Fear made Zane toss him to the ground and hurry off to the east district and the werehouses. His mind screaming, Mya will be okay, she has to be okay! She just has to be! Zee panted and tried to keep up, Zane was a lot faster than him and nimble as he weaved through and around crowds of people.

They reached the werehouses and Zane shouted, "Alright you b*stard! C'mon out and fight me like a man! Kidnapping a girl, somethin' must be wrong with you! Havoc!"

 

The warehouses were still silent. A small trail of blood droplets came from one warehouse and leading towards another district.

 

Zee pointed to the trail of blood, "We might have a problem." Zane snarled, his fury mounting. Havoc's games were getting on his nerves. They followed the trail of blood, Zane hoping dearly it wasn't Mya's.

 

The trail ended at an open courtyard. There was no one except Havoc standing on the rooftop.

 

Zane growled at him, "You...where's Mya!" he shouted up to him.

Zee nervously looked around, open spaces made him nervous.

 

Havoc smiled. Don't worry. She's perfectly safe...for now.He snapped his fingers and a guard pulled out Mya. Her hands were tied and a hunk of metal was chained to her leg.You see? No harm.

 

Zane's heart lurched at the sight of her and relief spread throug him, she's ok, she's still alive. He glared at Havoc, "What's the point in this? Dragging Mya all the way to Venice. Why bother?"

 

Havoc smirked. To see how far you would go to save her. Now I know. Your weakness is her.

 

Zane flinched and Zee slapped his shoulder, "Sure but he also has a weakness for good food, sharp blades and Templar blood. You gonna exploit that too?" Zane wished he'd shut up, "Just let her go."

 

Havoc smiled. I'll let her go. The twist is what you'll do. He pushed her off the building and into the water.

 

Zane pushed Zee aside and dove after Mya.

Mya sunk to the bottom of the bay and struggled to get out, but the stone chained to her leg kept her down.

Zane pulled out his broad sword and started hacking at the chain, pure determination in his eyes.

Zee gulped nervously and drew his short sword, "I wouldn't if I were you!"

 

Mya tried biting her hand restraints off.

The brute swung his axe and knocked Zee's sword out of his hand.

 

Zane finally managed to break enough of the chain off to pull it off of her leg and slipped her bound hands behind his head. Swiming upward with her.

Zee blinked and backed away slowly, "Oh, hey big fella. Y'know we could be f-friends. I like your axe, it really brings out your eyes."
