Persona: Mask of Innocence

Arisa, Suki, and Seth took into the sky. Suki saw tears run down her sister's face and sighed. After awhile, Arisa saw the lab. "There it is!" Slowly Arisa, Suki, and Seth flew onto the lab ground and quietly entered til Fuuka tripped one of the alarms.

"Sorry....." She said.

 

Ovan sighed and said "Great, now what?"

 

"Seems like your friends have arrived. The guards will keep them busy while I finish with you."

"What do you want with me, old man?"

"I'm going to finish the experiment. You see, Project Hellstrider was split into two parts, the first was performed before you were born. Part two is to force the persona Lucifer into your mind. I had to wait until you were of age, so that the essence of Lucifer wouldn't be rejected."

"You're not gonna get away with this!"

"Watch me."

 

Minato heard the alarms and looked at Fuuka. "No need to be, we would of tripped an alarm before long." He said to her and looked around.

"Shinji isn't ready yet, I'll have to take his place for now until he emerges victorious." Minato looked at everyone. "It's faint but I sense the Persona Lucifier within the lab.

The guard were rushing in and Minato turned his head towards them. "This isn't good."

Shinji and his dark half still exchanged punches and kicks when it was clear Shinji was in fact getting tired out.

"Tired already are we...? Well that makes it all the more easier to kill you! His dark ahlf laughed a way it would make you wonder if he was a madman and the fight continued.

 

Hattori struggled to break his bonds.

"It's no use, son. The experiment will go through as planned." His father said as he wired Hattori up to a strange machine.

"What's that for?"

"This machine will transfer Lucifer to your mind, forcing out whatever persona you already have."

"What makes you think you could ever harness his power? Best case scenario for you is once the process is complete, I end up tearing you limb from limb."

"I've taken precautions to make sure that dosen't happen. Once we're finished, I will control your mind, and you will fulfill the purpose you were created for."

 

Arisa grabbed Aigis' gun and shot at the guard. She tried to reach Hattori with her persona. 'Hattori, Hattori, can you hear me?!!!'

 

'Yeah, I can hear you. You've got to hurry.'

 

'We're coming! Hold on!' Arisa noticed a young girl with wings that ran off, she ran after her, with her sister and everyone following her.

 

Suddenly, Hattori began screaming in pain.

"This isn't good! Both Hattori and Lucifer are crying out in pain. Lucifer is being forced into Hattori's mind!"

 

Arisa and the group followed the girl and the scream. The girl ran into a room where the scream was coming from, Aigis busted the door open and Arisa punched Hattori's dad in the face.

 

Hattori's dad stumbled back and hit the wall. He laughed as he slumped to the ground.

"You're too late. The process is already complete."

Hattori broke through his bonds.

"Now kill them, Hattori. Obey your master!"

Hattori grabbed his father by the neck.

"What are you doing?! How dare you disobey me!"

"No one controls me." Hattori said as his wings glowed with a soft white light. Ares glowed brightly and began to change.

"What's going on?! The experiment wasn't supposed to go like this!"

 

Arisa felt different as Ryoji lent her some of his powers as Nyx. A mask appeared her face. She spoke in a different voice, 'Hattori, let him go so he can be judged for his evil deeds.'

 

Hattori used a spell to bind his father. The light surrounding Ares faded, revealing a man with black wings and long black hair, wielding a glowing blue sword.

"Who are you?"

"I am Azriel, one of the fallen, and avatar of Strength. I was created from the fusion of Lucifer and Ares. I am now your sword. Use me as you see fit."

"So, the experiment failed. It seems I have no choice..."

Hattori's father tried to bite his tongue off. Hattori quickly gripped his jaw and used a sleep spell on him.

"You won't escape from your crimes that easily, father."

 

'The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed,' Arisa said as three of the cards appeared and three persona under the cards appaered. Suki noticed the three, it was Orphues of the Fool, Satan of the Devil, and Messiah of Judgement. "These cards shows each of your true self."

 

"What do they mean though?"

 

Minato bent down at Hattori's father who remained asleep. "A even more twisted version of Ikutsuki... He said aloud and stood up. "We better hand him over to the police, even if they won't understand.

Shinji was gettign even mroe tired out as he noticed Dark SHinji just suddenly abandon his gloves and in his hands was a dark purple sword, a Katana to be exact.

"What on-?" He didn't have time to speak as he felt teh blade pierece through his stomach and blood soaked his clothes. "This is my power, to change my weapon into any form I choose fit, now die!

Shinji could feel his strength leave his body as he started to close his eyes and he saw his whole life flash before his eyes saw Yukari. "Didn't you promise me you wouldn't leave me like Minato-kun?"

Shinji's eyes opened as Dark SHinji was pulling out the sword and Shinji grasped the blade with his gloves.

"Impossible, you shoudl have no strength left after the beating I gave you!" An orange flame burst from Shinji's gloves and Dark Shinji was forced to let go of the sword and move back as Shinji pulled the swor dof him and blood came out of hsi stomach as he twirled teh sword in hand before holding in his right hand.

"I still...have...someone...waiting...for...me...so..I'll...get...pass...YOU!" SHinji used a burst fo orange flame to shoot hismelf towards dark Shinji and stabbed him in the stomach as his dark half was shocked.

"Heh...you did good for my weaker half...very well....my power shall be yours to use as you see fit but don't forget...I am you and you are me so...we'll meet again!" SHinji's eyes widened as he felt his mind returned to Minato's.

 

"I guess they mean he was a fool with his experiments, a devil for process in Project Nyx, and and he will be judged for those." Suki said. "What are we going to do with your dad?"

 

Hattori opened a nearby filing cabinet and found all the research files.

"They'll understand, all right. With this evidence, they'll lock my father up for the rest of his days."

 

Minato felt Shinji's presence. "Shinji's returned from his fight, but he is very exhausted, so I'll be in control for a while longer until he's regained his strength. Minato said to them and picke dup a sheet of paper off the floor and read it aloud.

"Today, I have made my unborn son become the newest sample to my experiments as I plan on continuing Project Nyx with his aid, he will a fine specimen indeed as the freaks still persist in defying me, but I shall crush whatever hopes they have because they are indeed monsters in human form...when I am bored with them, I shall toss them away to die at the hands of socitey! Minato was a bit shocked and spoke.

"Figures a mad scientist would always write a journal."
