Audio One-Winged Angel Recital

So here's One-Winged Angel I played at my recital in June. I know it's not perfect, but it's what I managed since it's probably one of the better times I've played it, and the flip camera ran out of better :l

Excellent job, Aqua.

In my opinion, you keyed every part perfectly. There are some obvious differences, but a lot of it pretty much sounded like the track itself rather than like it's being played on a piano.

I think you should try to play Spooks of Halloween Town and Old Friends, Old Rivals, as those are two of my favorite tracks.

 

You did awesomely. I mean, seriously. Awesome. :3 The only issue with it I saw was just a couple of spots that were inconsistent in terms of timing, but the actual notes and sound of it, you did wonderfully, and 98% of the time it sounded flawless. Great job!​

 

yeah, I noticed that too. And I didn't even remember messing up except for like 1 or 2 times. I guess I did more than I thought, sorry about that. I and didn't remember the exact timing for the song, so yeah, it's very likely the timing was off for some parts

 

OMG!!!!!!!!!! That was awesome!!!!! For it being a little slow and choppy, you still played that like a boss. I couldn't contain myself from singing it in latin.

well, if by missed you mean mess up, than yeah, because I didn't skip anything from the sheet music

 

Overall, I'd have to say not too shabby. There were some spots where the rhythm got distorted, which was most obvious to me at the very beginning, and then a few spots throughout. It seemed more like hesitation and nerves on your part though, as opposed to not really knowing the part. Also, I'd have to say that the dynamic contrast could have been wider. You seemed to have hung out at the middle ranges through the piece. If you ever return to this piece as a performer, take the time to put some more contrast, and really exaggerate the extremes. And of course, and this will come with practice and experience, really just go for the performance. Get into the music more. Even just a bit of body language where possible can really amplify a performance.

 

nah, I'm done with this piece. There's no need for me to do it anymore. I learned it just for this. Most of my song's timings are off because I count a little faster than most people, so I end up moving a little faster than needed, or I try to hold it longer than needed. You should see me flying Through Fire and Flames. Actually, you will when I get it again and record it, but that's another day. And this time I wasn't nervous, and I know I didn't mess up from that.

I only managed to watch 41 seconds, and i know I'm not getting that one done. Right now I'm trying to get Those Who Fight, and it's still tricky.

@Hearts You could always check this site out to see if there's a band or something that you like, and maybe they'll have a song you like. It's pretty good for getting a good number of songs.
