Oh my God.Are you serious?So your an atheist.Well I'm a Christian,a bit ago I was almost agnostic,which mean I'm not sure about God and so on.But...I'm sticking with christianity.But that's bull.I can't believe people would treat you like that because of your religion.I have plenty of atheists at my school and they don't get messed with.They're treated like everyone else.I don't know why people can't just accept it,move on and keep going with your life.

 

I think it's really stupid not to like someone because he/she isn't a christian. Or the other way around. Some people (even here) cant stop commenting on what other people believe in. Why cant people just accept that some people don't believe in god, some people do and some believe in different gods! I've seen so many threads like "God's not real!" Or "Why don't people believe in god?". It's really really stupid!

thanks for trying to help guys. I'm planning on moving out of this town as soon as possible, so hopefully I'll leave this whole thing behind in a year or two.

 

I don't allow my opinion of religion to interfere with my social life, but I won't put a sock in my trap just because a friend has a different opinion than me.
Religious background (if any) is seldom a hinderance to anyone when hanging around with friends.

 

If its Christians that are doing this to you, they are probably Catholics or believers that they themselves chose God.

I am a protestant and I believe that God chooses who gets to go heaven, meaning that If you aren't a Christian, it's God's will and it isn't my place to try to change you or treat you differently than i would treat a Christian, meaning that i wouldn't do anything any of these people are doing or hesitate to be your friend, provided that aren't one of those "in-your-face" ****head atheists, in which case I would probably just ignore you.


Catholics are incredibly judgmental, from my personal experience, and behavior like that is to be expected. People that believe they chose God tend to have pride and look down on people who decided not to choose God.
