Persona - Mask of Origins

Sakuya noticed Toya and looked away. Toya saw them and waved at Yuki, calmly taking a bite out of his food. Sakuya sighed and looked out the window.

 

Yuki waved back at Toya and smiled.

"I don't see why Toya upsets you so much. He seems like a nice guy to me."

 

"Please, our people put us together without our consent! If I'm gonna marry someone, let me do it myself!" Sakuya sighed and sipped her drink.

 

Zain felt slightly guilty for using a weapon against these boys but he'd had enough. They backed away slowly, except for the one Zain was gripping his fist. "C'mon, man, we didn't mean anything horrible by it. Just sayin...." Zain dropped his lance, angling his foot up to catch it and let the boy go, "I don't ever want to see your face outside of school again, ya hear?!" They nodded and he just knew everyone would be talking about this tomorrow. He climbed through his window to his room and settled in for sleep without dinner. Taking his punishment for fighting to heart...again.

 

Yuki sighed.

"From what I've seen from both of you, neither of you want this marriage to happen. I think if you spent some time together, you two might come to love each other. That's just my opinion though."

 

Yuichi already fed hismelf until he noticed his mobile phone ringing and he flipped it open, revealing a name and a number. "Well, speak of the angel." He said and answered it. "Hi mom." He said as a conversation started.

 

"Like I'm gonna spend time with that spoiled brat!" Sakuya said. Toya sighed and said, "I can hear you, you know, Sakuya-san. And I'd like it if you didn't refer me as a spoiled brat."

"That's what you are."

 

Yuki sighed.

"I'm gonna head home now. I'd rather not stick around and see the two of you bicker like angry lovers."

 

"See you at school tomorrow, Yuki-chan." Toya said, eating calmly. Sakuya stood up. "I'm going with you!"

 

Two of the boys Zain had fought stumbled into Yuki. They didn't apologize and instead went into a rant about Zain, "That guy tried to kill us. Yuki, you're in his class right? He's crazy isn't he?"

 

"What are you talking about? If Zain tried to do something like that, you guys must have provoked him. He seems pretty nice to me."

 

Sakuya looked at them, "I have to agree with Yuki-chan. Though I never spoke with the guy, he seems pretty cool."

 

They gaped at her, "Nice?! That guys a nut! C'mon Yuki, admit it. He's got purple eyes and purple hair. He's not even normal!" The other boy rubbed his hand, "He nearly broke my hand. All we wanted to do was talk to him."

 

"What's so strange about purple hair?" Yuki asked, running a hand through her silver hair. She then walked away, not wanting to talk to the boys anymore.

 

"So the guy has purple hair? Whatever. I just think you guys are paranoid." Sakuya told them, leaving with Yuki.

 

They sat in shock.

Zain woke again, he couldn't sleep. Grabbing his lance and guitar he headed out. Standing under a tree, ironically on the way to Yuki's house, he played a soft tune. He didn't know Yuki lived here, he just wanted to play somewhere where no one would find him.

 

Yuichi went to open his balcony as he heard voices of the boys talk about purple hair. "Does it matter if hair is in different colours?" He asked aloud, getting their attention. "I have red hair and yet I hear no complaints about it since it's natural so the same is for Zain." He voiced his opinion.

 

Yuki got home and was surprised to see Zain there.

"Hi, Zane. I didn't know you played the guitar."

 

Zain jumped, even his mistake sounded nice on his guitar. "Oh, Yuki, what are you doing here?"

 

"This is my house." Yuki said. "You want to come inside for a bit?"
