Persona - Mask of Origins

Zain laughed and immediately regretted it. The sun was setting and he was feeling nausous.

 

"You ok back there, Zain? I'm not going to have to put you in the cage, am I?"

 

"I'll just wait and see what happens."

 

"Yeah, I guess so. We'll find out tomorrow."

 

"Yeah, we will."

Toya was receiving punishment from his parents about breaking off his engagement.

 

He grinned, letting go of his illusion. An unrational part of his brain asked why he should have to wear it. If people were frightened by him, then so be it. "Nope, I'm perfectly fine Yuki dear. Ah I wish I could be there, but you see, I have a date this evening, at midnight. I'll be seeing a lot less of you all if she turns out to be...delicious." he chuckled to himself at his joke and hopped down the stairs, fangs growing already as he smiled at Sakuya and Yuki.

 

"I'm worried that Zain is going to hurt someone tonight."

 

"I hope he will be alright."

 

"I'm gonna follow him. I don't want him getting into trouble."

 

"Be sneaky about it. You don't want him to know you're following him."

 

"Trust me, I'm good at sneaking around. Remember when we snuck into the school that one night?"

 

"How could I forget? That was the night we discovered our Persona power."

 

Zain walked down the middle of the street, grinning at everyone that passed. They al screamed at his fangs and probably red streaked eyes. "What a lovely night. It's beginning to look at lot like...dinner time."

 

Yuki nodded and followed Zain.

 

Sakuya looked out her window and sighed.

 

Yuki took great care to make sure that Zain couldn't detect her.

 

Zain met Cara by the lake again. She had a picinic basket with her. "Um, dinner by the lake at midnight, who would've pegged you for a romantic?"

He laughed and quickly eyed her neck, "Not me that's for sure." he looked at the basket with distaste, "Not really the type of dinner I was looking for."

Cara looked up at him and he laid an elegant hand on her neck.

 

Yuki looked on, ready to spring into action if he tried to hurt Cara.

 

Orphan glumly hissed at him in warning and he brushed it aside. "Wanna go for a swim?"

Cara squealed in delight and shed the outer layer of her clothes, "C'mon!" He glanced backwards and jumped in after her. The second they were far enough out, he tackled her underwater and violently sank his fangs into her neck.

 

Yuki was shocked and ran to help Cara. She dove in and grabbed Zain by the neck and flung him out of the water against a tree.
