"Oh, you're leaving? I guess you have better stuff to do then this anyway... And..." Lana sighed, there as so much she wanted to say. So much she needed to say, but all of it. Every last word was inapropriate for the moment to the nth degree. So, with a heavy heart she resigned to keeping quiet. Maybe even taking the secret to the grave with her. As much as it hurt her to even consider doing so. "No. There's nothing else I can say..."

 

"I want to stay but I have a job to do but I'll visit every chance I get. I'm not leaving right away though..."

 

"I know sir. Being a drama queen as per usual." Lana laughed, her giggles sounding almost hollow and unreal. "And thank-you for coming in sir. Don't worry about hanging around once the operation-thingys started... I doubt the out come will be worth your time..."

 

"Never say that again."

 

"What? The truth?"

 

"That's not true"

 

"Chances are I'm gonna die. If the bullet stays I'm a goner, if the operation happens I have like a 25% survival rate. You're not gonna want to hang around for that..."

 

"I want to stay so I am..." He was going to say something else but stpped himself. "I don't want you to die. At least not yet."

 

"So you may want me to die later?" Lana questioned, rasing an eyebrow suspeciously at him. Even looking as frail as she did there was still an rather intimdating air to her "Looks".

 

"No. I don't want you to die at all but all life must end....I just."

 

"I know... And just what?"

 

"you're my reason now."

 

"I'm... Your reason?"

 

"My reason to live."

 

Lana silently had a sudden and sharp intake of breath, that was the weirdest and most bizzarley flattering thing she had ever heard. She opened her mouth to say something but no words came, she couldn't think of a single utterence that was a good and apropriate response. All she could manage was a quiet high pitched sound that didn't even last a millisecond and a light pink blush.

 

"are you okay?"

 

ooc: ra. the guy who has the suitcase with the cure is dead, right infront of the SPK headquarters. Just thought you should know...

Lana rambled, knowing she had to say something and couldn't remain silent. However after hearing what she had just said she wondered if remaining silent would of been a better idea.

Some SPK members came out to the guy and brought his body inside. They took the cure to a different room and disposed of the ody the right way
