"That's nuts..." Lana said shaking her head free of the images. Then turning back to Near "Anyway, you still haven't answered my question Near: Have you eaten today or slept at all recently? And I don't mean lego blocks and catnaps." She asked, a strange tone of both extreme concern, seriousness and also, just below the surface there was an odd undertone. Her eyes studying his face carfully as she'd know if he was lying if he looked away when he answered.

 

Mellody sighed, hearing the slight crack in Lana's voice. She let her stand there for a minute, but wuickly walked through the doors. "Lana, could youcome with me for a moment?"

 

Lana's deep indigo-blue eyes flickered from Near's face to Mellody, then back to Near then once again returned to the blonde then finally rested on Near again. "Fine." She replied coldly to her, not taking her eyes off her boss. "But don't think I'm not expecting an answer when I return." Lana told him, still obviously very, very worried about him and his situation. "Alright?" She added with a firm nod before tearing her eyes from him and walking after Mellody, her jeans quietly scuffing against the floor.

 

Mellody shook her head as Lana persisted, walking slightly out of the door.

 

Lana swiftly followed behind her, glacing up at the monitor screen that had Near in the centre of it. Obvioulsy unable to look back at him with arousing suspicion, but she wanted to see his reaction when he thought her back was turned. Unfortunatly he seemed, as ever, unresponsive as of yet. Leaving the Computer monitor room and turning around to face Mellody as she came out behind her.

 

"You need to calm down..." Mellody explained blankly.

 

"I'm not angry at all." Lana said calmly, nothing seeming to be wrong. "And you're not exactly one to be giving lectures on anger management Mellody. Not exactly ice cold are you?"

 

"Who said anything about anger?" Mellody taunted. "Anyway, we're beyond those arguments, thepoint was you sounded like you were gonna snap before..."

 

"Urgh... That... I'm not going to snap. I'm alright, I'm normally very good at not breaking when it comes to loosing control. I don't get really angry on the surface much."

 

Mellody sighed. "I'm just saying..."

 

"I'll be fine hun. Not like I'm gonna hurt him."

A hour ago Terri had finished talking to the spy and now walked into her friend's house, taking off her shoes at the door

Near sighed when she was gone, too distracted to say anything and didn't want to speak when she was in the room just in case his voice was shakey. He turned to face Bendict "sounds like a pretty intersting case." He said, voice just fine. He felt bad enough so he wanted to avoid the topic for as long as he could before Lana came back in the room
