Well, mine has worked fine so far, but unless someone gives me actual stats on how good each of those companies' SSD are, I'm just going to listen to what I was told.

Just grab an M.2 bracket and an M.2 drive, whack it in a PCI-E slot and away you go

Not gonna bother taking pictures unless people ask for 'em, but a while ago I got:
    • Samsung SSD 850 EVO (120 GB)
And then today for whatever reason, my brother insisted on buying me:
    • Corsair Hydro Series Cooling H75 Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

You're running an FX-6300, right? (Too lazy to scroll back and check.) AMD's stock coolers are not great, and if you're overclocking you'll definitely want to replace it. The Hydro is the most popular recommendation I've seen just because (iirc) it's like $30 and will help you to not kill your CPU.

Personally I would have gone with the 100 or 110

    FX-6100.

Hydro is just the name of a series of liquid coolers from Corsair, which my H75 is part of. What you may be thinking of is this thing.

Wasn't my money, so I'm not complaining.

Oh my bad, I didn't realize you were liquid cooling. Did you build yourself? I know it's quite safe if you do it right but water cooling always makes me nervous.

The Corsair lines are AIO's. It's a presealed pump, waterblock and radiator.

Went to buy motherboard. $40 short. Gotta wait until next week. Might kill myself.

My brother and I built the PC I'm using (since we originally shared it until I got a laptop and he built his own system last year.)

    As Nate puts it

We basically just switched one of the old fans I had out for the radiator, put on the braces (think that's the right word) that secures the system atop the CPU (after wiping the original thermal paste and using the pre-applied amount,) and plugged it into the power. Super easy and safe.

Which mobo? I considered upgrading mine, but for now I don't really see much benefit for my system.

    Asus X99-Deluxe

Basically, I'm being a huge ****** and doing a RWBY themed build. White motherboard, Red RAM, Black fittings and Yellow coolant. Probably do some decals on the front on the case, and a few small mods, mainly for the watercooling side of it.
While the 900D is an amazing case for watercooing, I feel like the SMA8 would have been a better choice for me, had I known it existed.

Update: Bit the bullet and got the X99-Pro instead of the Deluxe. It begins.

There's a whole tonne of watercooling stuff that I couldn't be bothered dealing with, and it's still a huge W.I.P, but this is it so far

That's some lovely cable management you've done. Are you overclocking at all? With a liquid cooler it shouldn't be a heat issue and you can probably push yr CPU a bit further.

Holy shit your specs are godly. Someday I want to go with an Intel CPU and board. Got any benchmarks or recorded gameplay?

    And it's RWBY.

Nope, I prefer not to overclock personally, though you do have a point about doing it with my CPU a little. And my brother helped with the cable management and installing the liquid cooling.
