but what if pokemon who didn't evolved reach to lvl 100 and their happiness is full, then they will have a 25% chance of a mega evolution.

I'm fairly sure they're not gonna do that. It's way too complicated as opposed to fully evolved Pokémon.

MegaKangaskhan was confirmed earlier today, and in a surprise move, the baby evolves rather than the parent, and they gain the ability to use their moves together, resulting in essentially attacking twice. This is due to their special Ability called Parental Bond. With this kind of new level of diversity, so many things have the potential to happen, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else can Mega Evolve.

Am I the only one that's kinda disappointed with the Mega Kangaskhan? The others had an awesome new look to them, but this is just the baby coming out of the pocket and fighting. Oh well, at least they have a cool ability, which i'm sure will cause it to become a huge sweeper

You may want to look again. The baby has mutated a lot. Darker and more armoured-looking skin, several ridges on the body that weren't there before, imo the baby looks a lot different to before.

I noticed that, but it still mainly looks the same as before, except with a little more armoring like a full grown one. I just am not impressed, not matter how much I look at it. And if they bring these evolutions into the show, I'll will be interested to see how they do it, especially with a baby kangaskhan coming out, since that so far as been like a taboo

Taboo? I'm not seeing it. Personally I'll agree a little; I'd have liked to see a little more change of both parent and child, but I'm not exactly disappointed. The fact that they're cool with making the changes different like that depending on the Pokémon encourages me to like it more actually. They aren't just looking at making everything bigger and more badass, but genuinely putting careful thought into them all.

Dark's example is still valid in proving that it's not taboo tht Baby Kangaskahn is coming out of the pouch.

That would be "good madam" to you.
As for what you said before, I assumed by "into the show" you meant into the anime. It's not really a taboo in the games, it's just that the baby isn't a Pokémon by itself. The Stadium games and its sequels have had the baby leave the pouch for certain animations on occasion though.

And whatever funny I was trying to keep has officially been dissipated. Congratulations, you have killed the funny.

But you know, I guess it kinda makes sense with a mega for kangaskhan...in a way. I doubt it has anything to do with it, but if there really are major stat changes with the Mega evolutions, than maybe it makes sense with Kangaskhan, because I was reading the pokedex entries through some of the games, and most of them say that "to protect its young, it will never run from a fight". It probably has nothing to do with it, but it would make sense in some sort of sense.

Mega is interesting. I'm just seeing a lot of Kangeskahn abuse in the next coming tournaments sadly. Favorite so far is Amphoras.

Is anyone here actually watching Pokemon Direct?
It's too early in the morning for me to wanna' watch it. If it were say, 3 hours later I might, though.
Well, no matter. I'm hyped regardless. I actually pre-ordered and put $26 on my copy of Y today. Got a sweet poster n' everything.

    THE HYPE IS REAL.

LOTS OF POKEMON NEWS FOR Y'ALL

After receiving your Kalos region starter, you get to choose an additional Pokemon from the Kanto Starter trio!

Mega Evolutions of Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur are revealed! Watch the video here.

Pokemon Bank, a downloadable app for the 3DS, will be made avaliable to upload your Pokemon to and from this cloud service and your X/Y games. Additionally, another app, Pokemon Transporter, will allow you to transfer your Pokemon from B/W/B2/W2 into the Box, and then into X/Y. This is a paid service with an annual fee. Have not been able to find a price yet, but people have been saying it might be $5 per year.

Coming to the west, there will be two new 3DS XL models, featuring Xerneas and Yveltal. Price is the same as a regular 3DS XL ($199.99) and will be available two weeks prior to the games' launch.

Honestly I am so PUMPED. TWO STARTERS. TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Mega Blastoise looks fantastic, and I really hope that we get more Mega Evolutions for previous starters (Mega Sceptile pls). I am also definitely buying the Yveltal 3DS lol. The paid for the cloud box storage is unfortunate, but if it is really only $5 a year that's so insignificant I can't really complain. :v

also the full animation for activating the mega evolutions is p. cool

Nintendo & GameFreak are really going all out with this and I am so excited to see how it turns out, really looking forward to the release.

Mega Charizard looks... very generic. It's just a slightly more impressive dragon, but we kind of have an entire type for those. Mega Venusaur looks cool, not a big change, but one that does make it look a fair bit better. Mega Blastoise though, with a giant cannon on its back and one on either hand... wow. It even has a goatee to top it off.
But this makes it hard for me since I'll have three water types on my team; Froakie, Squirtle, and my surfer. Oh well.

So with MegaBlaziken confirmed, and Mega Kanto starters too, that pretty much confirms all Starters as having a Mega form. Can't wait to see the others.
