Near was now alone

Lana muttered her humilliating defeat as she walked away, knowing that further action would just cause her more embarassesment then even that one photo of her crying would cause; losing to a blonde... And that blonde too.

But Mello is epic kawaii! "What is it Rodger?" Soo cute! I just wanna hug the mass murdering, leather wearing, man-wh*re looking kid!

 

Mellody let a small giggle escape her lips but simply walked off.

 

Suddenly just as Mellody began to walk away, Lana stopped walking. She'd cringed slightly at the giggle and the stuble and small movement teamed with the prevoius little 'fight' had caused something to happend to her stitches. Against the pure white of her shirt a dark, deep red stain began to spread across the material. Lana biting down on her lip to stop herself making any sounds of pain.

 

Mellody looked back at her, expecting to see her cringing feature, her smirk changing to a face of surprise. "Hey, you okay?!"

 

"Oh I'm just perfect... I just happen to be trying to dye my shirt red with the power of my mind." She said in a weak laugh. "I...I think..." Lana tried to explain through the stutterings of her pain "I think... I may...just of ripped open my stitches..." And it still hasn't been 24 hours since the haemorrage in the threatre... This isn't good...

 

"You want some help?!" Mellody yelled to her running back towards her.

 

"Yeah... That'd be great..." She mumbled, falling against a wall as her legs suddenly gave way beneath her. Her body becomer weaker and weaker from loss of blood by the second.

 

Mellody nodded, running over to Lana and holding her arm up over her shoulder.

 

"I'm still p*ssed at you, you know." Lana mumbled weakly, accepting her assistance because there was very little else she could do. "But thanks..."

 

"Don't go thanking me." Mellody muttered. "I'm only heelping because i need you alive, now come on, do you awnt me to call the hospital or do you want to go back to Near first?"

 

"Hospital... Good chance if I loose much more blood I'll... I'll die..."

 

"Right..." Mellody grunted, reaching for her phone, and dialing for the hospital. "Hello, we have a patient in need of treatment on... Lana where are we?"

 

"Don't use my name..." She mumbled "If you want a name call me Luna at least, and I dunno... Sobaku Avenue I think..."

 

"Ok..." Mellody agreed. "Anyway, we have a patient in need of medical assistance in Sobaku Avenue... don't question me just get here!"

 

"Urgh... I'm gonna have to use the same name as last time... And I don't even know what that was..."

 

"Who cares?" Mellody asked, shifting Lana's weight. "We NEED to get you in hospital now shut up and come on!"

 

"But if I don't use the right name they'll get suspicious. They get suspicious and there's someone connected to Kira they'll just kill me on the spot as a just in case. And I know that at least one guy knows my face and if it's him I'm f*cked. Also, they won't be able to get the full details of my opperation so they won't know about everything that happened, there was a load of stuff they didn't tell me!"

 

Mellody bit her lip. "Well, all we can do is hope for the best and get you some treatment... leave everything else up to me... ok?"

 

"Fine..." Lana agreed, it wasn't as if she had anyother choice. As much as she disliked the idea; Her life was well and truley in Mellody's hands.
