Reaper shrugged and laced it back on, "Sure, but you do realize I'd probably never use this. I like close ranged fighting. Get up close and.." he moved so he was extremely close to Mya, "Personal. Something that keeps me away from my targets will only be used in the most extreme of situations. Plus, it's loud, attention drawing. Kinda like you and me...attention drawing." Out of her line of sight, he fingered the little device and figured it could be used against Garth. She'd done him a greater assistance than she'd ever know.

 

Mya gave him a sly smile. Attention grabbing? You might be. I'm not. She lightly placed a hand on his chest. You're too rash. She gave him a wink and stepped back.

 

Reaper smiled. He took her words as encouragement but locked away the thoughts that might lead him to his death. "You can be attention grabbing." he said capturing her hand on his chest, "Any man can see that. If they can't they must be blind." Reaper could've laughed at himself, "If I'm rash, it's because I spend too much time with you, m'lady." He let a playful smirk dance on his lips and practiced the same trick on Mya as he'd done to the nurse. Brushing her knuckles across his lips lightly.

 

Mya blushed slightly and tried to get her hand out of his grasp. P-please. You're embarassing me.

 

Reaper let her go, "What Mya, you don't like me?" He feigned being stabbed and staggered, "Ouch, my dear, you're killing me!" He laughed unlike last night, this laughter was real. Since he couldn't remember what he'd said last night, he assumed it hadn't been that awful for her to ask him along on her trip, "So, off to our other destination? Yes? Or perhaps you'd prefer to just...go home. You know, crawl into bed, take a nap. I wish I could." He kept rambling and he couldn't understand why. She was the one embarassed not he.

 

Mya shuffled on her feet. Umm. We can go- She was interrupted by a loud bell gong and a town crier saying Make way! The crusaders are here! Mya looked towards the entrence and saw at least 20 crusaders enter the city, one of them Havoc.

 

Reaper hated that sound. The announcement caused him to turn with Mya and catch a sight of Garth with them. He gritted his teeth and fisted his hands, luckily, he wasn't holding Mya's anymore. His temper threatening to fly out of his reign. "Garth...that rat bas-" another bell toll drowned out the rest of that word.

 

Havoc looked around the people and started to talk. Citizens of Florence! Hear me well! There were 2 killings yesterday by some assassins. They escaped, but today they will die. I will offer a 10000 florin rewardtk anyone who finds the assassins. Doubled if captured alive.

Mya gripped the wall. This is bad. What can we do?

 

Reaper felt trapped inside the house, "Stay low. This is my fault. Garth and his lackeys are here for me. We have to get out of here. Going anywhere would be nice. Does your friend have a back door we can slip out of?"

Garth stood beside Havoc while he announced why they were here, "Here I thought we were safe. Senseless killing...sounds like assassins, through and through." He fingered his sword at his hip and remembered the report of the two townsmen shoved in a haystack last night. A hole large enough for a blade to have been shoved through their throats. "Disgusting."

 

Mya nodded and pulled Reaper with him. He said we need to leave town immediatly. Once we leave through the back, we can take the alley to the exit and then head for Tuscany.

Leonardo waved at them. Good luck my friends! You'll need it.

Havoc took 3 guards with him and walked around the city, stabbing every haystack he saw.

 

Reaper growled under his breath, "Garth..." He still went willingly with Mya. Unable to give up his life just yet.


Garth almost thought Havoc had lost his mind, but he trusted him. Garth sent more of the guards to block any roads leading out of Florence, "Kill anyone who tries to leave." He raised his voice to inform the citizens, "If these merciless killers are not found. No one shall be able to leave Florence until we've done an extended search. That includes your homes, so I suggest unless you don't want us to invade your privacy of your humble homes. Surrender the assassins!"

 

Mya walked through the alleyways untilthey hit an exit which was blocked by 10 guards. Crap. They got it all covered. We need to think of something. She looked around for something to be useful.

Havoc sighed. I'm gettin too paranoid about this. He headed towards the southern enterance where Mya and Reaper were.

 

Reaper felt a sinking feeling in his gut. A feeling he'd learned to trust. "Mya, we need to get out of here!" he hissed. His brain was locked on kill mode, he was useless after seeing Garth.


Garth accompanied Havoc toward the exit Reaper and Mya were trying to use. He sighed and looked up at the sky, "It would've been a nice day too." He sounded more relaxed than he really was.

 

Mya sighed. Yea but how? They'll search anyone leaving the city. She couldn't find anything that can help them leave the city.

Havoc nodded. It could've been a nice day sir.

 

Reaper needed to distract the guards. But ten guards would prove difficult. "Mya, you're not going to like this, but when I run out there and divert their attention, you escape. Don't you dare worry about me. I was trained by one of the best assassins of his time." His real motive for making her leave while he stayed behind was to get at Garth. Before she could stop him, or he liked to fancy that she would try, he dashed out in front of the guards and spread his arms wide, "Hey, am I the assassin you guys are lookin for? I didn't know that Garth McHugh suddenly cared about two drunk idiots?"

Garth was only ten years older than Havoc but still he felt like he was far out of the young man's mind set. Still, he was glad his day could be saved if they found the assassins.

 

Mya cursed under her breath. You fool. Still, she didn't want to waste his motives and waited for the move to escape.

 

The guards jerked upright and pointed at him, "Get him!" All ten guards chased after Reaper. He ran but not without a last glance and wink at Mya. He saluted with a fist over his heart and took off running away from the exit. Unknowingly toward Garth and Havoc. "Come and get me!"


Garth stopped as he saw Zane running toward them. He was still a ways from them but he pulled out one of his swords, "Am I dreaming? It's that boy! I knew it was him! I'm gonna slit his throat!" Garth's face turned an angry red as his temper flamed within his control and he patiently waited for Zane to run right onto his blade.

 

As the guards ran off, Mya headed towards the exit, looking back and wishing she could do something.

Havoc noticed Zane and pulled out his sword. This seems too easy. There must be a catch for this.

 

Reaper looked ahead of him and sidded to a stop before using the still present momentum to flip himself over Havoc and Garth. He grinned and waved to Garth, "Nice ta see ya, old man." The guards all pushed at eachother, not paying attention to where they were actually going as they propelled themselves into Havoc and Garth, toppling them over. Reaper laughed, "Oh man that was completely worth it." He turned and dashed off again.

Garth pushed people out of his way and ran after Reaper, "Zane! Get back here you coward!" Leaving Havoc to the mess of guards, he followed Reaper through several allyways.

 

Mya continued running from the town, but stopped and looked back, wondering about Zane. Don't do anything stupid. She started to run back.

Havoc pushed away all of the guards and ran after Zane.
