Roadtrip

Emily closed her eyes for a moment, imagining all of the places they could go. "Let's go to California." She whispered. "Ugh, I'm starving. Can we go to McDonalds first?" Emily never really ate junk food, but at the moment she was really craving it. "Who are we picking up first? Kipp?" Oh man. I need to be quiet. It's so easy to tell when I'm tired. I always talk more.

Kipp inhaled the last of his cigarette once the familiar SUV came into view. Scott took his brother's car? Oh ****. He thought to himself, as he got up from the seat on the porch, grabbing his bags. Kipp then put his cigarette out with his right foot, and slowly approached the car on the side of the road. He noticed it was a little chilly for his t-shirt and baggy jeans. He shrugged as he opened the back door and thrown his bag towards the trunk, and slumped in his seat.
"Mornin' guys." He groggily said, the first thing he said all morning.

 

Alyssa sat impatiently outside of her house. Know the others they would probably decide to pick her up last, and she was going to be sure to give them hell about that. She looked down at her arms and noticed she had gotten goose bumps in the span of her waiting. She dug into her bag, making her way through make-up, clothes, and other necessities and pulled out a large hoodie she had gotten from one of her guy friends. It's always nice having friends of the opposite sex, their clothes are larger and smell really good. She pulled on the hoodie and sat. She took out her phone and sent Emily a text reading: Have you been picked up yet? I think I am beginning to freeze. Sure that may have been a bit dramatic, but that is what Alyssa is, dramatic.

 

"Hey Kipp!" Emily said excitedly, turning in her seat to face him. "Ready to go?" She frowned, smelling the scent of cigarettes. I hope he doesn't smoke around me... She thought to herself. She turned back around, deciding to not wait for a response. "Hey, are we going to get Alyssa now?" Mmm, then we can eat that yummy, greasy McDonalds goodness. "If you have a problem buying food, I can buy my own. If you want me to. Do you know where Alyssa's house is?"

 

Kipp mumbled a yes response, as he knew the smoking would annoy the both of them. He looked out the window as he saw the ever more familiar houses near Alyssa's. Kipp chuckled to himself knowing that Alyssa was going to be pissed to be the last in the car.

 

Emily couldn't think much past her sudden hunger cravings. "C'mon." She whined. "Get Aly and let's go to McDonalds. I'm hungr-" Emily caught herself as she realized how whiny she was being. "Oh gosh, I'm sorry."

Emily paused for a moment, thinking to herself. I'm being way to obvious. I need to tone things down a bit. She zipped up her sweater a bit more to hide her gained weight, and began to stare out the window as Scott drove down Alyssa's street.

 

"I just... have the munchies I guess." Emily said with a nervous laugh. She blushed slightly as she realized how piglike she was making herself look. Oh boy.... I need to calm down. Scott is going to find out, then our trip will be f*cked. Remember. We're talking this trip to get AWAY from the drama... Not cause more. " So where are we going to stop for the night? Or... I guess I should say... morning...?"

 

Kipp listened to the conversation quietly, wanting to speak. He chose not to, and continued looking out the window. He wanted to go in his bag and take swig of his flask he has in there, but he knew if he tried anything stupid; they would probably leave him somewhere.

 

Alyssa watched as the car pulled up to her house. She quickly put a look on her face which she hoped read, I'm pissed. She picked up and bag and stood up she walked quickly over to the car and yanked the door open. Looking in she said, "Just as I though, I'm last." She threw her bag onto the floor and plopped down in the back seat. She slammed the door shut and said, "You will receive pay back for this."

Name: Jake Walker
age: 19

appearance: Jake has a tanned skin color. He has medium length spikey black hair with about 5 small bangs over his forehead. He has light brown eyes and is a pretty tall guy.
other: Jake has been a pretty shy guy ever since he was a kid. He gets too nevous around people and because of this he doesn't have that many friends. Over the years his nervousness with people has decreased but is still there. He is a really helpful person who would do almost anything he could to help somebody despite the difficulty. Not wanting to suffer boredom during the summer he took his crappy car and went out on a trip. Unfortunatly for him though, he gets into an accident, damaging the car. Luckily for Jake, he managed to come out unharmed. He thinks pink jelly is alright

Since Jake's car is broken he is stuck at the moment. Since all he wants to do is travel he could meet the others and travel with them

Emily grabbed a Four Year Strong CD out of her duffel bag. "Yes." She said, and without asking, she popped the disc into the player, and the song It Must Really Suck to be Four Year Strong Right Now began to play. "...So take a second and look down. I've got my name on a string, tangled up in lights, despite the fact that they aren't working..." Four Year Strong was Emily's favorite band. She loved their pop punk goodness. In her eyes, no band could compare. Musically and lyrically that is. Plus, who doesn't like a band full of tubby, guitarists with AWESOME beards... She thought to herself.

Emily braced herself for the barrage of protests she was bound to recieve.

 

Kipp sighed as he heard the ever familiar song play. "My Dad listens to this." He said quietly, wanting to add **** to the end. He decided not to, since he was in a pretty good mood from the cigarette he just had. He turned towards Alyssa, and glanced at her angry state, only to shyly say a good morning to her.
