Zane smiled, "Oh, yeah? You watch over me, huh? And here I thought I was doing all the saving and watching over you." He pulled her chin up and kissed her passionately.

 

Mya kissed him back while purring happily.

 

Zane pulled at her pants, grinning evily and licked her neck.

 

Mya let out a small groan as he continued his work.

 

Zane slid off her clothes and trailed his fingers along her. "You really think you're fooling anyone with your act, Mya?"

 

Mya frowned and poked him in the stomach. Aren't you fooled?

 

He sighed and bit her shoulder, "A little bit. But...it's not a game anymore Mya. Uncle Haru isn't pulling his punches anymore and I'm not given a free pass because I'm family." Zane shivered and pulled her closer to him.

 

Mya closed her eyes. I understand. She nuzzled his chest.

 

"I sure hope so Mya. I'd hate for you to be caught in the middle of a family feud." He brushed her hair back from her face and covered her face with kisses.

 

Mya sighed and kissed him back, wrapping her arms around him.

 

Zane struggled with his belt, he couldn't get it off without looking. He kissed Mya hard, refusing to let her go.

 

Mya kissed him back while helping him remove his clothes.

 

Zane purred and pulled her under him, keeping his wieght balanced so he wouldn't crush her. He let out a low growl and got himself ready.

Zane woke in the morning with his body drenched in sweat. He felt like he was running a fever.

 

Mya woke up and examined Zane. Something is wrong Zane. You need some help. She dressed herself and him and helped him up.

 

Zane sat up with Mya's help and smiled at her, "I'm fine, Mya. I probably just caught something from Haru yesterday. I'll be fine by tomorrow, I prom-" his words broke off with a fit of coughing. Covering his mouth with his hand, when he stopped he felt something warm and sticky in his palm. Refusing to look at it, he gave Mya a casual shrug and hid his hand behind his back, "C'mon Mya, go back to sleep, I'll get better."

 

Mya frowned, but nodded. I swear, if you're hurt, I'll kill you after I'm done treatig you.

 

Zane smiled, wiping his hand on the underside of his pillow and pulled her down next to him, "I'm fine, honest Mya. Now please, go back to sleep and let me rest. I'll be just--" another fit of coughing overtook his words. He wheezed, exhausted from coughing and fell back against his pillow. Holding his hand, again after covering his mouth, tightly shut, he closed his eyes, fighting for his breath back.

 

Mya grabbed Zane. You need help NOW. She helped him up and hauled him out of the room and towards the medical room.

Zane protested, his vision blurring as he stood and walked with her, "I feel...whoa...perfectly fine, Mya. You act like you've never had a bad cough before." He tried to brush it off as mear illness and looked at his hand when Mya wasn't looking. Inside, his palm was covered in blood, blood he'd coughed up. "Nngh...it's just...a little blood." he said to himself. He often leaned against the wall, forcing Mya to stop and close his eyes, regaining a solid line of sight before continuing.

 

Mya slapped him in the face. I don't want to hear anymore sh*t from you Zane! She grabbed his hand and felt something wet. When she looked, she saw blood. If this thing doesn't kill you first, I will. She dragged him to the medical room without letting him interrupt her.
