Orphan slithered his way into Zain's dreams. You're no help around here. I'll bet Yuki doesn't really want you around here. Zain's dream self brushed him off, "I'll bet she does. Yuki likes my cooking. If she didn't want me around, do you think she'd still offer her home to me?" Orphan shrugged his snake self and flicked him with his tail.

 

"Wow, that looks great on you, Sakuya." Yuki said. She then walked out with her after paying for it.

 

"Well, I'll see you later. Don't want keep you from your new sibling! I'll pick you up for the party!" Sakuya left to her house.

 

Yuki whistled a tune as she walked home.

"I'm home, Zain!" She said as she walked in the door.

 

Zain jerked awake and walked sleepily down the stairs holding his guitar, "Hey, where'd you girls go off to?"

 

"We went shopping for clothes. Don't tell me you slept the whole time I was gone."

 

He ruffled his purple hair, "Nah, I went out for a while." Tilting his head he noticed the bag, "This is probably going to be a stupid question for a girl but, clothes for what?"

 

"For one of my classmate's birthday party." Yuki said as she set the bag down.

 

He lifted a purple eyebrow, "Yeah? Alright, cool." Zain sighed and lifted his guitar, "Training was boring. Fighting, music and food, what a variety of activities." He was rambling. Tugging on his earing he set his guitar on the couch, "Get anything good?"

 

Yuki went to her room and changed into what she had bought. She then came back downstairs.

"How does it look?"

 

Zain's jaw dropped but he quickly composed himself, "You look...absolutely lovely Yuki. May I ask what lucky classmate gets to be honored with your beauty?"

 

"His name's Toya. He's in an arranged marriage with Sakuya."

 

Zain closed his eyes, recalling the young man in their class, "Ah yes, the source of Sakuya's constant shouting. Hm, a few of the orphans before me where taken in and pushed into arranged marriages. It's too bad, being told who you're going to marry." He patted his pockets, "Too bad I don't have a camera on me. Y'know Yuki, I think it's better to marry for love."

 

"Yeah, I know. I keep telling Sakuya and Toya to at least hang out for a while. They might have feelings for each other that they might not realize, and if they don't, then they might be able to convince their parents to call it off."

 

"Sounds like a good plan. Hmm, I don't think I've had the honor of actually speaking to Toya. I suppose I'll have to make more of an effort to pay attention in class." He gave a mental glare at Orphan and he hissed at him, You better not be blaming me for your lack of attention.

 

"You ought to come with me. It might help to break up the tedium."

 

Zain half smiled, "You sure? I'm not sure Toya likes me very much."

 

"There's only one way to find that out. Come on, it'll be fun."

 

"Alright, only because you asked oh so very nicely. But I'm not dressing up like you. I'm not so good with dressing nicely."

 

"That's fine. Now we just have to wait for Sakuya."
