Axel gasped, startled, when he saw Shigiku about to fall, and using his free arm, grabbed her by the waist before she went to the floor, bending a little. The man who gave him the corn dog let out a yelp, going out of his stand, and immediately asking if she was alright. Axel just nodded his head rapidly, waving him off as he gave him back the corn dog, and positioned Shigiku so he could carry her bridal style. Looking at the guy as he straightened, he asked, his voice raspy, yet now shaky. "I'll pay for the corn dog and fruit punch-"

"No, no, no, it's fine, is only 4 dollars. I'll just throw what you had away, and if you come back, then you can order, alright?" the man offered, eyeing the girl worriedly.

He nodded as he gave a thanks, and quickly began to walk off, trying to find some place to sit and see what was wrong. When Axel had taken a few more steps, he found a bench, and plomped down on it right away, cradling Shigiku in his arms and getting her comfortable in his lap as his hand pulled back strands of silver hair behind her ear that got in her face. Shaking her a little, his mind contemplating if this was another memory reaction, he eyed her fretfully. "Pumpkin...hey, Pumpkin...wake up...Shigiku?"

If she didn't open her eyes, he had to take her to Naminé.

 

Shigiku made a small noise, but did not wake up.

Namine searched through her bag.

 

"Shigiku...?" Axel tried again, placing a hand on her cheek softly. Finding her eyes shut, he sighed, and with his arm, hoisted her head into his shoulder as he carried her normally, the other arm under her thighs as if she was a baby. Standing up cautiously, one hand in her back, he turned a right to head to the infirmary, hoping the blonde girl was still there. And he was looking so forward to spending time with Shigiku tonight, but it wasn't like she could enjoy it passed out.

Oh well...

 

Shigiku made a small noise and a tear fell down her cheek, but she did not wake up.

Namine found a book in her bag and walked over to a chair. She sat down and began to read it, hoping to find a way to help Shigiku.

 

OOC: I always did wonder, how do you make the words in your sig stream like that?

Axel was unaware of the drop of water that came from Shigiku's eye as he had her face on his shoulder, and quickly tried his best to reach the infirmary as soon as possible, which was why it didn't take that long to reach it, and the restaurant were close to it as well, which helped. Peeking in through the doorway, he stepped in quietly, not spotting the female he was looking for anywhere. Not wanting to disturb Angel (and come back with no food), he stealthily made his way out again.

Great. Now he had to walk to where her room is. Massaging Shigiku's back as a sign of comfort and affection, he headed now for Naminé's quarters faster than before.

Namine had fallen asleep reading the book.

Axel was out of breath by the time he made it to Naminé's door, as he started to jog down the ship for the freaking place, and Shigiku's weight added extra work out. Breathing heavily as he tried to even his lungs, he took the hand he had on her back, and went to knock at the door roughly, his voice not yet healed, but he tried his best. "Naminé!"

 

Namine jumped a little as she awoke and heard a panicked voice at the door. She quickly ran over and opened the door. "What's wrong...?" she asked and then saw that Shigiku was passed out. "What happened? Did she fall asleep?" she asked.

OOC- no problem ^^ took me a bit to find that out as well... lol...
yeah... not sure what it is... but I'll try to stay on as long as possible ^^

 

"No, she passed out again," Axel answered her, going inside without her permission, he had a good reason to anyway. Placing her gently on the bed, he brushed a couple more locks of hair out of her cheeks, his hands supporting him on the mattress as he gazed at the six year old. Aligning his spine again, he glanced at Naminé. "Why did she suddenly faint? Is it some kind of after effect...?"

 

Namine didn't mind that he had entered her room without permission. She was more focused on Shigiku. "I'm not sure..." Namine said and gently placed her hand on the small girl's forehead, closing her eyes. She suddenly gasped and jerked her hand away, putting her hands to her own head, giving a small yelp of pain. What in the world was that?! she thought.

 

Axel almost jumped when he heard the sudden yell, and his eyes shifted from Shigiku to Naminé abruptly, setting his sight on the blonde in alert. Something squeezed in his stomach, though it was very faint, and perhaps not even really there, but it made him crease his eyebrows, concerned. "What happened? What's wrong?"

 

Namine opened her eyes and set her gaze upon the small girl. "I'm not sure..." Namine said. "A huge shot of pain just shot through my head... and it seemed to come from her..." Namine said. "I don't know what's going on with her..."

 

Axel didn't know what to make of this news, or what could be wrong with Shigiku, but he somehow wished he could help and figure it out, yet he wasn't the one with the memory power. Finding it hard to swallow, he sat down on the bed next to the girl, running his hand through her hair, his eyes boring into her as if that will wake her up. He shook her a little as his hand went to her shoulder, wanting her to open her eyes now. Quietly, he asked, "Does that mean she's in pain? Or...whatever she's dreaming is painful?"

He said this without sparing a look at Naminé, trying again to shake the small female, concentrating for some reason. Shigiku...wake up...Axel-sama is worried, please...

 

"It might be..." Namine said. "I'm not positive as of right now... but I think that's it..." she said and sighed, searching her mind for a way to help.

Shigiku made a small noise of pain.

Namine jumped a little as Shigiku made a noise. I have to help her somehow... she thought.

 

"What can you do?" Axel asked her, finally gazing at her, puzzled. The only one who can help her at the moment was Naminé, he was uselss in the state of mind, or are they going to let her be in pain until she wakes up? "Can't you think of anything? Can I do anything?"

 

Namine thought for a moment and then suddenly got an idea. "Maybe I can somehow wake her up or snap her out of it... I just need to give her head a little... jolt..." she said to Axel and walked over to Shigiku. She placed her fingertips on Shigiku's head and closed her eyes, concentrating.

After a few moments, Shigiku made another small sound and her eyes opened slightly.

Namine took her hands away from Shigiku's head and sighed in relief.

 

Axel had a appeased smile as Naminé backed away, and saw Shigiku begin to open her eyes. He let out a breath of the anxiousness he had been having, and placed the palm of his hand on her head. He didn't understand, he hated children, or at least found irritation in them, but he couldn't explain...this little girl had gotten close to him somehow, he even had the natural sense of being responsible for her. Then again, she wasn't as bad as most, and was more calm. Axel peered at Shigiku playfully. "Heeelloooo. You feeling okay, Shi?"

He wondered if her memory was lost again, or if she had forgotten something.

 

Shigiku blinked sleepily and looked up at Axel. "What happened?" she asked and sat up. "My head hurts..."

Namine looked at Shigiku and smiled. "She'll be fine..." she said. But... what did happen? That was really unusual...
