Pokemon: The National Journey

Terry got more excited for the battle.His mind was set on winning."Lets go Blaze!Use tackle!"Terry exclaimed with a grin.Blaze squeaked in joy as he ran at the furret to tackle him.

 

Dean saw that there was a battle going on between a Furret named Barry and Blaze, a Cyndaquil.

"I wonder how this will go down." He said to himself as Charmander watched the battle intently.

 

((Were the trainers provided a set of Pokeballs at the start of their journey?))

 

OOC: Yes I'm pretty sure that Prof. Oak gave everybody a set of Pokeballs at the beginning. Also me, you, and Alex need to set up a time so we can catch up with everybody else.

IC: After a long day of traveling and trying to catch up with everybody, Etrian was very tired and so was his Eevee. Laying down, he looked at the stars and said to himself, "Wow, this is my first time being out of Ecruteak City, it's kinda scary leaving your city limits and not knowing anything about the world outside. But I'm sure I'll be okay since I'm not alone. I got my Eevee and a group of people that seem to be all right so I'm sure I'll be okay." After looking at the stars for a while, he saw a shooting star and made a wish that he would be safe and that he would have a great adventure with his new friends. After that, he slowly fell asleep.

 

OOC: Everyone was given 5 balls at the start, I think I put it on the list of stuff you start off with, I can't remember xD

"Go Val! Go Barry!" Jordan said cheering them on.

"Horsea!!!!" Queendra echoed Jordan, wishing them luck.

 

OOC: Yep.

 

Mage watched the battle, in a tree, trembling.

 

Natsu Sighed "Valerie I hope you don't lose, if you do I'm buying my own dinner" MaGnEmItE! roared Magnemite

 

"Defense Curl!"Valerie said. Barry curled into a ball as Blaze tackled it, giving it some protection. "Now, use Scratch!"Valerie said. Furret ran towards Blaze and tried to damage the cindaquil with Scratch.

 

The Shinx, Daemon, and Colt stood in a roughly triangular orientation in a small clearing within the grass. The latter two of the three stared at the former with a hopeful interest. “Alright Daemon,” said Colt, “are you ready to get this show on the road? The first Pokemon added to our roster will be this Shinx.” Daemon fluttered around joyously at this thought, chiming in with its traditional call of ‘Ghast! Ghast!’ Colt nodded, taking out his Pokedex, which activated immediately, responding with ease to the sight of the Shinx. The information came out by means of the electronic voice programmed into the device, relaying the Pokemon’s type, and its plausible attacks. “So we’re dealing with electricity,” Colt stated, looking down at the Shinx. He took a moment to collect himself, and, to an extent, build up the curiosity of the Pokemon. It seemed to work; it still stood there, staring at him, its yellow eyes widening as it inched cautiously closer.

“OK!” said Colt, making the little Shinx freeze for a moment. The look in its eyes now told Colt that it was prepared to turn tail. But he wasn’t so ready to allow such a thing to happen; not on the very first Pokemon. This was his statement. “Daemon!” he cried softly. “Use your Hyponosis to put it to sleep!” Daemon obediently commenced. Releasing a pulse of hypnotic waves. The effect was almost instantaneous. Shinx’s eyes began to droop slowly shut, and within a span of a few seconds, landed into a deep slumber. It was at peace, napping in the clearing, unconcerned with the fact that it was soon to be in the hands of a human. “I better not risk this one waking.” Brushing his coat aside, he reached down to his belt, removing an unoccupied Pokeball. “Let’s give you a nice home,” he told the slumbering Shinx just before releasing the ball in a baseball-like throw.

The ball hit right on its target, popping open as it struck the Shinx's body, sucking it into its inner sanctum. The center dot of the ball remained aglow for a short while as the ball as a whole rocked back and forth. But in the end, the Pokemon's struggle within the ball culminated in disappointment for the moment. it was captured, and sealed within the ball until Colt needed its aid in battle. The treainer approached the stagnant ball, eying it with a mild suspcion, in case the pokemon within burst out from ball at the last minute. But by the time he had knelt down and picked it up, it had shrunk back down to carrying size; it was over. He had caught a Pokemon for the first time. "Daemon. You and I are going to be a great someday.... Now. What should we name our new friend? How about..... Flux?"

'Ghastly! Ghastly!'

"Alright then. Flux it is. I hope they like it too."

 

OOC: Aright, back from college visiting.

IC:
"Nice catch on the Shinx back there," Akane said to Leon. "I should probably catch something soon...but once we get to areas with stronger Pokemon," she said, walking alongside him. She was proud of her Houndour for beating the Minun, and she had a feeling that Leon was proud of his Dratini.
Sighing, Akane said, "I hope Rayku's alright though, we haven't heard or seen him since we started, and we're almost on Route 2 now."

 

Blaze tryed to avoid the scratch but was grazed causing Blaze to roll against the ground.Blaze got up slowly and squeaked in anger."Don't worry Blaze, we got a few tricks up our sleeves.Now go!Use smoke screen!"Blaze opened his mouth as a black fog of smoke covered the field.

 

OOC:Aw you little cheat.XD
BIC: Barry looked around in the smoke screen, trying to find where Blaze was. "Don't panic Barry! If you can't see your oponent try to detect it with your other senses!"Valerie said

 

"Rayku might not catch up to us if we reach the forest after the next town", Leon said unmoved and looking ahead as they walked. "I caught a Pokemon here in case Dratini becomes to hurt to fight, the next town isn't too far though so we can go to a Pokemon Centre", Leon continued plotting his way ahead.

 

Terry grinned."We'll se about that.Blaze,use tackle!"Terry shouted.Blaze squeaked in agreeance.The flames on Blazes back grew bigger as he ran into at the Furret with an intense speed trying to tackle his opponent with all his strength.

 

Mage watched the battle with only her right eye open, stern in the face.

 

Barry tried to dodge but Blaze grazed its side at the tackle. "Use Foresight, Barry!"Valerie said.

OOC:.....anyone know how they do Foresight in the show?XD

 

Mage was trembling, she wanted the battle to stop, but she didn't do anything. Please... Please stop...
