Remember a week ago when I made that thread about how I asked that girl out?

Well she said yes! Granted, she didn't even see the messages, so I had to ask her again, but she still said yes! As long as I let her buy dessert. Yeah, I guess that's not a proper date, but who cares?

And believe me, it was kind of an unusual conversation. She was all

And then in my mind I was like

But then she went

And I sighed heavily before typing

To which she replied

AND NOW I'M SO HAPPY! I FEEL LIKE I COULD CLIMB ON TOP OF MY HOUSE, JUMP OFF, THEN BOUNCE OFF THE GROUND INTO THE SKY YELLING, "SHE SAID YEEEEEEESSSSS!," AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS EVEN THOUGH IT'S REAlly only a date and I'm just too excited for my own good.

 

Wow, a bit surprised that guys actually do that when "she" says yes, but anyway congrats! =)

Anyway, congrats! Enjoy your relationship. Enjoy missing being single. Enjoy missing being free to do whatever the f*ck you want without someone constantly texting you. Enjoy not being able to wear your favourite shirt. Enjoy enduring nagging. Enjoy confusion. Really, enjoy your date and the future it holds =P

Seriously though, congrats :)

 

It's just one date, and a first date at that. Granted, she did take me to her senior Homecoming about a year ago, but that wasn't a date, it was me cooking her dinner and then going to an event that calls for formal dress and slow dancing.

Also, I don't text and my phone plan doesn't cover sending text messages. So even if we do have a future that involves her obsessively texting me, I won't be able to text her back. Besides that, I'd be the one doing the obsessive texting if I were into that kind of thing.

 

Sorry but from the sounds of it some sort of future could come out of this :P

Haha I found the texting thing hilarious. serious word of caution: if you ever start texting, don't do it obsessively...we hate that.

Funny how your thought process throughout the whole thing and your reaction to her saying yes are basically the same things I would've done. xD

 

I think its the same thought process anyone has to be honest. Hell, I've asked guys out (with terrible consequences) and had the exact same thing going through my head :)

So far, the plan is for me to buy her some ribs and ice cream at the Jazz and Rib Fest next week. Then I'll let her buy me something because she insists on sharing some of the cost. Some time during that day's activities, I'll give her one or both of her two birthday gifts depending on if number two is here by then.
