane coughed and leaped to his feet, "I'm not going to go down like that so easily. I don't believe you. My sister can't have died. I left her with the best medicine money could buy."

He sighed and punched Zane in the jaw, "Well, medicine isn't enough to restore her health when she was holding on and even getting better just by knowing her family was waiting for her. Annabelle depended on you all. She was broken when she learned everyone in her home was dead! Why didn't you come visit! She would still be alive had you visited to show her you were alive!"

 

Mya got up and headed outside. She got tired of waiting for Zand and wanted to see him. She got on her horse and headed for Florence.

 

Zane spat out blood and refused to admit, "I won't believe you until you show me the truth. She's not dead!"

He groaned and hit him again, "She's dead I tell you! I wouldn't be here beating on your pathetic ass if she wasn't!"
Zane caught his next punch, "Prove it!"

He sighed, pulled away and gestured for him to follow, "Then come on. We have a cemetary to visit."----
Zane and Annabelle's fiance stopped at the undecorated grave that simply read, 'Annabelle Vivianni' It read a few other things but Zane suddenly couldn't see them. His eyes watered and he brushed the tears away impatiently, "I can't...believe this..."

He suddenly felt bad for the young man, "I'm sorry you had to find out this way. I don't think you know my name, as a gift, it's Ryku. Don't think I forgive you, you're still at fault for her death."

 

Mya rode until she saw Zane and Ryku. Zane! Where were you? She jumped off the horse and walked up to them. And who is this? A friend of yours?

 

Ryku smiled, "Far from it. I don't believe we've met. I'm Ryku."

Zane couldn't focus on them. Ryku and Mya faded to background noise. All that mattered at the moment was that his oldest sister, he thought was alive, was now dead. He fell to his knees before the grave.

Ryku patted Zane's shoulder, "He's gonna need something to help him sleep. So, how do you know Zane here?"

 

Mya shrugged. Instincts. I'm Mya by the way. She looked at Zane. Why is he so depressed?

 

Ryku looked down at Zane, "This grave is his older sisters'. She was my fiancee. It's his fault she's dead." He knelt beside him, "But he's going to pay for that aren't you?"

Zane swallowed hard, "Annabelle...it's not...how...what could I have done?"

 

Mya stepped next to Zane. It's not his fault. I know she's his sister, but you can't blame him just because you think he did something wrong. She knelt next to him an gave him a hug.
