Persona - Mask of Origins

Yuki left and walked to the store. She hummed as she walked.

 

Daieko dragged himself away from his experiment and wandered around the store. His mind putting together what kind of weapons of mass destruction he could put together with the ingredients around him. "So much to do, so little tiime." he fretted the cure would take longer than he predicted to ferment.

 

Yuki sighed as she did her shopping. She couldn't shake the dream out of her mind.

 

Daieko stopped when he spotted Yuki. The girl was familiar to him. "Excuse me miss. Do I know you?"

 

"No, I don't believe you do."

 

Daieko tilted his head and shrugged, "Hm, seemed like I did. You look familiar to me. Do you have a brother?" Daieko's memory may have been hazy about the girl but he could've sworn Zain had mentioned a sister.

 

"Yeah, but how do you know about Zain?"

 

He grinned, "Ah-hah! I knew you seemed familiar. So you're Zain's sister. Daieko Deathchild, I think we met before." He couldn't recall their meeting but something about it made him wary.

 

"I remember you now, you're the creep that snuck into my room."

 

Daieko realized why he had reason to be wary and backed away from her, "Ah, you see...uh, that was a mistake. I needed to see Zain. What would you have done in my position. Put yourself in my shoes!" he cringed, expecting the girl to hit him.

 

"Forget it, that's all in the past." Yuki said before hearing some commotion at the front of the store. She went to look and saw that a robbery was taking place.

 

Daieko felt his heart slow and breathed out a sigh. He followed her to the front of the store, "Whoa, talk about bad timing to go shopping."

 

Yuki watched as the police arrived on the scene. The robbers grew desperate and decided to take a hostage when they saw Yuki. When they grabbed her, Yuki tried to struggle out of their grasp.

 

Toya was walking into the town and watched the scene. He hid as he tossed his Persona card into air and shot it, summoning Okami. Okami walked calmly toward the robbers and attacked them, freeing Yuki.

 

Yuki dusted herself off and sighed.

 

Daieko sighed and touched his chest, "Ah and here I was worried I'd actually have to step up and be the hero for once. Haha, I'm only good at doing buisness." he smiled and eagerly watched Yuki, "Are you alright?"

 

"I'm fine. I certainly wasn't expecting that to happen on a simple shopping trip."

 

"I guess excitement follows you and your brother wherever you go." Brushing back his hair, his fingers felt along his hairline and touched the black scales there. Though hidden from view, he always self-consiously touched them.

 

"Yeah, I guess." Yuki said as she paid for her groceries.

 

Daieko stood beside her and paid for the small things he'd bought. "Miss Yuki, your brother's condition...it will get worse. There's no guarentee that my cure will work on him. My situation is different. I caught my change in time, but Zain..." He closed his eyes and shook his head hard, "I'm afraid there may come a time when you must say goodbye."
