    Story
The land is torn apart by rebellion. Monsters scour the earth in search of victims. The king is too weak to be able to effectively rule, and in his stead armies tear apart the countryside, burning villages and ruining lives. In the wake of all this conflict, two sides have risen up against each other. The dopplers, misunderstood and downtrodden, using the conflict to their advantage to try and elevate their status in the world, and the witchers, oppressors of monsters and saviors of mankind, trying to stop them.

Which side will you take? Whose fight will you support? In this world of monsters and men, there are no right or wrong choices. Welcome to the Witcher.

Veera knelt in the dirt, reaching down to take a small amount of earth from the tracks. She had been on the trail for the last two weeks, hunting her prey with the tenacity of a bloodhound. The signs here led her to believe she was less then a day behind, and as she stood, her yellow eyes scanning the trees, they narrowed. She didn't trust the peacefulness of the woods for a moment. True to her instincts, a pack of rabid dogs emerged from the trees, snarling and growling as they surrounded her. She shut her eyes as she reached for the steel sword that hung from her back, her black hair obscuring her face for a moment before she launched into her attack, catching the first attacker in the throat. Hot blood spattered across her face, but her expression didn't change.
Minutes later, she wiped her blade clean on the grass before kneeling next to the first body. Cutting open the dog's stomach, she discovered a human hand, and several still intact fingers. Shit. She might already be too late.
She cut what she could from the dog's body, storing the meat in her pack before searching the other bodies. After concluding that besides a few more cuts of stringy meat there was no loot, she set off into the forest, her pace a quick jog.

Zack examined his face in the cracked mirror, brushing his hair to one side before exiting the small house. He stood on the doorstep for a moment before descending the steps and meshing with the marketplace crowd. He kept his head down and his hands shoved in his pockets as he quickly made his way to the usual stall. The merchant there, a friend, quickly looked around before shoving something into Zack's hands and turning away. Zack moved on, stowing the item in his pocket. It was only when he was safe in an abandoned alleyway, his only company a drunkard who was sleeping in his own piss.
He had been waiting on this item for a month. The silver dagger wasn't actually made of silver, but of tin. He carefully fastened it to his belt, a tiny bit of relief soothing the constant sea of anxiety in his stomach. It might not make a huge difference, and a witcher certainly would know real silver, but none of the common people, the ones he was around every day, would claim he was a doppler, or worst yet, turn him into the witchers. He might yet live another day, in the town of Oxenfurt.

Teriana knelt in the grass, gently pulling the white flower's stem from the ground. She needed to find one patch, and then she would have enough for the potions she desired to make. As she rose, gently pressing a hand to her aching back, no one from a distance would have mistaken her for anything but a young farmer's wife. However, her simple clothing was nothing but a disguise, and her hair, while tangled, hid a solemn face with fiery, tenacious eyes. She made sure to place the handful of flowers gently in the basket on her arm before descending into the nearby cave. She needed mushrooms as well, and while she feared no monster the caves could breed, she knew that it would be far better to enter the darkness with the light of day behind her, then to try and find her way in the darkness.

Olivia stood in a open field the meadow for sometime. She looked at the fields of flowers it was so peaceful so untouched. The creepy creatures of the dark and night did not touch this place yet, but how long would it be until that happened. She decided that it was time to move on. She pasted some woods and streams as she walked. The mountains were the hardest thing so far. She was making her way to Kaer Morhen it was somewhat famous for witcher training. She already did her training, but the chance to find other monster hunters presented them self she was going to take it. We was on the look out for and monster on her way to Kaer Morhen. Lucky the monsters did not have the misfortunate of meting her yet, otherwise they might be dead. She finally arrived at Kaer Morhen The city was huge, but nothing she did not see before in her travels. She guessed that she should go and try to meet some one so that was what she set out to do walking around town looking for anyone.

    Ava's pov:

    ava cross banner.png

She been watching the cave for some time when a girl entered a cave. Oh no she thought. Well there was no stopping the girl now. As she watched the girl enter the cave she thought, why did I not have that sealed off? It was a dumb move on her part. Whatever if she could not keep the image of the person she had she would tear his reputation apart. She walked into a house grabbing the man's clothes she got from the village the man lived in. Who knows how long she had them for? She did not know her self. She put on the man's clothes, but that was not enough she had to look like him too. With that she changed her appearance to look just like the man. She looked in the mirror to make sure everything was perfect before heading out.

Once out of her house which was hidden in the woods she headed to a near by town. Time to cause trouble she thought. She walked into the fist place she found. it was time to start.

    Cave's pov:

    cave.png

The cave was dark for Teriana, but that might not stop her. She would soon find a blue sweeter, that who knows how long it has been there. If she decides to keep going she will find a larger area the light visible, but darker. Deeper on ( light still visible) she will come across a large ice stone with frost coving it. It may be hard to see through it, but the faint out line of a person appears to be inside. Just beyond that is a deep pool of water where the cave might continue on.

Yana Aegrum stood in a forest just outside of a cave near Kaer Morhen. She was with Anabelle, her loyal minion, who was also unconscious because she'd failed the last test that had happened about half an hour ago. The test had been fairly simple. It was extreme dodgeball, with Yana hurling fireball after fireball at Anabelle. Needless to say, the girl kind of sucked at it, as was indicated by the fact she was passed out on the ground like a little wuss. Yana tossed the water from the bucket of water she was holding at the girl, and then when the girl started stirring a little Yana threw the bucket itself at her. The bucket landed straight on the girl's stomach with a light thud. "You can't even dodge that? How are you going to stay alive if you can't even dodge a bucket?" the witch criticized.

She waited for Anabelle to get up, and she hated doing that, but once the girl was up she wasted no time in getting down to business. She held up her right hand and giggled a little bit as a dark fireball appeared in her hand. "Now I'm going to throw this teeny fireball at you, and you're going to block it with your statue thing that you can do. And if you can't do that then your clothes are going to catch on fire, then you'll be naked, and then I'm going to send you into town to buy more clothes all on your own, still completely naked. So you might want to stop them. Or don't, I don't care" the witch said with a sadistic grin before hurling the fireball straight at Anabelle.

Zach Strowl stood on the farm, doing very little at that point. He was feeding his chickens to make them fat and edible, but also to produce eggs that he'd be able to sell in town for money. Mainly for eggs, but a good meal was all the kid was after. He also wanted to rid himself of the curse of the moon, but after looking for years he'd been unable to find anything. With a yawn, Zach wandered over to the fencing and sat down next to it, his legs folded beneath him much as a dog would do. It was one of many bad habits he'd picked up after all the werewolf transformations, unfortunately. And were those fleas he could feel on his back? God damn fleas, he hated them with a passion. With a sigh, he crossed his arms and just sat there, waiting for thursday's dinner to finish eating their food so he could move on and go into town as he usually did every wednesday.

Callum Crux, Witcher of Kaer Morhen, sat in a corner of a bar, simply drinking his alcohol. He was up to his sixth glass, but he wasn't feeling it too much. He hated being a Witcher sometimes. Alcohol was a poison, but he needed it because there were memories and feelings inside of him that he needed to kill. Death surrounded him everywhere he went. When he was a young boy, he'd often been the survivor of horrific incidents, but the way things were now that he was a fully fledged Witcher....he was more often than not the cause of them. Taking another gulp of his drink, he sat down the glass and ignored the looks he was getting from the people in the bar. He was used to them looking at him with disgust, what did he care? They were only people, and people kind of sucked.

Huge thanks to Cstar for this banner

Annabelle began to come to as water splashed all over her, causing the girl to shiver, this was followed by the bucket hitting her. Annabelle gasped for air as the bucket hit her. She was already finding it hard to breath after the last beating she had taken. But there was no rest for the weary, not with Yana around. Annabelle forced herself to stand, knocking the bucket off of her. Annabelle began to cough soon after awaking. Ever since Yana had found her and forced her to train under her, she had been sick. There was a rare occasion when she was not around Yana that she began to feel better, however that never lasted long. "Yes, your greatness." Annabelle replied to Yana as she ordered her around.

Annabelle was rubbing the bandage around her neck when Yana was already throwing the fist fireball. The young girl let out a high pitched scream as the fireball came towards her. She knew what she had to do but panicked too much to make it happen. Instead of creating a golem to stop the fire ball, Annabelle suddenly sucked all the oxygen out of the air. It would cause the fireball to stop, fire couldn't burn without oxygen but it also sucked the oxygen out of Yana's lunges.
"No!" Annabelle shouted as she tried to fix her mistake with her magic. It wasn't long before she undid her mistake, but now she had to face Yana. "I'm sorry your greatness. Please let me try again. Please don't punish me." Annabelle began to beg as she trembled slightly. Her fingertips touched some of the many bandages on her from previous beatings and training. This was all that she had in her life now. She was Yana's apprentice now and she was not going to escape. Annabelle already knew that so she simply followed. She was too broken and scared to leave anyways. The only comfort she had was from her stuffed bunny, but she wasn't allowed to have that during training and Annabelle didn't know where Yana kept it when she forbid Annabelle from having it. And even this was something that Annabelle was learning to accept, well not accept really just live with, loosing the will to fight against it. Every day any will to fight against Yana was being sucked away, leaving an empty shell of a girl with powerful magic powers to be bent to Yana's desire.

The town of Novigrad seemed peaceful enough, but they didn't seem to all realize that they had a trouble making prick in their presence who was also a doppler. Seth Semour walked through the streets of the town unnoticed by most, using his favourite skin from a dead man in another town. As he walked along he would slip into skins of men he passed, then he would grab a girls butt or slit their purse or grope them, then change back into his favourite skin before people could notice in the busy streets. It got plenty of men in trouble and eyes stayed off of him as he stole things. After all he had to steel to eat, and eat to live but he didn't have enough time to tell you all about it, after all he was a man on a mission. The mission was a simple one. Cause as much trouble in this town as possible, while keeping unnoticed before moving on to another town and doing the same thing. After all his life as a doppler was boring. He had no friends or family to speak of and really no purpose to life. So may as well cause as much trouble as he could possibly manage. Speaking of which.... Seth spotted a drunk man in an ally passed out. or dead he didn't know. But the man didn't seem to be important enough to notice. That skin would work well. Using that one Seth walked into a brothel and promptly began chatting up one of the woman, paying with cash he had stolen from a purse he had slit earlier.

Veera rested by the fire, one arm propped up on her knee as the other held the stick of charred meat. She took a bite out of it anyway, letting the hot food settle in her stomach as she stared into the flames. Hunts like these made her miss the days when they would go in groups. The more skilled you became, the less that was necessary, but the company was always nice. The trees whispered in the wind around her, hiding and holding their secrets as one or two birds fluttered from the sky to find a branch to sleep. It was peaceful, misleadingly so. She finished her food with a mental sigh and changed her position to kneel on her knees, one hand resting on each leg, respectively. As she shut her eyes to meditate, she let her awareness spread, just in case one of those rabid dogs was still skulking around. She hated to be the only witcher in history to be killed by a damn dog.

Zack was brave enough to venture beyond the city today. The guards peered at him but waved him on with a reminder that they wouldn't allow him passage back if he returned after dark. He sighed a breath of relief before strolling down the road, hands in his pockets and fake silver dagger at his hip. Though the chances of running to a Witcher increased in the wilds, he promised himself he wouldn't roam very far. On the outskirts of Oxenfurt lay a small tavern. The name had long been burned away by the pillaging soldiers, but the mead was still good and the food was hot. He stepped inside, the small change in his pocket jangling as he walked up to the counter and slapped down a few coins for an ale. Mead wasn't something he could afford today, but if luck looked down upon him, he might be able to by the end of the week.

Teriana stepped carefully, the bottoms of her dress swishing as she walked deeper into the dark. She whispered a few words of spell casting and a small flame popped into her free hand, illuminating the cave. It did have sunlight creeping in, sure, but she liked to be careful. The spell, while simple, could serve as both illumination and a weapon. And the creatures in caves weren't to be taken lightly. Just as she thought this, a drowner leapt out of the pool at her. She held out her hand and smiled as the fireball flew from her hand into the creature's face. It stumbled back, before falling to the ground as she blasted it once more. She carried on, unafraid, before tripping on something. Glancing down, she noticed a blue sweater, moth eaten and torn with age. Odd.....She picked it up and cautiously went in further. The clusters of mushrooms she desired would be further in, shying away from any source of light.

Up ahead, something glimmered. A golem? She stepped up to it, and after ascertaining that it didn't move, gently placed a hand on the cold surface. It hummed of magic, making her skin tingle and her hair stand on end. Within the depths she could barely see the image of a person, and she bit her lip. This wasn't so powerful she couldn't break it, but did she want to? What if the person inside was there for a good reason?

Well, you only live once. She set her basket containing the plants and the sweater to the side, out of harms way before pressing both of her hands against the nearly glass like exterior of the ice cage. "Breathe once more." She whispered as the fire shot from her hands, melting the ice. She increased the power of the flames, breathing deeply and evenly to avoid taxing herself as the ice slowly wore away to reveal the shape of a person, a young man in fact. As more of his body was released, she had to be careful to avoid burning him in place of the ice.
Finally, he was free. She took a step back, the fire still glowing around her hands as she prepared for a possible attack. "Who are you?" She asked, her voice calm but cautious.

It had been a long and harrowing journey from his hometown in Aedirn, he was still recovering from the shock of losing everything, he didn't have much more than the clothes on his back, a uniform of a country that no longer existed, a single coin he hadn't exchanged so it may remind him of his homeland and a few crowns. His family was probably dead now. He had only gotten lucky by pretending to be dead but luck was only a perspective, he didn't feel lucky at all. He shifted his weight to his good leg and looked at the city in the distance. He doubted the black ones would leave it alone as well. No matter where he ran, he felt certain it would follow him. The world as he had come to know it was coming to an end. Or as that one street preacher put it Nigh is the time of the sword and axe. He looked around him, the looks on the faces of the people and saw they tried to mask their fear of the War making it here.

He walked out of the city gate, the city was no place for people like him, except to sell excess produce. He wandered down the dirt roads past the little wooden shacks,he had gotten instructions on how to get to his recently acquired land. He had somehow become a free man instead of a serf. He didn't really care for the technicalities of it all and it didn't even feel very different. Just that he wouldn't have to give a part of his produce to the lord, but Harvest was still a long time away and he was unsure how he would make it all work out until then. After a while of walking he finally arrived at his land, mainly grassland at the edge of the woods, it would need some work particularly in the housing department but he would make it work, he had to, he hadn't survived the battle only to die of starvation.

She was still In the body of the man. She was still wearing his clothes too. The town she went to earlier that day was a huge thing. A smile was across her face as she walked out of the town. What was next she asked herself. She could continue to tear the man's reputation apart. It been fun so far and really there was nothing from stopping her. She was out of the city now, and into the wilds. She walked for some time before she smelled fire. Where there was the small of fire, the fire its self was sure to be there. When there is fire there sure to be a person near by. She kept walking. She found herself in the woods. She spotted the fire now. A smile across her face. This was going to be fun. How easy was it going to be was another question. She stepped closer and closer to the fire. The was a woman there. She had practiced the art of sounding like a man so she should not be able to tell. Then She remembered something. She had something to do. She moved out before she was spotted by the girl making her way to her next project. This new town was some what unknown. The stories of this place was somewhat interesting. What a better way to take someone down then to destroy a town in a body of a man.

Kaer Morhen was a bust. There was no famous for witcher training or none she could find. It was the biggest mistake ever. She was not sure what she went there in the first place. The closest town was Oxenfurt. It was a four day trip. She hoped that this was not going to be a waste of time. Earlier in the day she had got enough supplies to last her to she got to Oxenfurt. She let out a sigh and went on her way. She wondered what she would do for four days. She was sure something would come up like a creepy creature to fight. She knew how to fight them too so nothing was hard anymore.

The ice melted covering him from head to toe in water. He fell to his knees letting out a gasp of air. His hair was white with spots of brown that was slowly turning white too. He let out a shiver shaking badly. His mages staff on the ground. The looked at the person who freed him, then to the staff he could not use magic even if he wanted to. Who was he was the question. When was he? His eyes covered in worry. "I donddot knoeoeow." He shrived. "Waititt willllliammm, yeaaaa thattttt isss ittt." He was so cold he could not speak. "Yearrrr" He asked simply. The fire in the girls hands. It was so inviting.

Walking along the dirt path that lead into White Orchid, Kruez was silently traveling on his own. He may have been a traveling alchemist, but that was mostly to make some extra money. Being a mage was great and all, but he preferred not to use it around others if he could help it. It was a simple matter of preference. Not that he ever needed to explain his reasons to anyone else though, so with that in mind he started to venture further into White Orchid.

Okay, because I forgot to credit Cstar, I'm just going to put this here. I did almost nothing for the banner you see inserted above, it was all her. If you ever need a banner, I would highly recommend seeing her graphic's shop because as you can see she is pretty damn good at it. Eternally grateful for it, my friend.

Yana was coughing a bit after the oxygen had been sucked out of her lungs. She had to admit, her young apprentice had an impressive spell there, and under most circumstances that would've probably caused Yana to actually show some sort of praise, but certainly not after she'd used the spell directly on Yana. Sure, Annabelle could've killed Yana with that spell and she supposed she had to be thankful for that, but there was one unforgivable thing that Annabelle had done.

    She had cheated the game.

Yana skipped over to Annabelle, the usual giddy look on her face as she went over there. "That was interesting, very interesting, you sucked aaaaall the air out of the place" she said, before landing a vicious backhand on the girl's face, "and you completely cheated! I told you to use the statue thing not try to kill me! That's it, you're going to have to learn your lesson" the witch scolded. She was going to make good on her threat, even if it wasn't the fire that punished the apprentice. She grabbed the girl and simply ripped off the clothing, using the smallest of flames to weaken the fabric so that she could do that because shut up its possible. "We're going to do this one more time. Just one. If you do what I tell you, you can stay here, if you don't then you're going to go for walkies into town just like that to get me things" the young witch said, sinister grin on her face as she did so.

As the back handed slap hit Annabelle's face, she couldn't help but let tears flow. Fresh blood started to leak through a bandage on her face from a rather deep cut she had received days before. The cut stopped bleeding the day she got it, but the backhanded slap seemed to have reopened the wound on the young girls face. It stung quite a bit, and the tears in which were absorbed into the patch over her eye were not comfortable either. "I am sorry your greatness." The girl sobbed again but that wasn't the end of her punishment... no that would be too nice given who her teacher was. Yana took a hold of her so it made it hard for her to fight back and then ripped off her dress. She could feel the heat from the flame that Yana used to help burn through the straps holding it on her shoulders. The girl was left with no clothes, her only ones she had lay torn on the ground, unwearable any more. She shivered as the chill from the open air snaked her way up her spine. And of course with Yana standing so close to her now the torment went on.

Knee's trembling Annabelle fell to her knees coughing viciously as the illness that Yana spread, took hold of her more. It was the woman's special ability, everything around her got sick and lots of things died just because she stood by them a moment too long. If she kept some distance from Yana it generally wasn't too bad, but with Yana right beside her, she was struggling not to cough and lay on the ground completely. Luckily for Annabelle Yana backed off, however this was only for another fireball to be thrown for training. If she messed this one up she would have to go for a walk in town like that. It was possible that she would be able to find someone to help her there, someone would take pity on her for sure. However if she went with them, Annabelle was certain that would only lead to their death. Yana wouldn't let her go that easily. So as the next fire ball was thrown at her she had to do her best to put up a golem to protect herself. The problem was to make one it took Annabelle a lot of concentration and energy, making it hard to make one while a flaming ball was thrown in her direction. This time she was able to make one, however it wasn't big enough to protect her fully. The ball of fire hit the small rock golem and the flames licked around the side lighting a few of her bandages on fire.
"Ah! Make it stop! Make it stop." The child screeched as she started hitting at the flames to try to put them out, though they had caught bandages on both arms on fire. "It hurts! Please help me Ya- I mean your greatness!" The girl begged as she desperately tried to put the flames out without sucking the air out of the area because chances were she would accidentally kill herself trying to do that, catching the air in her own lunges as well as the rest of the area.

It was a few hours before Seth left the room in the brothel. Oh that had been fun, so much fun. He had left the girl gasping for more and more, until he pushed it a little too far. Of course then to keep the girl from talking right away he had to knock her out and stage it like she was simply sleeping, enough for him to slip out of the brothel unnoticed, then he slipped back into his preferred skin to continue walking around. With a different face there was no way anyone could tell it was him, and on top of that he had a great few hours, it was a lot of fun... at least for him. By the end perhaps not as much for the girl but he liked to get a little more violet when he got bored with the normal stuff, that is when the girls tended to get a little too loud.

Now what was he supposed to do? He had his fun with the ladies, he had stolen plenty, including a new set of clothes that some guy left laying on the floor of his room in the brothel when he passed out, leaving his behind, just in case someone decided to look for him based on his clothing choices. He would soon ditch these ones too when he got far enough away and decided to buy new ones, but for now they would do. Perhaps he should slip into another brothel down a ways more, or perhaps there was something else a little more exiting he could do here, the question was what?

From the corner of his eye Seth caught sight of some horses that seemed to belong to law enforcement in the area. Perfect. Once again Seth slipped through allies until he found a drunkard to take the appearance of. With that done, and the man now knocked out so he wouldn't be showing his face anytime soon, Seth slipped out to the horses, when no one was looking he mounted one and galloped away. It was time for a full speed chase.

That girl that was sitting by a fire gave her an idea. She had to do it anyways. There was gold in the mines. She wanted it all and the less people around the better. The town was some what small. She did not think anyone would notice a small unknown town that went missing. It was all going to be to easy. The town was set up to go out hours ago. She took a walk around the town a few times just to make sure people saw her face. The mans face. This was going to be a fire show. It really did not matter what she did though, soon the whole town would be dead all but one would survive. One she was sure the people in the town got a look at the man's face she was using to walked to the entrance of the town. She took out a lighter bent down and light the candle. The trail of fire spared fast. The screams of people in there home could be herd. A smile on she face she could not have timed this better. Everyone was in there home or near something that was on fire in a minute.

    `Later
She walked into the mine that was said to have gold. She went deep, but only found a few small pieces of the stuff. Well nothing ventured nothing gained. She walked out of the town with a somewhat disappointed look. She was able to get some gold, but enough was never enough.

Ethan's six birthday was coming up in a few days. He was almost happy the thought of turning six thrilled him. Almost 3 years later he in a unknown town he thought he was able find pace. He smelled it first. Was it a dream? It was going to be a repeat of events again. The smell of fire filled his nose. No not again. He held on Fluffy tight as the building burned down around him. He could see other houses on fire. Everything would soon be gone. The farms, the trees everything would be gone. Sadness filled his eyes. He could feel the ground around him move, but he did not know what was going on. Soon all he could see was fire. Would he be lucky the second time? He was not sure. Then it happened a small whole opened up. He moved out if the burning house as the house fell apart behind him. It happened again. The people that took him in were now dead. He was able to make it out again. What was next for him? He found himself lost in the woods with nothing but, Fluffy and his backpack. He was afraid. He was so uncertain. He smelled of smoke and fire. His blond hair looked to be an ash color and his clothes were ripped and burned in various places.

Tatiana woke up, groggy, at first slightly confused where she was and what was going on. She looked around the room and discovered that she was in her room in the brothel in which she worked, however there was no sign of her client. Looking around she could feel a pain from a cut or something in her neck, and on her shoulders. This got Tatiana sitting up in bed trying her best to remember what had happened hours before.

Tatiana had taken a client, not a regular, just a random person who walked in during the day. He had paid a lot for her services she remembered, meaning she was pretty much expected to do whatever he pleased as long as it wasn't physical abuse pretty much. As much as she dreaded clients who paid for that kind of stuff, she needed the money so she wouldn't complain. It started out as any other client would. She remembered talking, letting him vent, stuff like that for a bit. As he talked his hand wandered all sorts of places on her body, making her uncomfortable but this was expected from many men so she could deal with it. Then he moved in on her, and she let him. Following that was pleasure, the kind she hadn't gotten from a client in many years. She could remember that please well. However it was shortly after that her memory got a little fuzzy but things also got worse. Tatiana could recall now him starting to get too rough. The entire experience had been rough but now it was going over the top. Playful nips and her neck, ears, shoulders, and various other parts turned into harder bites. His gentle touch he kept on her arms turned into an iron grip, with his nails digging into her skin. She was about to say something about it. Tell him to stop, call for help when he casually grabbed both wrists with one hand above her head and sat on her so she could move. His hand cupped around her mouth to keep her from screaming. He spoke to her but she couldn't remember what he had said. Then he reached under one of the pillows grabbing something, a knife of some sorts and held it to her as a threat. He gagged her and tied her wrists up as he continued on, sometime pleasure, others pain, but the gag in her mouth stopped her from screaming. After that she couldn't remember anything. When it ended or how she ended up asleep, her best guess was drugged, but of course the man took all the evidence with him. Tatiana figured he would have had to place the items he needed under the pillow when she left the room to change into his selected outfit, something she would have to remember next time.

Tatiana at last got up and dressed, doing her best to cover the marks left by the mans fun he had with her, and slipped out of the room.

"What were you doing in there so long? Did you fall asleep on a client? Is he still in there?" One of her friends and coworkers whispered when she saw Tatiana leave the room.
"No he left. I guess I must have fallen asleep... I haven't been getting enough lately." Tatiana said as she kept her eyes to the ground.
"Tiana look at me. Now!" Her friend demanded, lifting the young womans chin to look her in the eye, catching how horrible she looked and some of the marks left on her neck. "What did he do to you? Why didn't you call for someone?" When Tatiana didn't respond her friend looked shocked and sorry. "He didn't let you did he? You tried and he shut you up? Oh poor thing." The woman gave her a hug. "You have to tell someone." She urged
"No it is okay." Tatiana responded at last. "Really it is fine. He didn't hurt me that much." She insisted. Truth be told if she let it slip that something like that happened to her, there would be an investigation and if the investigation lost any customers, guess who's debt would grow even more. "I am just going to go home. I might not be back for a couple days. After all what guy would choose me with all these marks." Tatiana told her friend before rushing out the front door. Luckily they were not tied to work in the sense they had set shifts and hours. They just came when they needed money, worked only when they wanted. However this tended to be often due to the debt that hung over almost every girls head. They wouldn't escape for many years. Those free of the debt never stayed. The only ones there were the ones that had no other choice. If you tried to escape your debt then you were captured and forced to live in the brothel and offered for the clients with more nasty tastes, like violence. Tatiana would never take that risk.

Aaron stepped out of the city of Kaer Morhem, clenching his fist as he looked into the sky. "I have done it sis. I am a Witcher now." He said with great pride. Aaron ensured that his Katana's were secured to his back properly before holding a sack of coin in his hand, money his sister had sent him for his travels. "This will be the last payment sis, I promise. I will get home, make sure you are safe, and then I will find work. Soon I will find the money to pay off your debt. You will be free, I promise." The young man said out loud, reminding himself of his promise once again. He had to get home. He knew his sister was working harder than she should have to in a scummy brothel just to provide him with funds to live. He used that as motivation to grow stronger, strong enough that he would be able to protect her and defeat any wrong in this world. He would also become a famous Witcher with lots of money. This was his plans.

The young man didn't take much time to reflect on the town he had spent so long in training to become a Witcher, he was too excited to get back to his port town of Novigrad. It was going to be a long journey home, and he didn't know what he would come across, but if he was able to find jobs on the way home so he could return some of the borrowed money to his sister to help pay off debts then he would. She took care of her for so long, it was time for him to take care of her. Brushing his shaggy white hair from his face, Aaron set his eyes west, towards home and began to walk.

There had been a presence. A man...and yet not a man. Veera's eyes opened and narrowed as the creature approached her. The witcher necklace at her throat pulsed, and she got to her feet just as the man decided to turn, and leave. Veera hesitated, her mind quickly flashing through her options. She could either chase the woman, who was a monster of some sort, or she could carry on with her prey.
Though Veera longed to hunt the victim in front of her, she knew her place was on the trail. The woman, or whatever she was, had not been a high vampire or a witch. Neither would have shied away from taking on a lone witcher. So that left a doppler. She knew what harm the dopplers could cause, but the harm her prey might do could cause more.
Nevertheless, she sent a last glare after the retreating back of the stranger in the dark, praying that he would find bad luck along the way that would help him out of this world.
Veera knelt down and extinguished her fire before hoisting her pack onto her back and continuing on the trail. Soon, very soon she would catch her quarry.

Zack was working on getting good and drunk. He hadn't looked at any of his bar mates, and he didn't plan to as he downed mug after mug of liquor he most certainly shouldn't be spending money on. His state of mind slowly fading, his senses dulling, he was putting himself in danger, and he didn't even know it. Not yet, anyway. He signaled the barkeep for another before laying his head on the counter top, the room pleasantly spinning around him.

"William?" The poor boy looked half frozen to death, and while Ana lowered her hands, she didn't lower her guard. She knelt next to him, fishing in the basket for the sweater that she had found before handing it towards him, waiting for him to put it on before she began to rub his hands, trying to get his fingers warm. He should have suffered severe frostbite after being in a prison like that, but suprisingly he seemed to only be very very cold.

"My name is Teliana. The year is 258. It's the winter of 258, to be more correct." She frowned slightly before letting his hand drop and holding her palm upwards instead. A small flame consumed her skin, warming both her skin and the boy's. "How did this happen to you?" She asked, her eyes searching his face with concern and curiosity.

She felt her pockets from the gold that was just took from the mine. The Town was where she took it from was nowhere near her now. She was long gone now and in a unknown location. There would be no way anyone from the town she just burned down would be able to find her other otherwise. She had to find somewhere else that had gold, because the last place was nothing but rock and nothing of value. Gold was becoming increasingly harder to come by. Maybe she would have to start looking into other riches. Maybe copper or iron would do. There was always platinum, although that was hard to come by. She was lucky that the town she burned down everyone died or so she thought. Just like the last and the time before that and the time before that. There was nothing that would stop her in her quest to continue to get riches and money. Anyone one that did would thing she was a different person and when the tome came she would just choose another person.

She continued to walk to Oxenfurt. Kaer Morhen was long gone by now. The field and mountains were everywhere she looked. There were some caves that she just pasted, but she keep on walking. She smelled fire, but keep on walking. Then in happened. A couple Rabid dogs came out of nowhere. One jumped at her, but she was able to move out of the way. She to took her steel sword jabbing it in the first Rabid dog, but there was still more.

He Just looked at the girl when she handed him his sweater. He did not put it on yet. Her name was Teliana. 'The year is 258. It's the winter of 258, to be more correct.' What that could not be. "Are you sure that that be right." Then the fire came and he thought he was going to be sick. He would have to if he had anything to throw up. He was heaving. It was almost like the fire was death to the man. The thought of frost and cold was a welcoming thought. Then he saw the water and walked towards it and jumped in. The moment he touched the water it began to glow. He looked at Teliana 'How did this happen to you?' she asked. "I don't know I was attacked by someone with water magic. I used wind to protect myself and the next thing I know is that I am on my knees looking at you." The water was slowly giving back his manna.

Once again, Cstar did a fantastic job of making this and I take no credit at all in making it.

Yana cocked her head to the side as she watched Annabelle screaming because of the flames. Part of her wanted to let the girl burn, but she did have some rather interesting powers. On top of that, she was an adequate meatshield and test dummy, so she was useful in that way too. "Fiiiiiine" she said, before commanding the flames to stop. She rolled her eyes as she looked at the girl before her. "You managed to stop the flames a little, so I suppose it wouldn't be fair to send you into town all naked and stuff. Still, you didn't do what you asked. What to do, what to do..." she questioned, sitting down on a rock to think. A moment later, the girl snapped her fingers and stood up. "I got it! You're looking a little sick, that's probably what is messing with your magic and making you suck. So, we'll get medicine. I know a great recipe for a potion, but there's one ingredient missing. There are these mushroom things, about this big" the witch said, holding up her hands to show how big it was. "They only grow in really dark areas, but there's a cave not too far from here so we can give that a try. Lets go!" Yana proclaimed, walking away. She wasn't asking Annabelle, and hopefully the girl knew her well enough to recognise that.

Callum was still drinking, and it was only just now beginning to have an effect. Well, it wasn't really changing anything about him, but he could feel it slowly kicking in. Damn Witchers and their near-immunity to alcohol. However, a man over at the bar didn't look as though he were handling his alcohol well. It wasn't exactly Callum's problem, and maybe he would actually get paid to sort it out if the man got violently drunk and then started something, but if that happened it brought a new problem with it; Callum would have to interact with more people. No, best to cut it there. He stood up and sighed, before stepping over and sitting next to the man. "I think you've had enough to drink" was all he said as he reached over and grabbed the glass away from Zack.

Annabelle's screaming died down when Yana put out the flames, however she was still sniffling as tears steamed down her face. Whatever remained of the bandages that had caught on fire now fell off Annabelle and littered the ground, scorched. Where the bandages where held an array of cuts and burns still healing from other "training accidents." They were all now however covered with fresh blistering skin from the burns, blood dripped down the girls arm from cuts that the burn had reopened or blisters that instantly popped. Annabelle shuttered with the pain but at least it wasn't on fire anymore. Despite the pain, Annabelle was forced to leash in her crying, keeping it silent and to a minimum. She knew that Yana didn't like it when she cried, it made her weak apparently. Annabelle did her best not to look at her scarred and maimed arms.

Yana then decided that they needed to get medicine for her because she was sick. She wanted to protest that she was always sick and it wouldn't make a difference but at this point she was too scared to say that to Yana. Besides Yana wanted something from a very dark cave, she, like many little kids was afraid of the dark and she was sure Yana knew that. Yana wasn't going to do this to help her, but as another form of punishment. At the very least no one would see her in her nakedness, she supposed that was a good thing. Before she followed Yana like the woman indirectly ordered her too, Annabelle had to do something just to make herself feel a little better, even for a moment. Annabelle began to use her magic once again, creating a golem, this time one far bigger than either her or Yana. However the process to do this was not instant, it took about eight seconds for the rocks to float into place to create the shape and for it to come to life. She was not able to do this in an instant as protection, it was too big of a task for her, but if she had the time she could make a big one that would fight. As for stopping other things she could just control the sand to make a wall, but that was not good enough for Yana, it had to be a golem.

With the golem behind her Annabelle turned to Yana, only with one question she wanted to ask. She hoped proving that she could make this golem would help convince Yana to do as she asked.
"Um... Your greatness?" Annabelle started to ask nervously. "C-can I have my bunny now?" She asked, wanting the one thing that brought her comfort before heading into a dark cave. She was ready to follow Yana now, but she just wanted her bunny, it would help she hoped. She also hoped that it would distract her a bit from the pain. The bunny was the only thing she had left from home, she just wanted it back, she wanted to hold it, it helped. However Yana controlled when she could have it or not, so she might have been out of luck, especially considering that she figured this dark cave thing was a source of punishment in a way.

The chase was on, Seth lead the law enforcement down near the docks, keeping his horse a couple strides ahead the entire time by throwing things in the way behind him, knocking stuff over and such. He kept this up until he road right into an open warehouse stacked with creates for a shipment. He soon dismounted the horse, giving it a slap on the butt to send it running away and slid into the labyrinth of creates. When he was out of sight of anyone he switched forms. walking through the boxes looking like he was examining them before they were shipped out. He could hear the guards walking around inside, even passing him before they got through the warehouse without sign of the man they saw steal the horse.
"Where the hell did he go? He couldn't have just vanished." One of the guards said, frustrated.
"I have a sneaking suspicion that there might be a doppler in this town. I have heard of many incidents where something happened and the person matching the description was reported seen far enough away it would have been impossible for him to get there in that time." The second guard informed the other two guards he was with.
"Then what do we do?" The third asked.
"I don't know. Hope that a Witcher or really anyone more qualified to deal with dopplers arrives in this town soon I guess." The second one said again before they all left.

Seth kept his head down, making himself look busy while trying not to smile as the guards talked. So they suspected what he was? Well good for them, about time someone noticed the relation in all the problems that were happening. He was not scared of them knowing what he was, he was still confident that he could outsmart them, and any witcher or other person that they threw his way as well, it would just make things more fun in his dull life. With the guards long gone Seth wandered out of the warehouse and down the streets once again.

Tatiana ran through the city streets, not really caring about the weird looks people were giving her. Most people were never in that much of a rush to get anywhere, and especially not looking as tired and ragged as Tatiana did at that moment. Tatiana only had one thought in mind however, the safety of her own home. The only place that she ever felt safe, though over the years of barely having enough money to keep her and her brother going, it began to get a little rundown. It was still livable, everything worked, but the outside didn't look like much and it seemed everyday something new was thrown at it or someone wrote something else on it's walls. That was something Tatiana couldn't always do anything about. She could scrub the food off the side, but the writing would require a new paint job, and there was no way she could afford paint. But at least the lock still worked on her house, she could keep people out of it, and that was all that mattered to her.

As Tatiana approached her modest home she could smell rotten eggs. As she got closer she could see someone threw them at her door as well as writing things like, Wh*re and Sl*t, In big lettering on her door. Tatiana only sighed and stepped over the egg into the house to retrieve a bucket of water. Soon after she was back outside with a scrub brush and a bucket of water scrubbing the egg from her door, and taking dirt from other areas of her property to cover the egg on her dirt path leading to the door. As much as she hated having to do all this, she knew she would have to or the smell would get in the house too. Besides when her brother eventually came to visit she didn't want to seem like she completely let everything go, in the time he was gone training.

Aaron had been walking for quite sometime and was considering stopping for a lunch break when he heard the sound of rabid dogs. With a concerned look on his face he cautiously walked towards the sound, keeping his eyes pealed for them as well as what they might be attacking. He caught sound of one of the dogs yelping before going silent. Whatever they were attacking had just killed one it seemed. With a few more quiet, cautious steps Aaron was able to catch sight of what they were attacking, a young woman. He slowly drew his steel sword from his back. This would be his first fight on his own, not under the watchful eye of those at the academy.

Aaron came in from behind stabbing the second dog in the back before it noticed he was there, but there was another one coming from in the cave.
"Run, I will cover your back. I would rather not kill all the dogs that might be in there for being hungry, but I can't let them hurt you. So get out of here and we will leave them be." He told the girl, holding his Katana out in front of him, ready to hold back any more dogs. One came running at him but instead of stabbing it as it leaped towards him, he used the blunt side of the weapon to push it back. "Get out. Now!" He ordered the girl not wanting the kill the thing unless it was necessary to save her.

The first Rabid dog went down without to much effort. Her steel sword stained with blood. She could sense that there was more rabid dogs around. She could also sense something bigger and turned around ready to cut the thing. She nearly cut the man that was standing there. He was sloppy and in the way. At no time should someone ever get that close. Next time the man could end up dead. She could tell that this man was a witcher, not a very trained one at that. He was probably new. If he was that explained a lot. He had a lot to learn. The man steeled her kill, and she let out a sigh. Then the man said 'Run, I will cover your back. I would rather not kill all the dogs that might be in there for being hungry, but I can't let them hurt you. So get out of here and we will leave them be.' "Watch yourself" but she could tell it was going to be to late. She turned and took her sword pointing it up at the jumping rabid dog. The dog ended up impaling its self. She then dropped the dog down. Hunger or not the rabid dogs were better dead then alive where they could hurt someone. Letting any live would just bring shame to her town and family. The monster like this killed her whole town. She did not know what to say to this man, but running was such a bad idea. "Never turn your back on a monster and run." This man should know this it was rule number one when training to be a witcher. Most times when you do this you ended up hurt or worst dead. They would jump from behind you and bam you would be dead. Another two Rabid dogs came running it was starting to look like she was going to have to save this man's life. She let out a sigh and used Igni setting the two Rabid dogs on fire. Soon after the two Rabid dogs dropped dead. "I got this, go." The question that was brought up in her mind was why was the man here? She was going push the questions out of her mind until this was over and the man was gone. This man needed to move unless he wanted to die.

Veera was really close to Novigrad all along, despite whatever her creator might have said while either drunk or confused. As she walked through the city gates, head held tall, the guards didn't question her. How could they, with her yellow eyes catching the sunlight and the medallion glinting? She was called to higher authorities then they were, and she didn't answer to the laws of men unless it suited her.

Which it did, but that wasn't the point. She walked along the cobblestone streets of the massive, city, keeping her wits about her as she strolled, seemingly enjoying the sights of the biggest population gathering of men in the north.
A walk by the docks would suit her just fine, she decided, turning left and gracefully making her way down to the wharf. The creaking of ships and the smell of the salt water always calmed her. And it was as good a place as any to start looking.

Zack mumbled and tried to grab the glass back, unable to form a coherent sentence as he looked back at the man who had dared to severe his only connection with a painless past time. And froze. Yellow irises with cat pupils stared at him, rooting him to the spot. There was only one creature on heaven and earth that carried eyes like those. Witcher. Zack's senses were too dulled to act sensibly, but he at least carried enough that he didn't draw his dagger. Instead he stood stock still, frightened beyond words, certain that his time had come.

Teliana frowned, confused when William jumped into the water. After a moment, she understood, and extinguished the flame in her hands. "Ah, I apologize. I did not understand." She stood, brushing off her skirts and picking up her basket to let it rest on her hip, staring out at the water. "So...no idea, huh? That's strange." She hummed to herself, thinking as she gazed at the calm liquid. "Well, if you don't mind, I'll be on my way now. You look much better then you did before, and the way to the entrance of the cave is clear. No monsters or anything." Now that she thought about it, she wondered if the voices she thought she heard echoing against the walls were that of a passing villager, or of an explorer. She deeply hoped it was the former. William was likely still recovering from his ordeal, and she didn't want to deal with the drama of an overexcited adventurer challenging her to a fight or trying to assault her. Both ended in the smell of cooked meat and ruined clothing.

He walked around. He was nervous. Maybe the people he ran into wouldn't think the drastic weather chance was his fault. He didn't make it snow on that poor farmers land for weeks and ruin his crops. It was a random weather pattern. He thought of somehow hiding he had the ability to change weather. People always seemed to find out. As began to be getting nervous it started to get cloudy almost like magic. But he wasn't trying to make it cloudy or rain, perhaps this was normal weather for a change.

The first thing he did was put his sweeter on when Teliana seamed to be leaving. He stood in a way so the water was just above his knees. His wet white hair dropped water onto his sweeter. As he stood there he also picked up his mages staff. With that said and done could leave at any moment. 'Well, if you don't mind, I'll be on my way now. You look much better then you did before, and the way to the entrance of the cave is clear. No monsters or anything.' "Wait the person that attacked me could very well be watching the cave and attack us or you as soon as you leave. I think it would be better to find another way out of the cave then to just run out. Just think about it. I think it is the safer choice. While it dose not appear that there is a other way out. I think there is one." He was rather certain of this. It was better to find a other way out then to go out the way they came in. "If you want to go that way out I am not going to stop you." The water he was in was most helpful. He then filled up his water jug that he always had on him. Now he had water on the go. If he had to guess the time from when he was freed to now it would guess it has been around a hour more or less. "William Snow." He was finally getting to telling Teliana his full name. Well is was better now then never. "Well thank you for freeing me Teliana."

The woods were a scary place. He heard a twig snap, held onto fluffy tight and let out a small scream. All he saw was bunny and let out a sigh off relief. As long as he had fluffy he would be safe. His birthday was tomorrow and it was turning out to be a fine one at that. He could hear the sound of dogs in the great distance. Maybe in was the fact that he was coved from head to toe in ash from the fire he escaped from that was keeping things away. He hoped that this was true, but he was not so sure. He continued to walk in the wood and was still very lost. Maybe if he kept moving he would find a way out he thought.
