And just a note, there is no leader for a group to start off with. You can eventually select a leader or end up taking that role within time.

Anyway, I should start now.

IC: As soon as Oak had talked to us all individually and as a whole we where sectioned into groups. I didn't know either of the one's I was teamed up with but I was sure that I'd know them soon enough. With my Dratini I received from the Dragon's Den back in my hometown of Blackthorn City I was sure I could do what Oak has asked of me and collect data for his research, especially now that he's mentioned that we can enter gym fights as well.
The Pokedex I received was the latest model, I don't think it's even out in stores yet. It has a huge but empty space for entries though.

As I watched the other trainers separate from a crowd into groups of threes and fours I soon followed suit and joined my group. Once introductions where out of the way I think we would be good enough to leave Pallet Town and start our journey.

Terry laid on the stairs of Dr.Oaks lab with his new Cyndiquil on his stomach.They were in a dead lock staring contest.Terry was confused.He poked his cyndiquils forehead.The cyndiquil coppied."I'm going to name you Blaze."The cyndiquil squeaked to this.

 

Akane looked down at her Houndour and knelt down to pat her head. "You ready to start our adventure, pup?" The Houndour gave a happy yip in response. "Alright then, let's go meet the rest of our team..."
She walked over to where the two boys in her group were standing with their Pokemon.

 

Valerie had gone a long way to get from her home in Vermilion to Pallet, and now that she was there she was very excited. She was checking her Pikachus data on her brand new pokedex. "Okay, aren't you a cutie? I'm glad I picked you. Now, whats a good name for you."Valerie looked at her pikachu. Pikachu just tilted its head at its new trainer, curious. From what the pokedex a Pickachus static ability could paralyze a foe on contact. "Static! Thats what I'll call you."Valerie said. "Pika!"Static clearly liked its nickname. Valerie went to meet the members of her group.

 

"so we are going to be in groups..well it can't that bad. Lets go find these partners of ours" the light blue haired boy named Seth said to his Nidoran that stood on his shoulder. His Nidoran nodded and Seth put his hands in his pockets and began to look for his partners

OOC: I changed my character's name to Seth (due to there being an elite four member named Drake)

 

Mage was nervously darting her eyes, holding onto her Chikorita tightly to the point it struggled in protest. "Okay, sorry Strawberry." It nodded to the name, and jumped out of her arms to the ground. Strawberry led Mage to her group, to wish she nervously kept her red locks in her face, not allowing anyone to see them. 'I don't like these people...'

 

In a state of what some may have considered complete unconcern, Colt leaned back against the outside wall of the lab. Each other person there that he glanced at became a subject of speculation though. How far they would get in their quest, where they might falter, and who might become best friends all found themselves as his topics. They all seemed so ready for the path that stood in front of them, like they were destined to walk it. And the truth remained that Colt felt the same way, even though he couldn’t admit excitement. He had already shown himself as being more of a laid back sort of guy, whose emotions weren’t apt to spark.

As his head wandered idly off to his left, his vision fell upon a partially transparent manifestation coming into being nearby. A perfectly round, black head with two mischievous looking eyes, and a mouth of fangs came into full physical form before him, and hovered in an arc around to the other side of his head, sticking out its tongue, and making faces. But it didn’t seem to hold any weight with him. He just gazed to his left, ignoring the Ghastly’s gestures. The Pokemon vanished briefly, reappearing staring its master in the eye. “Well, Daemon,” Colt said softly, “It looks like we’ll be working together on this one. Doesn’t it?” The Pokemon, frowning at its master’s seriousness, made a bobbing gesture mimicking a nodded ‘yes’.

 

Terry stood up with Blaze on his shoulder.Terry smiled to Blaze."You want to make some friends,Blaze?"Terry asked.Blaze squeaked to Terry in a joyus tone.Terry put his hands to his mouth making a megaphone like shape.Would anyone like to spar before we head out into the big and cruel world we must face?"Terry shouted into the crowd.

 

Valerie looked at Terry and Blaze, rolling her eyes. "No thanks."She noticed Mage and went up to her. "Um...I don't think you're in my group...but are you okay?"she asked, going over to mage and Strawberry. "Pika!"Static looked at Valerie.

 

Mage looked up to Terry, noticing Strawberry nervously fidgeting in sight of the Cyndiquil. Mage quietly spoke so low, you could almost not hear her. "What is your name?"
