Persona - Mask of Origins

Yuki followed Toya out, feeling concerned about him.

 

Toya walked out to a empty plain. He stood quietly for a while, as though waiting for someone to come.

 

Yuki walked up to Toya.

"You seem troubled by something, Toya."

 

"Maybe I am. Your strange dream, Sakuya's dream........ Igor believes that our destinies are intertwined by these dreams........."

 

"I'd think you're right, Toya."

 

"Please, stay back." Toya grabbed his katana, and slid his feet back a little.

 

"What are you doing, Toya?"

 

Toya was silent where a group of humanoid shadows appeared around them. "So, you finally appeared." He pulled his katana out.

 

Yuki drew her scythe.

"What's going on? Tell me, Toya."

 

"These shadows are different. Apparently, a lot of people want me dead, and these shadows respresent those feelings of hatred and jealousy. They're after me, go, Yuki!" Toya attacked them one by one.

 

"I'm not going anywhere." Yuki said as she attacked the shadows.

 

Toya continued to kill the shadows, wondering if this was the test Igor said he was to undertake.

 

Yuki fought with him.

 

Toya sighed as the last shadow was destroyed. "To think the creatures we fight are formed with such feelings......" He went digging around his neck and pulled a velvet key out.

 

"How many did we just kill?"

 

"Enough to keep the future generation from fighting them." Toya stared at the scenery. He had a solemn look on his face.

 

"I don't think that was nearly enough. There will be enough shadows to fight for generations to come."

 

Toya just stared at the horizon. He didn't tell Yuki or Sakuya, he had a horrible dream as well. He kept seeing a girl as the subject for many experiments, the person conducting the experiments looked like Toji.

 

"Come on, let's get inside before it gets too cold."

 

Toya nodded and followed her.
