If you accomplished this Makaze needs to be stripped of all his debating medals.

Not against Mak in particular. His stance tends to be "All dubs suck." I was just mentioning it.

He believes he won, but we came to an impasse of opinion, and he was not actually arguing for 4kids, either.

    ... Oh.

P has a way of avoiding a loss by saying, "I agree." He never admits defeat openly. Which can be quite annoying.

He gestured at the brief and brutal lay of stones between us. “Look at that. Why would I ever want to win a game such as this?”
I looked down at the board. “The point isn't to win?” I asked.
“The point,” Bredon said grandly, “is to play a beautiful game.” He lifted his hands and shrugged, his face breaking into a beautific smile. “Why would I want to win anything other than a beautiful game?”

That was very nice, where is it from?

'Measure your ability by the enemies you face'

So in a way both Makaze and Repliku win, no?

Oh lols, I remember his rants and rage with dubs. Especially with Baccano. And when I was having trouble trying to view an episode subbed. "NEVER WATCH DUBS IN THE MIDDLE OF SUBS. EVER." Or something like that.

Lols I take this route too.

Wait what?! The English dub of Baccano is amazing. I'd even say that it was better than the original Japanese just because English fits the setting so much better.

The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. The series comes very highly recommended. Read The Name of the Wind first.

    Two words: aesthetic timing.

Having watched it both dubbed and subbed, I did not feel the atmosphere half as well in English. I have come to the conclusion that this is because of the timing and volume of the language and the music, an aesthetic blend that gave certain impressions or feelings that the English version did not duplicate, especially eerie feelings. The original sent shivers down my spine in several places, but the English was not as impacting. Less powerful.

I found the same thing with the Durarara!! dub when I tried to watch it. Izaya's speeches were not as chilling to me. Just me? I do not think so, but meh...

You say that like Makaze is scary.

Hmmmmmm I see. Usually I don't really care for the whole sub vs. dub thing. But for Baccano, it's different. I've watched both the Japanese and English dub and I honestly can't get into the original as much because it feels much more natural in English. The show is set in America after all. Giving appropriate American accents that fit the time period really sold it to me because it just gave life to the setting of the show.

I can't really say anything about the English dub of Durarara!! yet since I haven't watched it.

You do not realise the amount of things wrong with your post.

Expecially when addressing Makaze, he does not take too kind to certain attempts at passive aggression. Nor spelling and grammatical errors.

Wow what is he your god or something? He has a mind of his own let him use it. I don't need someone else to explain to me what he does and does not take to kindly too. I could care less to be honest. He doesn't scare me at all.

    Alright
I don't know if you were TRYING to dickride or not but I'll just go out and say it
You sound like an ENORMOUS dickrider right now.
There's nothing worse then scaring people to act a certain way because if you don't then a specific member will condescend you for it.

I did not tell you those things to fear him, only to understand him.

I did not mean to sound offensive, I only reflected on your use of passive aggression as a tool to rile Makaze up, which in my experience is not that effective. I also was warning you that he would likely come back at you by telling you your faults in spelling and grammar.
He is not my god by any stretch of the imagination, purely a person I enjoy talking to on the internet.

When I try offend others, it is more b*tchy then that.

This is being blown way out of proportion to what I meant.
