We're starting tomorrow most likely. It's too late for me to start right now.
And if you read the first first post it tells you that we start in Pallet Town where Professor Oak has called everyone too.

Elm would still be in New Bark Town, the RP starts in Pallet Town and goes through Kanto then Johto (if we get far enough) and if we get through all that I might make it go further into Hoenn (which I know barely anything about) and Sinnoh.

 

So then, everyone starts in Pallet?

Yup, in travelling groups of 3/4 depending on how many people are here by the start. Looks like 3 a group so far I think.

 

will the groups be from the same twons or will you randomize it? and what about gyms?

 

I'll be randomising it and will either be the gym leaders myself or will let others be one's of their choosing as long as they don't take the role too far or overpower it. Besides, each group faces the gym leader like once (each person individually) anyway. I've got this planned out anyway, I'll take it one step at a time as they come so it doesn't become confusing xD

 

How will we be dealing with certain Pokemon abilities, such as fly, and surf? Will those still have to take up space as moves, or can we treat them as peripheries?

 

They'll take up spaces as moves, it's all the same Pokemon game stuff with having 4 moves, 6 Pokemon on hand and all the chances of finding certain Pokemon. The only thing different will be the hit ratios (as you'll just be hitting as you want anyway as long as you make it your Pokemon hits, enemy hits, you hit, etc) and not over powering your Pokemon so if you have a level 6 Rattata go up against a level 12 Onyx you won't win with tackle.
