"Oh yeah, so he can think about how I'm gonna feel when he... he..."

 

Mellody opened her mouth slightly as she realised what she had bought up again. "oh... sorry L... i didn't meant it like that!"

 

"No... It--It's alright. I've got to get used to the idea he isn't going to be around forever... I can't hide from the truth... As much as I'd love to be able too and how much I want to..." She reassured, smiling sadly and bushing the hair back from her face. "Can't choose who you fall for I guess."

 

Mellody smiled sweetly at her. "Dear... if i'm right it's just how little care he takes of his body right? well if that's the case maybe we can help him get better?"

 

"He doesn't listen. I've been trying so hard to get him to at least sleep and eat regularly. But he just won't be helped. It's almost as though he wants to die..."

 

Mellody's sweet smile turned into a evil grin. "Honey when nohing else works, force takes the cake."

 

"I don't want to hurt him you know, and I'm guessing from that little philosophy of your's you were the one that sat on him to make him do something recently."

 

"You know, before you came back i almost had him eating again..." Mellody explained. "He takes advantage of you dear, and you gotta start hitting back... even if you don't want to hurt him, this will help him survive in the long run..."

 

"Oh I've realised that now. Why do you think I threatend to pin him down and force feed him? I also like... emotionally blackmailed him into eating that cake. Though I think he's the one that really won that one, seeing as the falling over and knocking the cake down was what disloged the bullet."

 

"Threatening ain't enough..." Mellody persisted. "Actually force him to... and speaking of the bullet... how are you handling the stitches?"

 

"Yeah, unlike you he could most likely just push me away." She laughed "I'm a midget, and I'm doing alright. Just gotta wait for the anemia to go away and then just wait for them to heal. But I've got to get the staples remeoved in a week or so..."

 

"yeah..." Mellody sighed. "Then, i'll tackle him down adn you force-feed!"

 

"Hell yeah, tag-team feeding." She laughed.

 

Mellody laughed as well, surprised at how good a friend she had found, and having the first good time in a long while.

 

"Just wondering, but where do you get all the leather clothing from? I know I have a hell of a time finding so much as a leather jacket these days."

 

Mellody shrugged. "Benefits of Mafia..."

 

"Mafia?" Lana asked in surprise. "Wow."

 

"Me and Dein were on our own..." Mellody shrugged. "How else were we gonna survive?"

 

"You just get more and more interesting by the second..." She commented, cocking her head to one side and looking at her up and down very closley.
