~~*Organzation XIII goes to court*~~

OOC: Guys, I had a tremendously busy day today so apologize. Let me try to catch up here. If the rpg moves too fast it will be hard for me to keep up since I do go to college and work and currently my best friend's parents had a flood in their basement so I've been helping with that. Sorry, guys. Please bear with me.

Also, as far as Namine goes, I can see her not liking Marluxia or Larxene at all. Considering the fact that Larxene and Marluxia also betrayed the Org, I'd think the whole Org would not like them. Namine was held a prisoner by them and mistreated. I'd say the reaction is not OOC at all.

And lastly...I have this crazy desire to bring in Birdman as an alternate prosecutor. does anyone object?

Sora had entered the court room somewhat nervous of the great trial about to take place. He had never been to such a grand function with so many influential people before and this scenario was so enormous to him. Seeing the Org back to life was another shock, but powers had deemed it a necessity to put things to rest. He had not liked the idea, fearing they might yet again try something catastrophic but at the same time, he was hoping perhaps there would be a change, because Sora is just like that. After all, some greater power had brought them back for the purpose of justice. He had just sat down and the proceedings began. He may have looked like he zoned out but really he was just kind of in shock absorbing the whole scene.

Hearing the charges of weapons were going to be dropped, he just shook his head. It should not have been in his mind because anything could be used as a weapon and they had done many things with them, whether natural parts of them or not. It seemed ridiculous but it was too late to speak against the charge being dropped ahead of time before the trial had even begun to have people really testify. This normally did not happen as far as he knew. At any rate, his brain ticking away at this did not prepare him for the sudden jolt that came his way. The lightning struck the 15 year old and though his impossible hair did not stand up more because how could it...he bolted up and then fell out of his chair as smoke would rise up from his clothes and he laid staring at the ceiling. "...ow"...was all he could mutter after for a brief stint. After a moment of shock he stood back up and dusted himself off and then made his way to the stand nervously. "Um...thanks?" His mental thoughts were now 'whose side is this guy on?' but he chuckled a little to show he was alright.

Riku had wandered in, calmer than Sora which was relaxing to his best friend, but in his mind he had his own thoughts racing. How the Org was brought back was beyond him. He chose to not focus on it. At last perhaps some things could be answered that had bothered him for some time. Looking over at Sora as he was zapped, he knew Sora could take it, but at the same time frowned at Pikachu. He then glanced after at the judge and pondered saying something. He gestured to Pikachu and whispered since he was not so able to speak freely to the judge directly at the time. "Sir, the weapons charges should not have been dropped prior to the case even beginning. There is no reason it should be off considering we all have a responsibility whether we use a fist, a book, a spoon or whatever against a person. These people used weapons, and so did we, but they are the ones on trial here. It is a redundant reason that it is being dropped. Also, Sora may not account Castle Oblivion, but I do and I conversed with Namine, DiZ and King Mickey. I am rather fully aware of what transpired there."

]Repliku meandered into the court room and took a seat quietly, looking about and noticing Vexen, Marluxia and Larxene. He frowned a bit. For all he cared about the three who had ruined his life, they could die in a fire. If there were any people he truly possibly hated, it would be them. He also had no trust for Axel either. His gaze went to Riku and he frowned a bit. Somehow, Repliku had been brought back and received this summons that he -had- to be here. What for? He was not so familiar with others of the Org at all who had not been at the Castle Oblivion but knew of their affiliation easily enough by the coats they wore. If justice was to be served, he hoped this would be over quickly. He had a lot of painful memories he wished he could wash away. His eyes went to Sora as he was zapped by electricity and then frowned deeply. Sora didn't deserve that even as an example. Maybe the lawyer here was no different than the Org, tossing around powers as they pleased. Repliku, not at all familiar with court settings or even what was going on looked at the judge. "I think you are wrong to toss out the fact that they use weapons. We all have decisions to make and I know I made bad ones, but it's not fair that they are not being charged with that. The Org -are- weapons and they used themselves poorly. At least the ones I am familiar with. Also, I can testify against Larxene. I remember -everything-."

 

The judge looked on in curiosity.

"Is the witness going to testify or not?" he asked, concerned.

 

OOC: Alright, fixed the color for you.

 

OoC: Repliku, you introduced all the characters, but you need to introduce your character too!

The Pikachu jumped up happily as the spikey-haired boy rose alive.

"Trainer Erkz, I call witness Sora to the stand, -Again."

Then directed at Sora, Pika_power quickly apologised, and then cut to the chase.

"Sora, when you fought Larxane the human Purugly, did she draw weapons?"

Pika_power turned back to the judge.

"If so, then she has possession of dangerous weapons only used to harm. It is irrelivent that it is made from their energy, as she chooses to use her energy to make that weapon. As for my tail, in the wild I am an animal, so I have no laws. In a pokeball I am bound by the rules and honour of the fight, much like fencing. Both participants agree to the fight before I channel energy into my tail, making it a weapon."

The yellow fluff ball returns to his seat, then starts glaring at Axel and the skittles.

 

Sora takes the stand and sits down, looking out at all of the people. oO(wow, there are so many people out there...this is making me nervous and at the same time...it's kind of cool)Oo

He looks out at Pikachu after waving to the judge and then speaks. "...I um..don't remember. I wish somehow I could recall all that happened at Castle Oblivion but I had to make a choice apparently to remember there and forget my past or to remember the past and forget there. If there was a way someone could jog my memory I'd appreciate it."

Harvey Birdman enters the court and dashes over with his leather brown briefcase, opening it up once he gets there on the prosecution side. "Sorry I'm late. I was caught up in traffic." He fixes his tie and takes out some of the papers, setting them before him.

OOC: it's kind of hard to play myself and also a lawyer me because of my nick. =:) Next best choice. Also, one more thing. Since the Organization did come back for this trial, would it be impossible to say give Sora his memories back as another little miracle? Also, if it's not too much to ask, Roxas's memories would be nice too. ^_^

 

Pika_power sighs and turns to Namine, asking "is there any way to briefly give him back his memories, considering that he is in court and is a vital witness? Would an electric shock help?"
So saying, Pikachu's cheeks started crackling. Then he remembered the last time he shocked Sora.
"On second thoughts, Namine, if you can give Sora back his memories in a time frame under a year, please do so. Would it be possible to somehow shine a flashlight into his heart, so he can see into the dark side of his heart where the forgotten memories lie? If not, I call Namine to the stand to answer the questions given to Sora."

Pika_power glances around and then turns to the judge. "Excuse me, judge, but I think this trial may be unfair. They can reserect thier dead, but we cannot have a simple memory."

Pika_power then whips out a notebook and puts down under the 'questions to ask Goofy' section 'Why cannot Sora have a memory while the org can have 12 people come back to life?'

 

OOC: Sorry Repliku. I forgot about the whole real life bit. I was just curious if you knew that we had already started or not.

Naminé sighed. She was hoping to avoid using her powers again for the sole purpose of this trial. "I'm not sure if I can do that," she said apologetically. "Either he can have the memories of Castle Oblivion or he can have his current memories. He can't have both." She looked crestfallen. "Sorry, but if I were to rework his Chain of Memories to remember what happened in the Castle, it'd probably take me another year to change it back to his regular memories."

Kairi looked shocked. "You mean he's going to forget about me again if you go through with this?" There was a pang of sorrow in her heart.

Naminé nodded. "Unless there's another way or some safeguard that could be implanted to prevent his heart from being screwed up, I don't think I can give him back his memories using my powers." She glanced at Sora. "I know you don't remember, but right before you went to sleep, I told you that the loose links will sink into the darkness in your heart. You won't be able to just reach in and pick the one you want. The only one who can help you remember..." Naminé smiled. "...is you."

Kairi didn't know whether to feel slightly jealous or not. On one hand, there was this girl that seemed to have as much intimacy with Sora as herself. But then she quickly remembered that this girl WAS herself. Albeit another side of her. She felt slightly annoyed at the fact that she was being forced to play the helpless girl that couldn't assist in any way again.

Naminé noticed the worry in Kairi's eyes and gave her a quick hug. "Don't worry, Kairi. You'll have your chance to shine."

Kairi giggled slightly at Naminé's attempt to cheer her up.

Naminé glanced at the prosecution and reluctantly said "I'm sorry, but unless you want to spend another year waiting for Sora to regain all the memories he had after Castle Oblivion, I'm afraid that he has to remember on his own."

"What about Roxas?" Kairi asked suddenly. "Isn't there a way for him to act as the safeguard for his memories?"

Naminé shook her head. "I'm not sure how HIS memories would be affected, let alone everyone here in this courtroom. Remember, if Sora remembers what happened in Castle Oblivion and he loses all his current memories, that means everyone here will lose their memories of him too." She gave Kairi a stern glare. "And I know you of all people don't want that."

Kairi cringed at the thought of losing her memory of her boyfriend again. "So you'd rather take the stand?"

"If there are no other witnesses and I can't use my powers..." Naminé sighed. "I guess I really have no choice in the matter, do I?"

 

Riku shook his head for a moment, gathering his thoughts. "Maybe if Namine says some things and Sora focuses, he will remember. Namine though I suppose should know his memories of his time at the Castle Oblivion as she is saying so perhaps she's right." Riku wasn't too keen on the idea of Sora losing his memories and everything going foggy for all people again. It had been a difficult year last time and there was no way they could afford to take his memories now. "Sora's memories of events with the other members of the Organization seem to be more important any way if he cannot recall things through focusing. We have Namine, Repliku, Axel, the other Org members present and myself and King Mickey that all recall things. They won't be Sora's recounts, except for what Namine says, but I think they'd work if there's no alternative."

Sora listened to Namine and that small image of her saying that hit him. From where, he wasn't sure. He looked over at Kairi and saw she was upset. He then looked at the Judge. "Your honor, if it would not be too much of a hassle, I would like to have Namine speak first and maybe I can think about it really really hard and remember things to speak. Since this is about Larxene right now, I really can't say much if I don't remember and it would be bad for me to lose my memory again. It had a lot of weird effects last time."

 

The pokemon was not happy, but he knew Sora needed his current memories, not year old ones. Finally he stood up and announced "Okay, Namine will do. I would have liked Sora, but I suppose it cannot be helped. Namine was watching Sora all the time through her notepad, right? So she ought to know everything that happened to him."
Pika_power's confident air dropped briefly as he turned to Namine and half pleadingly asked "right?"

Pikachu jumped onto the desk again, then started questioning Namine while she was still in the witness seats.

"Naimine, over the course of the time Sora was at castle Oblivion, he met Larxane two times. Is this statement true? Can you please tell us what happened the first and second time Sora met Larxane, up to the point where they drew their weapons."

The pokemon stayed standing, and would have looked very important, if he were not a foot high. His eyes still wandered to Axel now and again, wanting Skittles.

OoC: Riku was not there at the Larxane fight. Repliku could be called apon, but he was half dead at the time of the second, so that could taint his evidence.

 

The judge leaned on his hand, propping himself up with his elbow, eyeing the antics of the prosecution. For a confuddled mess of a trial, it was quite interesting to note that there was someone who could manipulate memories in their midst. He'd have to make note of that for later.

He coughed and awaited the girl's testimony.

 

The First Meeting

• The first time they met, Larxene taunted Sora.
• She rushed at him and smacked him around.
• This is when I changed his lucky charm.
• She taunted him again and threatened to destroy it.
• Sora knocked the charm out of her hand.
• And that's when they readied their weapons and began to face off.

*End of testimony*

Naminé smiled shyly. "You asked for the events up to the point of the first battle, right?"

OOC: Remember that in Ace Attorney format, in the Cross-Examination stage, each statement will need to be pressed for more information. That's why it seems vague. If anything needs to be added to the testimony, the defense must be the one to ask to add anything to the statements.

Also, Pika_Power, the question was when they first drew their weapons. That means you only asked about the events up to the first battle.

 

The judge turned to face the defense as he began to twiddle his thumbs.

"Please, proceed with your cross-examination of the witness."

 

[color="dark orange"]Pika_power thanks Namine, but continues asking a question.

"Namine, what type of weapon did Larxane use? Would you classify it as a weapon?"

Pika_power leans back and looked at Harvey.

"by any chance do you have yellow skittles?"[/color]

 

OOC: Erkz, am I allowed to answer that? Or do I have to wait until the Cross-Examination starts first?

 

OOC - I would think so, even though the prosecutor's being a bit hasty.

 

OOC: Okay, but I don't think this counts as Witness Testimony, though. You decide if it does or not.

IC:

Namine thought for a bit. "I believe they were small knives. Kunai, right? As if they were weapons or not..." She glanced over at Larxene nervously. "I'd say they would count as weapons, yes."

 

Larxene starts to get really mad, "WTF your going to beleve her?! The one who can minipulate minds?! I object!"
Namine starts to freak out and Larxene just keeps yelling until the gard comes over and tazers her to shut up.

 

Character's are taken,read the rules,and never do this again.

 

Sora frowned and took a seat to watch as Namine now replaced him on the stand. "Even if I can't remember, something tells me I won't like what I hear", he whispered to Kairi and Riku. He then leaned back in his seat and ran a hand through his hair, listening to the words.

"This is not going well already. Not that I'm sure what we are exactly doing any way." Someone had a mean sense of humor bringing the Org back to be tried. Ah well, it was kind of fun perhaps. Answers though were all Riku really wanted. He knew some, but what he knew was not enough to validate what the Org had done in his eyes. He didn't hate them, well...maybe none aside from Saix who had been a pita and a manipulator. Then of course there was the Castle Oblivion crap. He would try though to be as non-biased as he could. "You probably aren't going to like what you hear. You're right."

Harvey pulls out a bag of skittles for the Pikachu attorney. "I never leave my office without Skittles. A rainbow of flavor in every bag." He looked at Namine after passing Pikachu the Skittles. "Namine, can you describe for us the first time Sora encountered Larxene; the events that transpired in some detail? I believe you have an interesting take on it, seeing as you watched it from a bird's eye view."
