Zee scowled at the bird and cradled his hand against his chest. The falcon made a series of clicks and what could've passed as a purring noise and eyed Zee knowingly. Zee glared at the bird before unfolding the note that had been attatched to his leg, "What the...Haru..." He shoved the note in his pocket and sat on the bed, forgetting his bleeding finger, "Breaking Zane's falcon's wing is Haru's way of saying he can hurt anyone that Zane loves whenever if Zane doesn't go to him and let him fight him again. Zane doesn't get a break...I can't let him go. If Haru kills him, wouldn't that mean the Templars would take him into their ranks?" He looked doubtful and worried.

Zane stared at the vial and grimaced, "So this will make me better...poisoned again...I'm going to start wearing something over my neck from now on." He gave Mya a weary smile and uncorked the vial, "Bottoms up." and swallowed the liquid. He willed himself not to gag on it and spit it back out.

 

Sasha cocked her head. It's bad. That's all to it.

Mya watched Zane, hoping he would get better.

 

Zee nodded and motioned to the falcon, "If I were you, I'd just bring him to Zane. It's probably where he was headed."

Zane set the vial aside and rubbed his temples, "I figured Uncle Haru would do something sneaky. He always did say that a hidden enemy was your worst." He didn't change and smirked at Mya, "You waiting for me to spontaneously combust?"

 

Sasha nodded and placed some bandages around the falcon's wing.

Mya smiled and ran a finger down his arm. No I wanted you to feel better.

 

Zee fell back on the bed and listened to the falcon chirrup lightly. His eyes closed and the lack of sleep caught up with him.

Zane blinked slowly and lazily gazed at her, "You sure you aren't waiting for me to burst into flame? I admit, it'd be pretty cool to see, but," he caught her hand and lightly kissed her fingers, "I think I'd rather do something else." He wasn't even sure if he could manage what he was thinking.

 

Mya smiled and nuzzled his neck. You on fire wouldn't work. It gets very messy.

Sasha placed the last bandage. There! He's all good. Zee? Oh he's asleep.

 

Zane laughed lightly, testing his body as he sat up slowly. Everything seemed to be fine, "Ugh, my head kinda hurts, what happened to me? Did someone hit me over the head with a vase or something?"

The falcon eyed his new bandages and the girl. Giving a bird-like purr of gratatude before hopping down from her hands and toward the door, pecking at it to get the girl to open the door.

 

Mya frowned. Umm...I don't think so. Just that substance you drank.

Sasha walked over and opened the door for the falcon, wondering where it wanted to go.

 

The falcon hobbled awkwardly down the hall toward Zane's room. It's little black eyes set determinedly on Zane's closed door.

Zane huffed and pushed back his silver hair, "Huh, well I feel like I was hit with a freight train."

 

Mya giggled and hugged Zane. It's alright. I'm here aren't I?

Sasha smiled and walked over to the door. You wanna see Zane?

 

Zane stroked her cheek and lightly pressed his lips to hers, "You are here, and I'm grateful."

The falcon chirped lightly and continued toward the door, his little hops growing quicker as he hurried. Once it reached the door it gave an impatient shriek.

 

Mya nuzzled his neck. I know you are. I'm here to make all your worries go away.

Sasha opened the door big enough for the falcon to walk through.

 

Zane pulled her into his lap and glanced at the opening door, "Huh, visitors at a time like this? How unfortunate."

The falcon hopped through and shrieked at Mya, hopping furiously toward Zane's bedside.

 

Mya frowned at the falcon. Huh it's trying to tell you something. Wonder what it could be?

 

Zane groaned and leaned down to pick up the falcon. "He probably wants some food. S'matter buddy?" The falcon bit his fingers and jumped down, tapping the door with his beak and looking back at him, "Please tell me you don't want me to follow you somewhere." Painfully pulling his legs over the side of the bed, he watched the curious actions of the falcon.

 

Mya smiled and wrapped her arms around Zane's waist. It's alright. Follow it and see where it leads you. Maybe some buried treasure or something.

 

Zane laughed, and coughed lightly, "I seriously doubt it. The little guy wouldn't know buried treasure from a single coin on the ground. He's much better at finding Templars and corpses." Slowly following the falcon back toward Zee's room, he sighed and knocked on the door, "Zee you in there?"

 

Mya happily followed Zane, wondering what the falcon wanted.

 

Zane pounded on the door, "Zee, hey! Get your lazy @ss up and answer the door. C'mon!"

Zee jerked up from the bed glancing wildly around, "N-no don't let the gay zombies eat me!" Zane frowned, "Uh, what?" Zee blinked "What?"

 

Mya frowned. Umm what did you say Zee?
