Kain moved swiftly to his house and unlocked the door and entered as quick as possible, hoping no one had seen him. Looking around the room he was in he quickly spotted his spare travel bag and began to gather his most important possessions, food, drink and a map of the kingdom. After gathering his things and make sure there was nothing valuable left he sat down at the chair next to his small fireplace. "I'll just take a rest", he said out loud, too tired to think it quietly. This was a brief safe haven. He knew they would not take all his belongings away and sell his house for a few days, even more so that he had the only key until the locksmith had finished his orders from the government.

The Lord sighed. "Being busy is boring." He said simply. In fact, he had a gathering to attend to this evening. He'd much rather be one doing the fighting and going to other places but his country needed him. And though he's been kind to his own people, for the most part anyway, or so he believes, the rest are suffering from taxes and unfair treatment. If anyone saw him they'd love the chance to kill him on the spot. Which is why his advisor keeps him indoors.

Micheal looked as he suddenly remembered something, bust quickly got rid of that expression and then looked towards Gabriel with a blank expression. "Well anyway, enjoy your stay at my castle, Gabriel of Moraning."

ooc- I actually got an idea for another character...is is alright to add one more? I'll pm you the details.

Pantalimon looked around her, despite the voices. She could tell most were the citizens and soon she was used to the amount of people. "Hm, it does not smell good here." she commented after passing a series of make shift houses. "I'm glad I don't live here...." she trailed off as they passed the town square and a strange structure. It seemed to a kind of stage under a wooden beem, rotting as if it's purprose had become obsolete. Something about it made Pan pause. But after staring for alittle too long and being bumped into by a few towns people she shook off her curiosity and ran to catch up with Alice.

Atreyu was startled by the suddeness of this surprise visitor. Had the Dragon-hunters found them this quickly? He wanted to stand and fight to defend Keiran, but the Dragon pinned him still with his tail and kept his wing protectively around the boy. Keiran uttered a warning snarl, giving this man a chance to back off. Atreyu just stared at the man, trying to figure out who he was and why he was there. He appeared to have no fear in facing a Night Fury, and that worried Atreyu. Night Furies were famed for their ruthlessness and their no-survivors way of life. How could this man stand there without a flinch of fear?

Goldwin nodded, used to her man's usual response. She used to thank him all the time when she was little, when Trys brought her up as her parents were so busy. It was odd even for her poor country to have a man raise a princess instead of a wet nurse and chamber maids, but Goldwin hardly cared for those kind of servants; Trys was a companion she was used to having next to her like a second shadow. He rarely reprimanded her anymore except when she thanked him; he always insisted that thanks were not in order for him to just do his job.

She looked ahead of them now, the small group well out of the city. She could see the lake south of them, but their were really no signs of destruction along the path that led there.

"I don't hear anything, either," she muttered aloud. "Boromir... I have a bad feeling about this."

"Of course, Mi'lord, thank you," Gabriel said, giving another small bow. "Just as soon as my reward gets here I'll have that man point me to the correct guest rooms."

OOC: Sounds good, Random Angel; another character is fine with me, i look forward to the PM :D

Keiran sensed no sign of retreat from the man before him and Atreyu. Keiran didn't want any risk of danger coming near Atreyu -- he was already hurt after all -- so he decided to give their guest a little warning. Keiran raised his head and opened his jaws. At first there was only the spark of a flame, and then there was a blast of blue-white fire. It was pure and intense, and very, very hot. The fireball passed dangerously close to the man, but in its passing it did not hurt him; it burned through two trees before extinguishing itself. All the while, Keiran's steely green eyes remained fixed on the man.

"There," Boromir pointed towards the sound of falling trees. "It must be the Dragon. Lady Goldwin, I suggest we proceed with caution."

Blade just stood in the exact same spot unflinching as the fireball zoomed past him. HE stood his ground and stared up at the dragon showing no fear and then held the handle of one of the swords on his back, still staring at the dragon

Goldwin nodded silently, dismounting her horse as they reached the trees, leading it behind her through the brush as silently as possible; with one hand on the reigns and the other on her now-drawn sword, she kept her ears open, listening to signs of anything dangerous.

    "Mi'lady," Trys began quietly. "Ahead."

Goldwin looked in the direction that Trys had indicated, and gasped; she could see that several trees had been charred and the brush was newly burned away all around the area in front of them. She had never seen a range so wide and deadly; the ground was still heated and cindered sparks flew through the air toward them on the wind.

"Stop!" Atreyu hurried to his feet, pushing past Keiran's restraining tail. "Look, whoever-you-are, I dont care who you are or why you're here, but you need to leave. Just get away from us now, and Keiran might let you live." Just as Atreyu said this, Keiran stood up and spread his limbs in a fight-ready stance. This Dragon knew what a sword was, and only trusted one when it was in Atreyu's hands.

Boromir followed Goldwin's lead. When he saw the destruction, his nerves heightened. He'd never seen the damage done by a Night Fury's fire, and now that he had he was even less enthusiastic about facing one.

Blade drew his black sword and held it with both hands looking at the dragon ahead of him. He listened to Atreyu's words but paied no heed to his words. He was not afraid of the dragon infront of him and by just looking at him you could tell he was unafraid.

Goldwin moved forward, staring forward through a spot in the trees.

"Mi'lady, through there," Trys whispered over her left shoulder, pointing once again. "A man... a warrior, by the looks of it, with a large sword... and there, a Dragon, the Night Fury... and a boy behind it."

"His hostage?" Goldwin wondered. "Why on earth would a Dragon have the wits or purpose to take a boy hostage?"

"The boy is with the Dragon, Mi'lady," Trys pointed out, as observant as always. "Look at his stance."

The only reason Keiran didn't bite the man's arm off was Atreyu's hand on his neck. Atreyu had his other hand on his onw sword, hanging from his belt. Keiran was done giving warnings, just itching for Atreyu to back off. He didn't want to have Atreyu close to him when he attacked; he could hurt Atreyu by accident.
"Please, Keiran," Atreyu begged quietly. "If you kill him, you'll only be hunted down faster."
Keiran shok his head to get Atreyu's hand off him. When Atreyu still didn't move, Keiran shot another blast of fire. This time the flames exploded right in front of the man's feet. If he wasn't caught on fire, the heat would be near unbearable, especially in that armor of his.

"With the boy?" Boromir repeated. "How is that even possible? This is a Night Fury we're talking about."

Kain lifted himself to his feet. He'd rested enough, it was time he left this place for good. As he headed out the door he picked up the large bag of his things on the table and left still clad in his full armour. Outside he quickly closed and locked the door before instantly returning in the direction he came from. This time if he was recognised he could run without the need to look back. As he reached the gate a former fellow member of the military on guard duty looked at him with suspicion. Kain instantly picked up pace and left onto the path into the wilderness.

The moment he noticed the fireball heading towards him he had already gotten out of the way by rolling to the side. Blade then prepared his sword and ran forward straight at the dragon

"We know nothing of them," Goldwin said, gasping and shielding her eyes from the glow of the flame in front of the hunter. "For all we know, this could be how all Night Furies behave-"

"Mi'lady, that man will be burned to death if we don't help him," Trys said, stepping forward through the brush behind the man. "Enough!" he shouted, raising his own weapon. "Stop this battle in the name of the Lord and Lady of Numenor!"

Goldwin sighed at Trys' unneeded formality and stepped foward as well. "Boy!" she said, pointing her sword in the direction of the human behind the Dragon. "Come out here and we'll lead you back to your home; you don't need to be afraid anymore."

Keiran's tail wrapped around Atreyu and tossed the boy onto his back. Just before the warrior's sword reached the unlikely duo, Keiran beat his wings and was in the air, just above the tree tops. Atreyu steadied himself on Keiran's back and looked down. Below him, he saw their unknown attacker, and someone else. Another two men, and Lady Goldwin. Atreyu's heart sunk. He recognized one of the men as the Dragon-hunter Boromir. With Goldwin and Boromir there, it meant only one thing for Keiran: death.
He heard Goldwin's word and frowned in puzzlement. But then he understood what she meant. She must have thought that Keiran had him there against his will. He wanted to say something to her, but what to say?

Boromir's eyes nearly popped out of his head at the sight of someone flying on the back of a Dragon. "Lady Goldwin, I believe this changes the situation...."

"We'll only come down if I'm given your word that this Dragon will not be harmed!" Atreyu called down to the people below him.

While walking on the outskirts of the town with Alice, Pantalimon heard an out of place bunch of voices alittle farther on. "You get something to eat and drink, I want to see what that is." she said, pointing in the direction of the sounds just as a fire ball lit up the area a ways away. "Oh, that is definetly interesting." she smiled at the far off area, gave Alice a small wave over her shoulder, and headed in the direction. She thought Alice may follow her later but for the moment she only wanted to see the comotion.

After a few minutes of walking, Pan came across a small group and a dragon, something she did not see often as they were hunted and stayed away from her mountain homes. She stayed off to the side, watching and listening.

"Do you know where you live, boy?" Goldwin retorted, and Trys put his free hand on her shoulder, his usual warning for her to calm down. But Goldwin was upset since she'd had quite the crappy day so far; her parents were practically on her deathbed and Moraning was practically beating down the door to knock her off the throne and take over as soon as possible... and now this boy was speaking to her, no, negotiating with her like she was some common folk? Hell, no, she thought angrily, grinding her teeth. I don't care what that insolent little idiot is riding on, I'll teach him a lesson!

"You've no right to negotiate with the princess of Numenor," Trys stated Goldwin's thoughts as if he knew them. His voice carried surprisingly well, heard by all in the area. "This land is known to keep vicious Dragons dead and harmless ones at bay and banished outside our borders, a reputation that's been known for longer than you've lived, boy. Think before you speak."

Alice wanted to follow Pan out of the town but she knew she wouldn't get very far if she did not rest for a bit ate ate. So she made her way to some sort of a traven where she ate and had some water. Then minutes passed and she could feel the magic within her healing her tiredness and though the best thing to do at the moment would of been to sleep she really wanted to see what was happening outside with the dragon she heard people talking about.

Alice went outside and headed towards the forest. She may not of had a good sense of direction but she wasn't that bad at following tracks.

A guard came to Gabriel. "Your room has been prepared. You reward lies within." He said then started to turn towards to the door. "If you would, please follow me."

ooc: wasn't able to really go online yesterday so I'll send it now ^^'

"I'm sorry!" Atreyu apologized to Goldwin. He knew it was risky to do this, but what choice did he have? He should have left with Keiran when he had the chance. "But I--" he was interrupted by Keiran's irritated grumble. "Calm down, please," he said quietly to the Dragon. Then louder to the others, he continued, "I can't make him come down until he know that I'll be safe, and himself as well." Atreyu's heart was pounding. What was he doing? Had anyone ever tried to negotiated with two of the best Dragon-hunters for the safety of a Dragon? This was completely reckless.
Keiran's eyes narrowed as he stared at Goldwin. He did not like the lady's body language or tone of voice. What's more, that man still had his sword drawn; and the other two ment looked about ready to fight as well. Why wouldn't Atreyu just let him fry the bunch of bullies so they could get back to the peace they had before? It would make things so much easier. And Keiran wanted more of that pig Atreyu had earlier.

Boromir caught the look in Keiran's eyes and whispered to Goldwin, "My lady, perhaps it would be wise to agree to these minor terms. The Night Fury looks on edge. We may end up barbequed." He hand was still on this sword, despite his own words. Better to be cautious than killed.
