Remnants of The Wielders

Marushi was enjoying herself. She had never fought the heartless before, and she had no idea what those white things (Nobodies) were, but it came to her easily. She thought it was fun, she didn't think about the actual danger of it.

 

Matt moved a little bit quicker, "Don't start the fun without me." he said, summoning his keyblade and slashing at nearby heartless and Nobodies. That Marushi girl, she's more careless then me. That's saying something. Just hope she'll be ok, but I have to leave that up to them.

 

Hogsan summoned his keyblade and fought the heartless and Nobodies with brute force. He looked over at, Hogsan had only known Matt for a very short time but he already found himself thinking of him as a friend. He would protect him if anything happened. Friends did that for each other, they looked out for each other, and Hogsan would protect Matt.

 

Xenree felt a sense of odd familarity from this mansion. Reaching a hand out to touch the broken table in the middle of the room, a Nobody dashed in front of her and Xenree felt annoyance well up inside her. "Hmph, out of my way." Cutting it in half, she finally noticed everyone else and the Heartless and other Nobodies. "Odd...usually I don't miss these things." Throwing Dark Void in a Strike Raid, she ducked under a Nobody's swipe and wrapped her fingers around it's slim middle. Xenree tossed the Nobody into a group of Heartless, "Fetch!"

 

Marushi laughed as she rushed through a group of heartless, slashing them with her keyblade. "That was AWESOME, Xenree!" She called over to her.

 

Distracted, Xenree turned toward Marushi, "What...?" Her focus lost, she barely had time to register that Dark Void was returning. Too close to catch, she turned aside.....too slow. Dark Void's edge cut into her shoulder and clattered to the ground behind her. Dark blood stained her clothes and she gripped her shoulder to stop the bleeding. It was too late. The heartless caught the scent of fresh blood and backed her into a corner. If she took her hand off her wound, she'd bleed to death, and yet not summoning Dark Void back to her hand would leave her defenseless.
Faced with a choice. Xenree growled and lifted her bleeding arm to the sky and let her black trench coat fall to the ground. Her normal clothes were plain black pants and a backless shirt. The wound was clear and nasty. "Darkness!" she cried and darkness covered her, settling on her back and morphing into a pair of black angelic wings. By now, she was pale and panting with exertion. Her new wings folded over her body and opened quickly, releasing a powerful Aeroaga spell that knocked back the heartless, stunning them.

 

Marushi stopped, all smiles forgotten. What had she done? Xenree was hurt... because of her. "No... NOOO!!!" she started to run towards her, but was stopped by heartless. She had to fight them. "Xenree... I'm sorry!" She shouted, slashing at the heartless, but there were too many. She couldn't reach her... What was happening? She saw the wings on Xenree's back. Was the darkness consuming her? Marushi didn't know what that looked like. What had she done...

 

Xenree smiled kindly even as she dropped to her knees, blinking the fog from her vision. "Never you mind....about me...." she panted, dropping face first into the ground. The exhaustion from her fights earlier had taken the strength she'd needed to keep herself from passing out from blood loss. Oh, this isn't good. she thought, resenting herself for being weak.

 

Marushi finally got to Xenree's side, but now she remembered she didn't know how to heal. But she had to help somehow. She began to defend Xenree from the heartless. She was killing them quickly, but more and more were coming. "Help! What do I do?" she called. She was beginning to panic. She had never been in a fight like this before. She couldn't let Xenree die... she couldn't lose a friend.

 

Hogsan tried to run up to them and help but many large heartless blocked his path. "HELP HER!!" Hogsan yelled to Orias and the others. Then to Marushi "Stay calm, don't panic." Hogsan blasted apart a heartless but more heartless kept coming.

 

Orias was utterly shocked. "Hold on Xenree!" He rushed over to help his best friend. "Here, drink this" He handed her an Elixir.

 

Xenree dragged herself into a more sutable position to drink the elixer. She felt her energy return, though her shoulder still ached. "Thanks." she croaked. Her black angelic wings faded back into the dark markings on her back and though her eyes were half closed, she resummoned her Keyblade back to her hand.

 

Hogsan sighed in releif. Xenree was okay. He may not like her very much but he didn't want her to die. He blasted apart the last heartless holding him back and ran toward the group. "Are yo okay. Xenree?" Hogsan said.

 

Pushing herself up, Xenree winced, "Okay as I'll ever be." Shooting a sationary Blizzaga into the ground, it exploded and froze several Heartless.

 

Marushi smiled. "Yay, you're okay!" She slashed at some heartless. That was too close. She didn't like to think about people dying. So she stopped.

 

xenree felt a wave of vertigo hit her from the spell and the use of darkness again. Hmm, three times in one day....perhaps I'm just not used to it yet. Wavering on her feet, Xenree cast a more advanced spell of Seeker Mine and let the moving explosions take care of the frozen Heartless.

 

Orias sighed in relief. Then he put on a Fake mad face, went up to Xenree and said: "Don't ever do that again!"

 

Xenree saw right through her friend. Laughing until her shoulder ached, she lightly rested her hand on his shoulder, "You have my word." She gave him her best puppy dog face and suppressed her smile, "Though honestly, we should save speaking for after the battles." she said, jerking her head toward the remaining Heartless.

 

Orias laughed, "Your right" He said as he summoned his keyblade again and attacked. "Stay close Marushi and focus ok?"

 

Xenree hung back, letting them do most of the fighting until she knew her energy was fully back to normal.
