PSP for sure. It has a bunch of good games that have already been stated above me, but what most people aren't getting is that the PSP wasn't made for games, it was made by Sony to see how they will do in the handheld department and to see what they can cram into a small little thing. The PSP is a multimedia device, most of my friend got theirs just because it can play movies and music, not for the games.

The DS is made for games, but the only good one to me is Pokemon and the Mario series, so my vote goes to the PSP.

That's why you trade it in for the PSP Slim ^_^

PSP gets my vote for the graphics, software, internet browser, and RSS channels. I hate the double screen on the DS...

    I chose DS because:

#It does have good graphics it actually has an engine in it that can go to gamecube levels (Only the cartridges don't have the power to do so)

#It has innovative gameplay with original ideas (PSP is just a portable version of PSX and PS2 Mixed)

#You can go online Via Wi-Fi

#Can watch TV with a special cartridge

Ds is designed to be played for games so game wise DS wins hands down but PSP is like mushing a crappy game machine, Mp3 and DVd player costing stupid prices (I may buy it for Dissidia: Final Fantasy) I don't like the PSP in general.

I would say the DS even though I have both and think they're great handhelds. The only problem with the PSP is that a few of the UMD casings are breaking and now I can't play those games.

Yeah, I have the same situation as you. All of my casings are breaking...and all this time my DS is working fine...so I'd have to say I prefer the DS.

    and....

#Dictionary Programme. You can bring it to school.(Most of my Chinese buds use them)
    #Sudoku
    #Wireless gameplay
    #Has a longer life
#Will become a MP3 player in Europe(I do not know if it is coming to USA or S'pore)
    #Maple Story on DS
    #DS Download Play
#Lots and lots of games including Nintendogs and the Sims
#Touch screen makes it more up to date
    #You can personalize it
#Pictochat. Does PSP have a chat room? NO.You can draw/write your messages freehand
    #Simulation games rock!

The only thumbs down is that you have to callibirate the touchscreen every once in a while.

    # I'm sure there is a speech phrase game for the PSP which can translate stuff from many languages, I forgot what it was called.

    # Meh a sudoku book would be just as good.

    # True, that is annoying about the PSP

    # PSP already has it, it had it from launch

    # Don't really appeal to me

    # Download play is mainly to play multiplayer demos, but it is a nice feature for multiplayer without owning the game.

    # The PSP has lots of games, i admit the DS games are more original and the PSP's ones.

    # More up to date? Touch screen is quite old, it is a nice feature and add's originality, but the PSP looks and feels more up to date than than DS.

    # You can personalise a PSP with wallpaper, your own videos and music etc etc.

    # Pictochat to me was pretty useless, it was generally low range, and it would be easier just to talk to the person.

    # Matter of opinion.

I'm not critizing, i'm just making counter points, it's a part of the discussion and nothing against you personally.

I say the PSP, because Nintendo is so poor.

This is definately the hardest question you could ask me as I own both, and they have great games(Tekken:Dark Resurrection on PSP and New Super Mario Bros on DS, my favourite games on both so far), I'll have to go with DS though, as i enjoy interactive games more.

    DS, hands down.

I like the touch screen, and I find it amusing to poke stuff with the stylus. But that may just be me. xD

The DS does have great games, like Yoshi (<3), Mario, Sonic, and basically all the Nintendo games we love.
And Nintendogs. That game is awesome. ^^

It does last a long time, too. So for me, DS > PSP.

    DS

I have a DS Lite and it's awesome! I love having two screens and while I can play my DS games, I can also play Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories.

I can chat with all of my friends because they all have DS's and I can also care for my own virtual pets! :D

I also have an attachment-thing that lets me play music, videos, and view pictures off of my DS! We even put an Emulator on it so that I can play many games.

    That's why I think DS's are better.
