Persona - Mask of Origins

Toya stared out his window and sighed. Sakuya just thought about what she had seen with Toya and Yuki.

 

Yuki woke up a while later and stretched. She went to go see Sakuya, since she knew Zain wasn't going anywhere.

 

Sakuya was working on the melody of a ballad, while singing a African song.

 

Yuki knocked on her door.

 

Sakuya answered the door. "Yuki-chan! Hey....... How is he?"

 

"Zain's asleep right now. I'm keeping him in a cage till morning."

 

"Good. Hey, I'm working on a song. Wanna hear it?"

 

"Sure, lay it on me."

 

Sakuya went to her piano, she began playing, the song had a soft and slow feel to it.

 

Yuki listened and wrote some lyrics.

 

Zain woke, feeling vengeful. He begged and pleaded with no one to let him out of the cage, that he'd changed back and was feeling better.

Orphan slowly slithered his long snake body down to Sakuya's room and curled up under the piano, listening to the music, "I can't sssstay around him when he'ssss like thissss. I advisssse you not to open the cage until morning. Though he ssssayssss he'ssss better, he'sss not. Lying...just one of the horrid trickssss he'll try thissss night and every other until we can change him back."

 

"I didn't plan on letting him out until morning anyway." Yuki said. "As much as I care for my brother, I feel that it's best that he stays in the cage at night."

 

Orphan sighed as best a snake could and moved closer to the warmth of Yuki's feet, Zain's shouts turned violent and could be heard over the piano, "Maybe you should play ssssomething dark to sssooth him."

 

Yuki moved Sakuya out of the way and played a somber tune on the piano. She didn't know many songs, but it was one of the few she could play well.

 

Orphan shifted restlessly but Zain's shreiks quieted down considerably.

 

Yuki continued to play. The song started to make her remember her dreams.

 

Orphan could feel her uneasy thoughts, "If it'sss too much for you, Zain can sssuffer. He'sss ussed to it."

 

"No, it's alright." She said, still playing the song.

 

Sakuya listened to her playing, holding the lyrics she wrote.

 

Yuki stopped playing after a while.
