He kissed her and shut his door. Zane fell on his bed and fell asleep, his breathing labored.

 

Mya sighed and walked towards Zee's room.

 

Zee sat up feeling frustrated. Haru had made him look like a fool.

 

Mya knocked on Zee's door. Hey Zee, you alright in there?

 

Zee opened the door. There were dark circles under his eyes, "I'm okay. Just a few bruises. Haru's....so much stronger than me still." He touched his hair and flinched, "Is Zane okay? He took quite the verbal beating from what I remember."

 

Mya nodded. He's a bit tired, but fine. She looked at Sasha and frowned. I think I knocked her out pretty well. Sorry about that.

 

He laughed shortly, "It's alright. A little peace and quiet never hurt anybody. I haven't slept so, it's better she not see me like this." his hands shook violently and he gripped the door harder, "Wh-where's Zane? I figured he'd be with you?"

 

Mya scratched her head. Umm...he doesn't feel well. He wants some rest so I let him.

 

Zee frowned, "He doesn't feel well? What do you mean? He was fine the last time I saw him..." he trailed off, remembering the dart in his neck from Haru and how Zane had brushed it off. "He's been poisoned again, hasn't he? By Haru. I knew I shouldn't have trusted his word about that dart!"

 

Mya nodded. Yea. Don't worry. He'll survive the poison. She sat down next to Sasha.

 

Zee looked doubtful, "I've never seen anything like that poison. Haru must have had Ryku's help in creating something new. A poison you can't feel enter your system? It's unbelievable." He closed his eyes and touched his head to the wall, feeling dizzy still from Haru's beating, "How's Sasha?"

 

Mya sighed and grabbed a bucket. She'll be up soon wait a moment. She walked out and came back with a bucket full of cold water. She placed Sasha on the floor and threw the water on her.

Sasha shrieked and jumped up. My god Mya! Don't do that again!

Mya feigned. Sorry. I needed you up since Zee was worrying about you.

 

Zee hadn't heard a word. He slipped out the door when Mya had gone to get the cold water and bolted down to Zane's room. The door wasn't locked, Zee found this wierd since Zane always locked his door if he was fine. Throwing the door open Zee stopped in his tracks at what he saw.

Zane struggled against the doctors that held him down to the bed. He was a sickly pale and sweating. Gray eyes wildly looking from doctor to doctor and then to Zee, "Get me out of here! They're nuts!" "Hold still Reaper, you're ill." "NO you get your hands off of me!" Zane was clearly delirious as he jumped from the bed and backed toward the window. "I'm fi-" a round of coughing hit him and Zee noticed the blood on his shirt already as more dripped from his mouth onto the floor, "Z-Zane?" "You get away from me! I'm warning you! Back o-" he started to cough again.

 

Mya sighed. Anyways, I think Zee headed over to Zane's room. I'm going to check on him and see if he's alright.

Sasha nodded. I'll follow you along. I got nothing else to do. Both girls headed for Zane's room.

 

Panting, Zane regained his breath and snarled at Zee and the doctors, "You...I want you to stay away from me. You keep your dirty hands away from me, and your needles."

Zee took a cautious step toward him, "Hey Zane, lets take it easy now. Why don't you go back to bed, and I promise they won't touch you."

 

Mya and Sasha walked into zane's room. When they saw Zane, the gasped.

Sasha shoved the doctors aside and examined Zane. This isn't a regular poison. It's a special hybrid. It's like a poison mixed with something else. Probably a virus.

 

Zane flinched away from her, "D-don't..."

Zee put him in a headlock, despite his thrashing and when Zane twisted his head to look at his attacker, Zee could see how dialated his eyes were, "What did you give him? He looks like he's high. Zane are you hallucinating?"

The doctors look offended, "Of course we didn't give him anything like that. Are you insane? He's crazy and should be put down before he causes harm to anyone." Zane laughed, "Put down? You make it sound like you mean to kill me, you filthy rats! Get off me!"

 

Sasha sighed. I'm sorry that I have to do this. She injected a tranquilizer in Zane's neck.

 

Zane slumped in Zee's arms, still weakly trying to escape before falling asleep.

Zee set him back on the bed and ran a hand down his face, "Why does this keep happening? Ahh, Zane...." Zee looked tired as he sat beside his friend.

The doctors swarmed on Zane, poking and proding, trying to find out something.

 

Sasha examined Zane. If memory serves right, there is a neutraliazer that could be created. I'll be back. She headed to the labs. She shuffled through her papers, looking for the right one.
