Dream Drop Distance Question about KH 3D

Ok, so I've heard the details and descriptions about the E3 trailer for KH 3d, the new game coming out. I just want to know when the actual trailer for the game will be released so I can watch it. Sometime within this week?

 

To my knowledge, the date of the trailer's debut hasn't been confirmed yet.

 

I haven't heard anything, I'm assuming it could have been shown at the Nintendo world 2011 (I'm not sure though) which means it will hopefully come out soon. I don't think there's a date set but it couldn't be that long.

 

It was shown at Nintendo World, but the trailer still hasn't surfaced. We should be getting coverage soon on this title, but I know for a fact that September 2011 will bring us a lot of news from the Tokyo Game Show, along with the summer from E3.

 

Personally I would just like to know a little more towards the story. A trailer would be nice to see though, but I doubt that happening anytime soon - it's a bit too early...

 

I wonder how the new characters will be.Yeah story actually is really a mystery.

 

I wish we could see a trailer soon... since Nomura said that the game will be released late 2011.... I thimk they are already late with a trailer

 

I have some thoughts on this though seeing as I have now seen a trailer with translations. I'm gonna guess that it's gonna be similar to BBS as you go through the worlds as first Riku then Sora. Maybe the other way around. The exam thing might explain why they are there young selves again. The test might be for them to go back in time or something along that line.

 

If this is your desire, then make sure to tune in to E3 this summer, they'll be talking about it. I'm more on the lines of a release date, and if we're lucky - and since the 3DS is out in March, we could be seeing an early to mid 2012 release. Maybe even a late 2011 release.

Haha, I'm thinking in the timeframe of the LoZ Skyward Sword release.

 

nope nomura reveled that it you will switch from sora and riku at ramdom points of the game but it will still be awosome

 

I can't find a raw Famitsu interview translation anywhere. Maybe Famitsu only published a summery? I don't know, but here's what what I can find about what was said about the switching between Sora and Riku.

I'm wondering how they are going to pull off the switches to keep the games balanced. I mean based on play styles you are likely to find one character easier to use than the other, and thus progress through the game more quickly with them. The best I can think of is there being some checkpoints where the stories are intertwined leaving you with a "Sora can't do this to progress until Riku does that"

Doesn't matter too much how they do it. I'm just interested to see.

 

Perhaps as you progress with one character, the other automatically progresses? So if you beat the first boss as Sora, then when you switch to Riku, he'll also have beaten the first boss.

It'd be a waste of effort for all the skipped portions though.

 

maybe the progression with be something similar to how BBS was done?

instead of you manually going between chars the game just does it for you.

for example, Sora goes through a world. and beats it, and then right after you switch to Riku who goes through a world as well.

and at some points the two meet up (?) and it happens like that.

that way the story can have 2 sub plots (Sora and Riku's simultaneous plots) while still being connected by a larger over arching plot.

at least that's how i would do it.

 

Read my last post again. The interview I quoted says very directly that is not the case. The switch can happen at any point, even in the midst of battle, and has no correlation to the storyline.

 

...So it's just a random switch? At any time? That seems a bit confusing, but do you think that after the switch you'll start off where you left off after the switch before?

 

That's so weird, it seems to imply that Sora and Riku are traveling together and you just switch players like in Dark Cloud 2. But they aren't, they have different stories. Unless...

Okay this is going to sound weird, but maybe the reason they look young is because they both removed a part of themselves and put it in the other? Thus making each part less powerful and have the appearance of a younger version. And then they just kind of switch whenever they need to.

No, there's no way, that's way too weird. But I AM really curious now.

 

You left out the reason why they would do that. I just hope that this isn't a game with multiple endings... those can get annoying.

 

hmmm, I'm not really an expert, but I believe during a main part of the game, you switch characters.

 

I've read that you change character during main parts of the storyline and at random points in the game (the exsample I found was one second your Sora battling a shadow heartless then all of a sudden your Riku jumping buildings....)

 

Hopefully the trailer should surface this summer.
