Pokemon: The National Journey

BIC: Mage sighed and went back to wrap the egg in cloth, then left, though the wild pokemon attacking her at camp was a new sight, Strawberry immediately stood in front of her trainer, slightly hissing to protect her.

while Miyoko is walking back to camp he comes accoss a

WILD ENCOUNTER

 

Akane was taken aback by his statement. "Wow," she said, "I think the same thing, most trainers I've talked to build teams using one type."
Her attention was drawn to Leon's Dratini again. Softly, she remarked to Leon, "I think it'd be a shame if a guy like you became a Dragon Tamer...I've heard some pretty nasty stories about them."
She stopped petting Flashfire, and then looked up to him. "Do you mind if I play with him while we wait?"

 

"Good job Static."Valerie said, petting Static behind the ears. "Pika..."Static happily took the petting.

 

OOC: Wild Plusle (Level 3, female) appeared!



And after this I'm putting in a new rule about encounters so we can progress the plot. 3 encounters per person per day, each encounter must be separated by 3 hours. This rule might change depending on the flow.

And to make it fair everyone who hasn't had two encounters is allowed two free encounters.

 

OCC: XD wow people wana fight wilds.

Blaze jumped infront of Terry and squeaked.Terry smirked."You got it Blaze!"He said pointing at the wild Furret.Blaze ran at Furret and tackled him powerfully but the Furret got back up and used 'Quick Attack' on Blaze.Blaze was on his stomach laying down almost passed out."Blaze!"Terry said as he tried to think what to do as he remembered that Dr.Oak had gave him a potion.Terry sprayed Blaze with the potion.Blaze got back up and was good as new.He tackled the Furret again making him faint.Terry and Blaze cheered in victory.

 

Leon remained silent for a moment. "I don't mind if you play with him", he replied as the Dratini seemed overjoyed and wormed it's way over to Akane. Leon looked at his PokeGear, seeing the routes ahead of them on the map.

OOC: ...Wha-? I don't think you had an encounter but that's not even a possible way to catch a Pokemon ._.

 

ooc: Hey, there are peaceful methods to everything C: If I don't need to fight, then I don't have to.

"a flying type...this will take a while" Seth said as he pointed at the Pidgy "peck" Seth said as the Pidgy got pecked by Nidoran's horn. The pidgey got hit and then used tackle on Nidoran. "leer" Seth commanded as Nidoran lowered pidgey's defence but then got hit by another tackle. "hit it with peck" Seth commanded as Nidoran followed his command and pecked Pidgey. Seth immediatly took out a pokeball and threw it at the pidgey. The pokeball moved around for a bit but then stoped. Seth walked over and picked the pokeball up and looked at it

 

OOC: If we where going by anime standards I'd be fine with that but since we're going by the games way of doing thing your gonna have to fight them to catch them.

"Awesome," Akane said as she laughed and pet the Dratini. "You're an energetic little thing, aren't you?"

Noticing her Houndour was glaring at her, she whispered to it, "Hey, go play with Leon." Flashfire happily charged at Leon's foot once more.

 

While distracted with his PokeGear Leon didn't notice the charging Houndour approaching his leg. Suddenly, when a bump to his leg was felt he looked away from his machine and to the ground where Flashfire was, constantly hitting his leg. "I'm glad that it doesn't know Headbutt", he thought.

BIC: Mage silently poked the fire, Strawberry set away from the fire, to which they slowly fell asleep.

 

Terry and Blaze were both proud of their first victory as they walked back to the camp site where their companions were.When they got there the two of them went to sleep quite quickly.

OCC:Um how do we level up?

 

OOC: Bugger, forgot to mention that. You level up by beating Pokemon obviously, but there's a part of each Pokemon's page on Bulbapedia that has EV Yield and an experience entry. I'm using that times the level of the enemy Pokemon as the exp your Pokemon gains. I'll try and get something in a formula on paper and each Pokemon in this RP will have the same amount of maximum EXP so I don't make things too complicated. I'll get you an answer tomorrow and then using that formula I'll add any defeated Pokemon's exp to yours to level it up. I had it worked out the other night but forgot to write it down xD

tl;dr version: I'll have a formula tomorrow and any exp you should get before it will be added once I have it written down so I don't forget it again xD

 

ok "growlithe use tackle on the plusle" 'Growl" growlithe used tackle on the wild plusle the wild plusle was weekend then the wild plusle used thundershock and hurt growlithe it was a critical hit "oh my gosh this is realy bad i better use a potion on growlithe" his health was fully healed back again the plusle used growl growlith steped back a bit "growlith come on you can do it i know you can" "Growl" said growlithe and tackled the minum again "alright here go's go pokeball" shakes once twice theird "YES!!!! i chought it my minum i will name it sparks welcome to my team sparks you put up quite a battle" Miyoko gets back to camp he comes back wonded in pain and with injeries he callapses with growlithe on his side.

 

OOC:We're in the Kanto region, right? Then why are we gettign encounters from Pokemon from Jhoto and Hoen?
Just curious.

 

OOC: I'm using the HG/SS Pokemon list for each Route. Route 1 (which everyone is on) is this http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Route_1 all I've done is prevent the need for different times of day or Hoenn/Sinnoh sound to make it easier and have more Pokemon to come across xD

 

Akane laughed when she saw Flashfire harass Leon, but she turned her attention back to the Dratini. "So...you ready to start on this journey?" she asked it. The Dratini squirmed around and made noises, then gave a little nod.
"Good, I am too. Your trainer seems like an interesting guy, too," she said, and the Dratini flopped it's tail (or what Akane assumed to be it's tail) on the ground.

"Hey Leon, it's getting late, should we just stay here for the night, then head out tomorrow?"
