Lana said cautiously, very concious of each word she was saying. And she felt as if every syllable made her hidden feelings that little bit clearer. Here it goes... "Sweet."

The silence unnerved Lana to a terrifying degree. She had no idea how he'd taken that, all she could tell was what she could see from the couner of her eye, as now she was to shocked that she'd had the backbone to say those things to even look upon him. And what she could see was him gazing to the floor and stratching his cheek, though maybe there was something else in his complexion that threw her. But she had no idea what it was.
