Walking around town, Reaper suddenly felt sentimental. My sister would've liked the flowers around town today. It's not fair that she had to give up her life for nothing. "Maybe...waiting isn't good enough. I should strike first..."

 

Mya continued walking around town and saw a couple of different looking guards heading towards her direction. Mya quickly turned around and walked away, trying not to look suspicious. He's here already? Gotta move fast and head back to the villa. She looked around for a transport back to the villa.

The soldiers noticed Mya walking away and started to follow her, suspicious of her movments.

 

Garth left his rooms, his guards trailing behind him. Out in the town he searched for Zane. "I'd know him if I could just see his face."

Reaper kept moving even when he spotted the guards following Mya and Garth's guards. She can handle herself. Garth is here...this should be fun.

 

Mya walked around a corner and jumped into a hay bale. When te guards followed and couldn't see her, one went on ahead while the other poked at the hay balde suspiciously. She then lunged at the guard poking the hay bale and stabbed him, dragging him back into the hay. When the other guard came back, Mya stabbed him from behind and threw him into the bale as well. She then walked away towards the exit of town.

 

Garth stopped when he spotted a man standing still, facing him. Through the masses of people he couldn't tell if it was Zane or not. His hood was pulled over his face but he wasn't moving.

Reaper smiled and faded into the people. He really should be getting back, just scaring Garth like that again was worth the entire day.

 

Mya reached the gates of the city walls and whistled for her horse to come. A few minutes later, her horse arrived and she patted its nose. She climbed up on the horse and trotted over to the pigeon coop. She tied a note to the pigeon's leg and sent it towards the Assassin Villa saying she's arriving soon.

 

Garth pushed his way frantically through the people after Zane. "Boy, are you afraid to fight the man who killed your family?!"

That hit a nerve. Reaper stopped, something he'd been taught to never do. Turning on his heel he glared back at Garth. Reaper faded into the crowd and reappeard behind him, whispering in his ear, "More like you're the one afraid of me...Garth."

 

Mya gave her horse a light kick and the horse galloped to the direction of the villa.

The soldiers returned to Havoc. Sir, she cannot be found, but two of our guards were found dead in a haybale.

Havoc gritted his teeth and turned around. You're smarter than I thought Mya. Your luck won't run much longer.

 

Garth whirled at the voice in his ear, "You!"

Reaper lifted his hood slightly, enough to show the smile on his lips, "Yes, me." Garth unsheathed a blade and Reaper blocked it with both his hidden blades, "You move quick, old man!" Garth whistled and guards surrounded Reaper, "Kill him!"

Reaper shook his head, "Now, we're not playing nice are we." He slid his hidden blades in and pulled out his sword, "Then we dance."

 

After a couple of minutes of riding, she saw a blocked path not there last time. Strange, I didn't see this last ti- She was cut off when an arrow hit her side. She cried out in pain and fe off her horse, which then ran off. She slowly got up and looked around. Stop hiding yourself and show yourselves!

 

Reaper held his own against Garth's guards, but occasionally Garth would get in a cross-slice that would land or he'd narrowly dodge. Bleeding, Reaper blocked a guard's sword and plunged his hidden blade into his neck.

Garth saw his opening and took it. He was about to stab Zane and end his life.

Reaper threw the guard on his hidden blade into Garth's sword and turned tail. Running as fast as he could, leaving a trail of blood.

Garth slid the body off his sword with his foot and growled, "Follow him. Do not let him get away!"

 

As Mya continued to look around, 4 bandits appeared out of the trees and surrounded Mya. Well wellx what do we have here? Just some traveler. Don't think she has good money.

The other bandit spoke up. Who cares if she doesn't have money? We can use her for other purposes.

As they continued to talk, Mya pulled out 2 daggers and threw them at the bandits, killing them instantly. The other two pulled out their swords and charged at her. Mya stabbed one in the face, but the other dodged and landed a stab on her leg. Mya ignored the pain and cut his throat. She clutched her side and painfully jumped over the barricade, leaving a bloody trail. Gotta get out of here fast.

 

Reaper was still running, occasionally throwing a knife behind him to stop the on coming guards. They'd catch him if he wasn't quick to his horse. He whistled sharply, twice and a falcon came fromt he sky, flying by his side. He turned quickly and dabbed a piece of cloth to the wound and tied it around his falcon's leg, "Go, fly!"

Garth's guards followed and Garth soon after, "Not afraid are you boy? Why don't you come out and fight me like a man!"

Reaper held his side, where blood kept coming out and licked his lips, "Why don't you fight me like a man?! Unless you're afraid I'll beat you in a fair fight!"

Garth roared in anger, "Stop hiding from me! Face your end like all the rest have before you!"

 

Mya continued walking down the road, clutching her side. She knew the villa was miles away and might not make it there calculating the injuries she has. She continued to push on as if she was captured, there were worse things than death.

 

Reaper's falcon circled above Mya and cawed down to her, he knew her well. He flew down to her and hovered by her side, showing the bloody piece of Reaper's clothes.

Reaper wieghed the possibilities of coming out of a fight with Garth, the outcome wouldn't be in his favorl like this. He fled.

Garth listened and watched, before finally giving up his search and returning home. His guard looked at him, "Sir, aren't you going to follow?" "He'll come back when he's ready to face his death."

 

Mya smiled at the falcon. Good thing someone is on my side. She painfully sat down next tithe road and tried to minimize the blood loss.

 

Reaper's falcon chirped at her and wiggled his leg with the bloody cloth on it.

Reaper gasped in pain and whistled for his horse. a black and white spotted horse came galloping down the road to him. It nuzzled his face and he smiled with effort, "Nice to see you too, Nightsky." He climbed on his horse and let him trot his way down the road toward the Assassin's villa.

Garth settled back into his chair, pleased that he'd wounded Zane. He wouldn't be back until he was healed and that meant he wouldn't be sneaking around his plans.

 

Mya smiled at the falcon and gave it a little pet. You're a lucky bird. Not worrying about being attacked or doing jobs like killing or causing trouble for the cause. She heaved a sigh.

Havoc entered the room Garth has in and bowed slightly. Sir, the assassin has escaped.

 

Reaper's falcon hung it's little head and flew up in a circle around her, searching for it's master.


Reaper went in and out of consciousness as he rode. When he spotted his falcon circling, "Now what..."


Garth's good mood went sour, "Hmm, that's another assassin that's escaped my grasp today. Havoc, I trust you've been conducting your own search for the pieces of Eden, no?"

 

Mya saw the falcon fly away and got up slowly. He should be closeby.

Havoc nodded. Yes we have, although all we got was nothing. The codes we got are all clues on where the pieces are. They don't directly lead us to the pieces.
