Roadtrip

Emily looked up at Scott, eyes wide. "You heard me right... I'm sorry. I just... thought you should know." She said, looking directly at Scott, and picking her words carefully. " I couldn't keep it a secret anymore."

 

"Wait... What?" Emily looked at Scott again. "What on earth makes you think it's you?" She asked, getting nervous now. "I-I mean, it could be anyone." Emily's mind flicked back to the knot she felt in her stomach before. The feeling was getting more persistent now. She was beginning to feel dizzy. "Y-you know? How do you know? Yes... Okay? Yes, it is you." Nausea was beginning to take over. "I can't-" Emily swiftly pushed open the passengers side door and vomited. God-damned McDonalds picked the worst time. The worst. Why! WHY? WHY!!!

 

"Emily!" Alyssa said as she quickly opened her car door and went to her side. "Are you okay? Do you want to go back in and go to the bathroom and clean up? I'll get you Sprite or something. What do you think will be good on your stomach?" Alyssa began to worry, she really didn't have any idea of what to do, she was just spewing out questions, she was just glad that the secret out now, it had made her act a bit tense. "Come on." She said as she reached a hand out to Emily.

 

Emily's body was shaking all over. "Uhm-uh, okay." She said, taking Alyssa's hand. She couldn't think of anything to say. She was so embarrassed. "Scott, I'm sorry." She said shakily as she slowly unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car, making sure to step over the mess she made on the concrete. In that instant, she really had no idea if she was apologizing for keeping her pregnancy a secret, or nearly vomiting in Scott's car. She walked back inside the McDonalds and washed her face in the bathroom sink. Why did I even want eat here? I hate McDonalds. It always makes me sick... "I'm so sorry Alyssa."

Kipp sat silent, the thought sinking in. "Well, what a secret to be baring." Kipp said aloud jokingly, switching posistions to be more comfortable. The smell of vomit was intruding the car, and Kipp wrinkled his nose at it. "Hey Scott, can we move or something? Emily's McDonalds is scaring me." He asked, hoping to get Scott out of his trance.

 

Emily quietly sat in the McDonalds bathroom alone. "What is he going to say when I get back? Does he even know he had sex with me? Does he remember?" He was so drunk at the time... Emily thought back to an episode of Glee she had seen. Finn thought he got his girlfriend pregnant when he didn't even have sex with her. This is like the opposite of that situation. Emily giggled when she remembered why Finn thought he got Quinn pregnant in the first place. What a dumbass. She thought. She giggled again. She couldn't help it. Finn was adorable. What is Scott going to say about the fact that I didn't tell him?

 

Alyssa walked into the bathroom the check on Emily. "Hey, how are you feeling? Do you need anything?" She asked her. "I can go and get you anything that you need."

 

Kipp just chuckled, knowing how the pressure must feel. "It's alright, man. Don't worry about it. Just let it go. This is a vacation." He said relaxingly, sitting back in the seat, letting his mind go. He really needed a cigarette. "Damn, I'm surprised that I havn't broken down since I need a cigarette." He said to himself, trying to stop himself to reach back and get one. "It's really hard not to, since that news just came through, and everything." He said, trying to start a conversation.

 

Emily looked up at Alyssa. She thought for a moment. "A time machine please?" Now that Scott and Kipp knew... She didn't know what she'd do. Emily couldn't believe how quickly she felt the need to tell her secret.

 

Kipp knew that Emily probably felt pretty bad right about now. "Hey, we should go in there and see how she is." He suggested to Scott, getting out of the car. He noticed people were walking by the vomit about 20 feet away in disgust, wrinkling their noses. Children saying "Mommy, what's that?"
Kipp didn't want to wait for Scott, so he decided to go ahead in the McDonalds. The Lady's Restroom was right there, in front of him. He inhaled deeply, knowing it was probably just them in there. He pushed the door open, looking inside to see Alyssa standing in front of a stall. "Hey," He said sounding concerned.

 

Emily jumped at the sound of Kipp's voice. She definately wasn't expecting to hear it in here. "Yeah, I'm sorry Kipp... Yeah, I'm fine. Uhm... is Scott with you? Just curious." Emily Was starting to feel a little hungry again, which was understa ndable, considering she pretty much just emptied her stomach. She wasn't even going to think about asking for food though. Her stomach was too sensitive right now. "Is Scott taking it okay? I would come out to check, but it might be best for me to stay in here for the next five or ten minutes. Or so... Yeah, you can tell Scott he can come in if he wants to."

 

"Okay. I have some explaining to do. You remember Richard's party a couple months ago?" Emily looked at Scott. "How much do you remember of it? Alot happened at that party."

 

"Well, you got really mad at Richard. He wouldn't leave me alone the entire party. Then he grabbed at me." Emily sighed. "You punched him in the face. And said that he was a bitch for trying to pick me up because he can't get any girls as is. So you two got in a fist fight and he ended up falling into the pool. At least you got him to leave me alone." She was glad he was drunk because if he wasn't, she would most likely be stuck with Richard all that time.

"Then you ended up pinning me to the wall and kissing me. I don't really think I did anything actually." She took out a split end from her hair since she didn't feel like brushing it in the morning.
