Remnants of The Wielders

Ed laughed once more. "You're only ignoring me cuz you know you can't win." He was about to attack when Orias burst in and stood in front of Xenree. "Not While I'm around!" he said. Ed Stared, then smiled. "Fine," he said with a laugh, "Just take care of your girlfriend ok?" then he left. Orias didn't bother turning. He just waited until Xenree noticed him.

 

Sharumix had reached the island. As she stood on the shore looking out into the ocean, something caught her eye. She looked at the ground by her feet and then bent down and picked something out of the sand. It was a seashell. She smiled as she held it in her hand and memories danced their way through her head. Kairi sitting on this very shore, making a lucky charm with shells like these. Xion coming here every day, gathering shells to give to Roxas while he slept. Sora snoozing on the beach, not knowing that his strange dreams were preparing him for the journey ahead. Aqua, wishing that her journey hadn't seperated her from her friends. Riku, looking out at the sea, longing for the unknown. And another boy, from an even older time, longing for the same thing. Sharumix opened her eyes. That other boy... Was that Xehanort? She looked at the shell a moment longer, and then, pocketing it, she turned and headed towards the secret place. If she remembered correctly, Sora's first battle against Ansem was fought there.

 

Xenree buried her face in Orias' back and Crowley left.

Two boys on the beach caught Sharumix's attention, if only briefly. "Huh? Sora, what's wrong?" The other boy with brown hair gave him a quizzical glance, "You're..." he pointed to his face and the brown haired boy touched a tear running down his cheek. "Well that's weird. It feels like someone is squeezing my heart." His friend gave a small smile, "Maybe...someone up there is really hurting." "Up where?" "In the universe. I bet, they're really sad and they want you to help." The brown haired boy frowned, "How am I supposed to help them?" "Maybe...they just want someone to open their heart and listen." They both looked to the sky. "Y'know Riku, you say some pretty weird stuff. But I'll try it!" he closed his eyes and lifted his face to the sky.

 

Orias turned to her, confused. This isn't like her, something's wrong. He was about to ask when he decided it may not be best to question this. He just patted her shoulder gently.

 

Sharumix smiled as she remembered the two boys in her vision. She remembered this meeting from three different points of veiw. Riku, always the boy with answers, watching his friend be changed forever. Sora, opening his heart to help a hurting stranger. And Ven, looking for a way home and finding it in that caring heart. This island sure has a great history, She thought to herself as she walked to the secret place. Squeezing through the opening, she stepped into the cave and paused. The memories here were not so great. She was Sora, and Kairi was gone. She was Kairi, and Sora was gone. She was Riku when he found the keyhole at a young age and understood it. She was Ansem, when he came to open the door and found it already open, waiting for him to unleash its darkness. She was Sora again, and the boy in front of her was not the friend she had always known him to be. Changing, he now stood before her as a grown man, ready to fight as the world around them dissapeared. Sharumix turned to leave the cave, but stopped. out of all the places on this charming island, this realm of hard memories was the place where Crowley would most likely be. She turned around again and walked toward the keyhole, keyblade in hand, ready for the worst.

 

Xenree pulled back, dark circles under her eyes, "I'm sorry Orias...I'm running out of time. I have to go."

 

"LEt me go wit you Xenree. I want to help. I don't care what anyone thinks. You and I are a team." Orias replied to her. I will protect my friends. he vowed silently.

 

Xenree sighed and nodded, "Alright. We move out then."

 

Orias looked a Xenree. "So how come Crowley takes time everytime you do your job? Like Ed said, it isn't fair." He was wondering what els wasn't fair, Xenree and Marushi becoming Nobodies, Losing Hogsan (Where was he anyway?), and him and Xenree having to do this for someone as nasty as Crowley. It's just not fair...

 

Xenree sighed, "Crowley says it's to make me actually do my job... Seven weeks is still a long time."

 

"But it's not enough and you know that as well as I do!" Orias couldn't believe she was so "at home" with Crowley taking her time away. "You would do your job anyway, so why can't he just accept that!? And why are you so comfortable with that!? You know that you will fail if he takes away your time again, and you'll become his! Do you want to be his forever!?"

 

Xenree's eyes blazed and her temper snapped. "NO! Would you rather I defy and waste my time sitting around acting like in seven weeks I won't just die!? At least I can do something about this Orias! Even if I'm down to the last minute, I will do this! If it gets me back my soul and frees me from the contract I made...I'll do anything..." She choked on her words and started to cry. "Don't you think...that I worry about this everyday? I was foolish and I wanted to learn what Riku did. He learned a valuable lesson that no one else can if not following in his footsteps. Crowley...I know what he is now...once I get my soul back, I will defeat him and end this nightmare." Wiping her eyes Xenree met Orias' eyes, "I will not stand here and throw a tantrum because I lose one battle when I can work to win the war."

 

Sharumix left the secret spot and looked around the island. Crowley hadn't been in the cave like she expected, and now she wasn't sure where to go. looking to her left, she saw a small building, and behind it, a bridge that led to a small piece of the island. She remembered that bit of land. She was Riku, holding out his hand and accepting the darkness. She was Sora, and Riku was gone. She was Aqua, watching the two young boys and seeing her two lost friends. She was Riku, coming back in a whirl of false memories, knowing that it was he who destroyed his home. She was Xion, knowing that she was never meant to exist yet longing to remain. She was Sora, looking out to sea, with the King's letter in his hand, making the decision to return to the fight. Sharumix summoned her keyblade quietly and went through the shack onto the bridge beyond. Maybe Crowley was on that part of the island. Well, it was worth a shot.

 

"You're right." Orias said. "I- I don't know what came over me..."

 

Xenree hugged him and sad on the ground, "Where do I go now?"

 

Orias sat on the ground next to her and put an arm around her. "Wherever you want to, just know that I'll always be there to help." Orias turned to face Xenree and hid feelings for her rose again. Always at the worst possible moment. Before he could control himself, Orias leaned forward and kissed Xenree again, just as he had the other time in Agrabah. She's gonna kill me this time, I'm sure of it.

 

OOC: Hey, just thought I'd let you all know, I'm going on vacation next week, and there's no internet available. :P So, sorry, but my character's are gonna be pretty quiet next week. The way I see it, Sharumix isn't really doing much right now, anyway, so that's not gonna be a huge deal. Well, see you next week!

Other: is the decendant of riku and aqua and Xenree's brother. he has been away training for several years, during which time he exchanged his right eye for that of a demons, allowing him to see his opponents move a second before they make it. uses his sword and handgun in combat mostly but when the situation gets dire he'll summon his keyblade and combine the sheer force of the sword with the speed of his keyblade to make for a devastating combination
