Zane smirked, "Nope. So, direct assult or can we play with him for a while?" He chuckled under his breath and fixed his gray eyes on Japaco.

 

Mya made a small smirk and dropped down from the balcony behind Japaco with his back turned. Hello Templar. He jolted around and stared at her. You Assassin. Where are the guards? Guards! Mya took another step forward. It's just you and us. He looked back at her. Us? Mya looked up at Zane.

 

Zane dropped down from the balcony and grinned at Japaco, "Am I really sadistic to you? I would've thought I was as cute as a kitten...with claws." He drew his broad sword, "Too bad you won't be around for a change in this 'sadist'." He spit the word out like poison. "No dogs to protect you now Tempar."

 

He huffed. I didn't call you a sadistic. The leader did. As long as our organization lives, we will be unstoppable! Nothing shall get in our way for the pieces! Not even the Assassins can- Mya was tired of him talking and ran up to him, stabbing her blade in the side if his head. She leaned down and whispered into his ear. Requiestar en Pache.

 

Zane groaned, "Now that was no fun Mya. You could've at least let the scum finish his pathetic speech." Sheathing his sword he ruffled her hair, "He was significantly easier than Garth. Why, again, was he placed here?"

 

Mya scoffed. He was annoying anyways. She grabbed his bag of notes and stiffed it in her pouch. Cmon let's get out of here before other guards find out. She jumped out the window they came from and dived into a haybale.

 

Zane rolled his eyes and was about to follow her, but something caught his eye. A ring on a chain was around Japaco's neck. Zane pulled it from his neck and looked at it. He couldn't put his finger on where he'd seen the ring before. Shaking his head, he pocketed the ring and jumped out after Mya. Rolling from the haybale.

 

Mya brushed off hay and headed over to the Merichi's house. He stood outside looking well despite being stabbed. Thank you both of you. You have saved Florence from the Pazzi.

Mya bowed to him. It was all we can do Merichi of Florence.

He smiled and raised a hand. Please call me Francis. We are in your debt. Is there anything we can offer you?

Mya looked at Zane, then back at Francis. We'd like to have a nice room to sleep in please.

He pointed to a house a couple of feet away. T's a fine house. Please enjoy yourelves.

 

Zane distractedly smiled at Francis, "Zee would know about it...wouldn't he?" he mumbled quietly to himself. Zee being the assassin who bothered Mya and him constantly looking for Zane. He touched the ring in his pocket and closed his eyes, trying to summon the image of where he'd seen the ring before.

 

Mya smiled and looked up at Zane. Let's go to our room. I'm tired.

 

Zane opened his eyes and nodded, "Yeah, me too." He would have to find Zee in the morning. Twirling the ring in his fingers he walked with Mya to their room.

 

Mya opened the door and awed at the luxary of the room. It's so fancy! She jumped on a soft bed.

 

Zane frowned, he felt more out of place than in a room filled with Templars. "Living in style for the night? I wonder how long we're going to stay here, before going on to the next city." His fingers fiddled with the ring and he scuffed his boots on the carpet.

 

Mya sighed an looked at him. You really need to learn to relax Zane. Why can't you enjoy the thugs we are given?

 

Zane huffed and sat on the edge of the bed, "Relax? Who can relax after a day like today?" His mind whirled at a dizzying pace and he rubbed his temples, "I need to shut off my brain."

 

Mya sighed and turned towards the window. If that's how you feel, so be it. She scratched her neck.

 

Zane fell back on the bed, "What's that mean?" His head hurt from thinking about the ring. Lifting it above his face he looked at it, "Somewhere I've seen it....but where..." he mumbled. It's golden band and sparkling diamond made it look like a woman's engagement ring.

 

Mya tuned back and saw the ring. Hey where did you pick that up from?

 

Zane flicked the ring into the air and caught it, "Off of Japaco. I think I've seen this somewhere but I can't put my finger on it. For such a nice ring, you'd think I wouldn't be able to forget it." Holding it up to the light, he moaned, "No initials, no engraving proclaiming love, it's completely blank."

 

Mya sat on the bed. It does look pretty, but nothing to special about it. I think it's just a regular ring. Don't worry about it.
