Reaper coughed and tried to cover it with a laugh, "Don't I always? You think Alaric gets bored of being a master all the time? No assassinations? I can't imagine it." From his open window, his falcon flew in, still with the strip of bloody cloth on it's leg. "Hey little buddy." Reaper untied the cloth and stroked his feathers.

 

Mya sighed and stood up. I'll leave you alone so you can rest peacefully. Mya headed for the door.

 

Reaper snorted and lifted his falcon, "Yeah, rest, peacefully, alone. That's what I want." he said sarcastically to the falcon. The falcon chirped and he could practically understand what it meant, "I know. There just isn't enough women around here." Another knock at his door made him heave himself from the floor and saw the nurse at the door, "Well, hello there." She tilted her head, "Don't get cute. I'm here to check your wound, and bandage it up against infection." He nodded, she wouldn't be leaving here tongiht if he had any say about it...

 

Mya laughed lightly and leaned against the wall. I actually might stay. This could get intresting.

 

Reaper pleaded with her with his eyes, "C'mon now Mya, you don't really want to stay. Right?" The nurse shook her head, "She can stay. Unless you've got something to hide, Reaper. Now, come on, off with that shirt."
Reaper felt like he was being teamed up on, "You have to be kidding me. She's like nineteen-"
"And you don't even know my name." the nurse interrupted.
Reaper cast a disdainful look at Mya and pulled off his shirt, wincing as the motion pulled at his stitches.
The nurse knelt and smoothed a white slave over the wound, "This should keep off infection..."
She went on but Reaper wasn't listening, he glared at Mya, "You sure you don't have somewhere better to be?"

 

Mya gave him a small smile and shook her head. Nowhere as intresting as this. She tried to hold down a laugh.

 

Reaper shook his head at her, "That's right, all the ladies wanna get a look at the Reaper."
The nurse gave Mya an 'big ego much?' look and wrapped tight bandages around him.
Reaper lifted his eyebrows and ran a hand through his silver hair, "Alright, but don't blame me if this scars you for life." Reaper caught the nurse's hand and lightly brushed his lips across her knuckles, "M'lady, be gentle with me."
Unsurprisingly, she blushed and cracked a small smile, "Full of yourself much?"
"Not as much as I could be." he was loving that it was working.

 

Mya scoffed and rolled her eyes at him. You wish. It's YOU who can't keep your eyes of ladies. She shook her head and straightened her purple hair.

 

Reaper laughed, "Hey, I'm a guy! What do you expect? I'm not always a gentlemen." He leaned close to the nurse and whispered something in her ear that made her blush dark red, "B-but...she...I couldn't! Alaric wouldn't allow that sort of thing!"
Reaper sighed and ran a lazy finger across her collar bone, "Too bad. Alaric's such a drag now days. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we had a little fun...right Mya?"

 

Mya frowned and shook her head. Whatever. Inside, she was actually jealous that he can attract the opposite sex while she didn't attract any at all before the incident. Mya sighed and closed her eyes.

 

Reaper couldn't tell if he'd crossed a line with Mya, she was a good friend and usually watched his back. He liked her attention but she was still only nineteen, to him still a child. "Mya, if you wanna leave, you can. No one's stopping you."
The nurse nervously finished bandaging him up, "Sh-she doesn't have to leave. I should be going."
Reaper caught and held her to him, "Oh no you don't." he whispered something else in her ear and she bit her lip. "I think Mya should leave, since obviously she's uncomfortable. Get some rest Mya, everything else from here on out needs privacy."

 

Mya sighed and nodded. Yea I probably should. You two enjoy your night...or whatever happens. She closed the door behind her and stepped out of the villa, not sure what to do next. She looked at the sky. Mom, dad, I wish you were here. I don't want this life. She stared at the ring her mother gave to her at her 12th birthday. She walked back into the villa and flopped onto her bed.

 

Reaper's night ended with his motives accomplished early. It was late at night and he was walking around outside the villa, he wished he could marry someone but with the high chance of him getting killed, it wouldn't do to put someone through that. Since that nurse was spending the night in his bed, he figured he should plan his next move to bother Garth.

Garth couldn't sleep, his dreams were riddled with the pieces of Eden and Zane. The persona he'd adopted, Reaper, was troublesome. Everything about that boy had changed since he'd killed his family for a fake clue to the pieces of Eden.

 

Mya looked at the moon from her room. She couldn't sleep with all the thoughts swimming through her head. Her eye cauht a movement and saw Reaper walking outside. She pulled on a robe and headed outside.

 

Reaper was so engulfed in a memory he didn't pay attention to anything else.

Zane trailed along after his father, "But dad, why do I have to learn all this stuff?" His father stopped and glared down at him, If you never learn it, how will you become an Assassin Master, boy? You'll be worthless and start out low. You'd be dead if it wasn't for my training." Zane sniffled and slipped on the rooftops, "Father!" His father stayed where he was, blood staining the front of his tunic, "Z-zane..." Zane hit the grouhd hard and when he looked up, a man stood with a crossbow aimed at him, "Who is this?" A Templar looked at him, "Looks like a boy, sir." The man snorted and swung down from his horse, "I know that! He's an assassin's son. Boy, do you understand why your father was killed just now?"Zane looked back up to the roofs, "Father! He...he can't be...dead." he said in a small voice. The man threw his crossbow to the other Templar, "I am Garth McHugh, you'd best remember that name, boy. For one day, you'll come for me, because I slaughtered your village, and I'll kill you with my name as the last thing you say."

 

Mya walked up to Reaper and examined him. She then started to poke him. Hey you alright? You don't look very alive.

 

Reaper jerked, "Wh-what?!" he relaxed, seeing it was only Mya, "Oh, it's just you. Sorry, I was...reliving something."

 

Mya frowned. Sorry. I didn't mean to intrude your thoughts. She looked at the sky then back at him. So why are you out here?

 

He shrugged, "I dunno, same as you I suppose. Restless, thoughts." He drifted back into his past for a second and mumbled out loud, "My father never really told me why he was teaching me. I thought it was a game...I never thought I'd actually have to use it."

 

Mya looked down and then back to him. The only reason how I became an assassin is when my father died and his will stated me to continue on his job. At first I refused until I was almost killed by Templars. Then, the assassin who saved me told me to join and take revenge. She heaved a sigh and leaned against the wall.
