As Lucas fought he heard someone else calling out to him, asking how he used his magic. Lucas let out a sigh and rolled his eyes, deflecting attacks as he yelled back. "Why don't you try reading the damn tutorial one of these days. Besides I couldn't help you if I wanted to. If you haven't noticed we are in the middle of a damn boss fight, so shut your trap and fight." He yelled back at Bryce, not in the friendliest of tones either. Damn that kid was an idiot. Who in the world would think it a smart idea to ask for a lesson on how to do something when they were all fighting, desperate not to let their hp bars hit zero. And if a few did, well it would weed out the weak ones. However even week ones had their use as armour and weapon smiths.

Lucas was able to get one other attack in before Jackal began talking to him once again. What was it with people and talking in the middle of battle? Although this time it mostly wasn't to him until then end when she gave him another horrible nickname.
"Yeah, yeah, I got this." Lucas waved her off as he prepared and executed a powerful combo with Hercules.

Samantha attempted to follow all the instructions that had been thrown at her at once. She tried not to think about how to pronounce the incantations and just do it, quickly. It came out as a mumble of hardly understandable words, but the game figured out what she meant to do and used it. So that worked, that was good. The next thing was aiming. The first couple shots were too high, after that they began to get a bit better but still not centered. She was improving though. "Thanks." She told Samuel quietly as she looked down at her bow thinking about the fact she was stick here and what she had to do about it.

Sylar smiled, seeing how <Seth's Angel> was greatly improving. But she still missed a few vital points. Looks like he'll need to finish off those who were still alive. Sylar took off from <Angel>'s side, joining Alexander the great on the field.

"My, what a lovely day!" Sylar said as he sprinted around the field. He pointed his pistol, as he fired off a couple of shots to his left and right, just as he passed by a couple of Orcs. They didn't die, but they were certainly angry. They lumbered off after him, joined by 3 other Orcs. Solar smirked, knowing what he was doing. Drawing a crowd, so that they could be easily picked off as a group, in case <Seth's Angel> needed target practice. After running for some time, he spun, turning to the mob of raging orcs, and began to unload on them, hitting shoulders and chests. Some of the Orcs vanished in a cloud of pixels, but a majority weren't dead. Sylar's feet slid in the grass, and instead of halting and standing ground, he changed direction. As he was about to enter the throng of Orcs, Sylar reloaded, throwing his empty mag in the air and loading a new one in the chamber of his gun. He got close to the Orc that was leading, firing point-blank in the face, side-dodging a slice of a sword. One of the Orcs that were smarter than the average norm clothes-lined Sylar in the chest, backflipping him. He cringed as his HP went down slightly more, going orange. He needed to be more careful. He managed to right himself in the air and land on his feet, and break-roll in the grass, facing the orcs again. He fired a couple more shots, dissipating more Orcs in the process, leaving only one. Sylar stood tall, facing the groveling Orc. It had a scar over it's eye, a fake battle scar probably generated by SAO's database. It let out a guttural roar, as if trying to scare Sylar. But after the fear of being trapped in a death game, Sylar could only be bored at the Orc's attempt to make Sylar retreat.
"Shut up." He responded boredly, quickly and accurately firing a last bullet in the head of the monster, leaving a large red hole. Solar watch unsatisfied as the beast exploded into another throng of pixels. A digital interface appeared in front of him, showing him how much more experience he needed before leveling up, then looked back to both <Seth's Angel> and <SilentBlade>.

A flurry of bullets continued to smack into the Goblin King, each hit emitting an element. The boss was reeling back from the combined power of whomever was firing those shots and the soldiers on the field. For a moment, it really did look like they were going to end this nonsense in a timely manner. It was going to be a huge success for them all, but then Goblin King had to call upon the same power that was given to the players. The power to summon came on full display as the a warrior emerged to aid the Goblin King. Great.

Giant sword swung true to deflect an incoming attack from the King which in turn knocked the Boss off balance for a moment. The players swooped in to use sword skills which caused the remaining HP to wane ever so closer to 0. But my goodness how annoying it was now to be dealing with three threats at once. Minions, Boss, and Boss summon all fighting side by side. Jankano quickly spun around to smack the pommel of his blade against a Goblin Elite's face. It staggered back helplessly in the roaring battlefield before being cleaved through by some other player.

From there he worked his way to joining the fray surrounding the boss. Large powerful swings were thrown, attacks deflected, and overall just a good ol' time of fighting the boss like everyone on the field. Nothing Special. With a jump Jankano swung his blade upwards, akin to an uppercut or shiryuken. Yes, the attack did connect; specifically sternum. It slashed the Goblin King's chest, and the it seemed to cringe in pain. Good. Midair after executing the attack, he lifted the blade over his head and slammed it down on the King's head using an axe wielders overhead swing. How he did this while in mid air, he didn't know but hey video game physics. A weapon skill is a weapon skill. All Jankano knew at that moment was that it was indeed working, and hell some players seemed to be doing the same thing.

anyway, the sword was brought down on the Boss and that was that. Well, not really. As Jankano landed after his attack, he was smacked relatively hard by the Summon. He barely had enough time to bring his sword up as a shield to parry the attack. Naturally he lost a ton of HP, and was sent sky rocketing across the field. Helpless and pretty much shocked, he was met with the side of the tower where his body left a huge dent. Bricks came fallng off as he fell to the dirt beneath.

HP was currently at red, and while all it would take was a quick shot of potion, he wasn't exactly in the best of shape at the moment. Blade bit into the earth as he used it as a cane in the struggle to rise to feet.

"Don't worry about it, just keep yourself alive" Samuel replied to <Seth's Angel>, before sprinting over to help <Hades>. His ally, however, seemed to have things covered. That was a good thing, since party exp was a thing and Sylar had seemingly levelled Samuel to level six. As another orc spawned, Samuel dashed at it and swung at it with his katana and sword, both blades slashing directly across the centre of the orc. The orc staggered slightly, and as it did Samuel capitalized on the moment of distraction and delivered another thrust forward with the sword and a vertical slash with the katana, dispatching the orc in an explosion of pixels. He sheathed his weapons and turned to face his allies. The orcs were by no means dead, but they were respawning in the location they'd originally been in, a location not close enough to aggro onto <SilentBlade>, <Seth's Angel> and <Hades>. "Should we move onto another area, or keep grinding it out here?" he questioned.

Emma was indeed alive. If things kept going the way they were, she wouldn't be for long though. Amidst the fighting, she had been seperated from both Bryce and Tessa and backed into a corner as some of the goblins had surrounded her. Four of the goblins had been approaching her, so she had summoned Ned. Together, the two of them had killed two of the goblins before an elite one had joined the fray. It was now two small goblins and an elite one, with Emma having Ned and her shotgun to rely on. It wasn't looking good. Firing off a few rounds, she took out one more of the goblins before the elite one landed a solid strike to her and knocked Emma backwards as the girl lost her footing. She began to curse as she saw the goblin elite approaching her, her vision flashing red to indicate her low health and her shotgun laying a few feet away from her, just out of reach.

The boss was fallen. He had lost all the HP and the walls around the encampment had fallen. The boss was done and everyone received a considerable amount of XP. The battle had ended together in a strong effort. The summons left and the Goblins began to summon to their usual amount before the players had arrived. The first mission was complete!

    CONGRATULATIONS!
    1st Boss Cleared!

Star was breathing heavy in the back of the group, her summon had left and the Goblins had begun to spawn again, not aggroing towards anyone. If the Goblin King was dead, perhaps they wouldn't target unless provoked now. The girl looked over to Masaru and smiled.

"Masaru, come here." She called him, wanting to spend some time with him. Sadly though, this probably was going to be short lived. Now that they had entered this death game, things would get more hectic. Star was going to have to make a blacksmith shop again and try to get everyone the top quality. She did this in SAO so it was only natural to do it in SAO2.

Alpha stood tall among the players. He smiled knowing that the first boss had been cleared. Now they could split apart and take on the other places. "Congratulations everyone! Let's rest and regroup for later. Those part of the guild, we'll regroup in the city and establish a guild hall."

Gonna have a timeskip coming in a while when everyone is ready. Just let me know in Skype when you are ready! Of course, this doesn't have to be right now. We can go a little while until the skip. I'll explain how far the skip will be and tell you all what should be required.

Tessa breathed a sigh of relief and slumped against the cold stone of the tower as the boss finally fell. Lancelot crouched beside her, obviously concerned, before sighing himself. "I apologize, my lady, but I must leave now. The battle has been won, and well fought. I couldn't ask for a better mistress." He knelt, bowing his head before disappearing in a puff of pixels. Tessa leaned her head back and shut her eyes, well aware that she was probably perspiring in both real life and the game. Her clothing certainly felt damp with it anyway. She had gained six levels, and it was clearly taking its toll on her. Gun Game had never been this demanding....well..there had been that one time she and Bryce had gone up against those mercenaries. She chuckled to herself as her gun slid to her side, the barrel hot against her skin.

    Speaking of Bryce......

Just as all hope seemed lost for Emma, Bryce turned. Having been rejected by Magic Boy, as he now referred to the rude person in his mind, he turned his thoughts back to his battle comrade, and almost too late, it seemed. She had gotten separated from him, whether by her own design or his carelessness, and was now separated from her summon as well.
Damn girls. He ran towards her with abandon, swinging like the awesome guy he was to charge through the elites and send them flying to the side as he reached her hopefully in the nick of time. Just as he charged through, the boss fell with a crashing sound behind him, and the enemies around them disappeared in small clouds of pixels as he turned to look. Was it finally over? His thoughts strayed to Tessa for a moment, before he turned to look at the girl in front of him. God, if she was hurt, Tessa would never let him hear the end of it. Boudica huffed a goodbye before disappearing herself, muttering about men and only being able to think with one head at a time. At least, that was what it sounded like.

With both the goblin king and its summon being defeated, there was no more reason to be out on the battle field. Thus shortly after the fight had ended, Mordred vanished from the battle field, his purpose for being summoned having been fulfilled. The remaining Goblins around them didn't appear like they wanted to fight and <Chrono> didn't have any reason to fight them so he just left them alone.

Another person among them had congratulated them all before saying something that pertained to whatever guild the man was a part of. <Chrono> stopped listening at that point, but he did think that heading back to the town was a good idea. Getting some more consumable items and other such items for potential emergencies was a good idea.

Fist pumping into the air, Jackyl was absolutely stoked with the results of the fight. After she had helped delivered the finishing blow onto the large goblin king boss monster guy dude, she couldn't help but contain her excitement. "Wahooooo!" she had exclaimed ecstatically, as she looked to see Astolfo take a small path of flight through the air, diving towards her and passing right by. As he passed her, the two gave each other a high five and Astolfo had dismissed himself afterwards, the fight having been completed and their purpose being fulfilled for the time being.

Giving a thumbs up to each and everybody here, Jackyl had decided that it was probably a good idea to go back to town and get herself some rest, especially because the goblins were respawining now. Given that she was about level 7 now, and these goblins were way out of her level range, fighting them was only going to be a waste of time and only really exhaust her. So, going back to town seemed like the perfect thing to do at the moment. Giving a wave to Lu, as he had been a good party member to get through this dungeon and required a proper farewell gesture, she left the goblin camp and went on her way back to the main town.

As Sylar killed one final orc, gaining to Level 6, he sheathed his gun in it's holster, and nodded to <SilentBlade> while browsing the drops the orcs gave, replying, "Yeah, we should probably get moving. We should even check if the Floor 1 boss out, if we can." He turned his head to <Seth's Angel> before going on, "Unless of course, the Lady isn't up for it? We could always stick around here a little more in case you need more practice. After all, it's not like we got something to wait for."

Emma nearly died of shock as Bryce knocked all the goblins away with a single strike. Good god how high was his strength stat? It didn't matter though, all that mattered was she was still alive. She got up and gave a quick 'thank you' to Bryce, before picking up her shotgun, her arms shaking a little. Emma wasn't one to be frightened easily, if at all, but after such a close encounter with death...she was a little shaken up. She stood there for a moment, simply lost in thought about what had just transpired. They'd just beaten a boss and gained quite a few levels, which was extremely helpful, but more importantly a large portion of the players that had been fighting had all had a name displayed beneath their username. It was the name of that guild she'd wanted to join, wasn't it?

She couldn't join them, not just yet. To leave Bryce and Tessa after only just meeting them, and more to the point was Bryce saving her life, to abandon them so quickly didn't sit right with the girl. "So once we find your sister, we need to figure out another way to continue levelling, I think" she suggested, not willing to talk about her terrifying ordeal and simply wanting to move on.

The boss was dead, that was good, but that left Lucas without a team or anything to focus on. He was usually a solo player but the feeling of having someone care to work with him and try, it felt good. However that was what he feared most. He would befriend someone then soon after die, leaving them alone. However that was always the risk in a death game like this, but in his case it was more so than normal. Death games, life threatening illness, depression induced suicide thoughts, he had had enough of it. He was sick of fearing death but also wanting it. And more so he was sick of fearing who he might leave behind. He hated being so lonely, it only fed the depression. But he couldn't be with too many people either because he might die. In the end his life was simply horrible and there was nothing he could do about it.

Grumpy Lucas started back to town with the rest. Buying some supplies and resting a bit would be good before he moved on. He knew that he had to pace himself if he was going to survive. This wasn't his first time playing one of these games, he knew how to do it. He wouldn't let the game kill him, is step mother might, but not this game. He refused. So back to town he went.

"Can we please rest a bit? I am still confused and so much is being thrown at me at once. I just need a rest." Samantha told the two boys. They might have been fine but they were more experienced. Samantha barely knew what she was doing so she was tiring out a bit quicker. Plus the amount of orcs that were coming after them at once just in this area scared her, if there was more... Well she didn't know what she would do about that. If they moved on the enemies would be harder, could she survive that? Samantha doubted it. Perhaps teaming up with these two wasn't such a great idea, they seemed too ambitious for her skill level.

Tessa made her way down to the bottom of the tower, before stepping outside into the digitalized sunlight. She sat down on the grass, leaning her back against the cold stone of the wall. Everyone seemed to be moving towards town. She would get there, eventually. Right now, she needed to just rest for a moment. Tilting her head back, she stared up at the blue sky. If this wasn't such a terrifying chain of events, she would have really enjoyed this world. It was kind of sad, really. One person, because of his own failings in the world, had to punish the rest of them.

"I wonder, why did you do it?" She asked the sky softly, letting her gun fall to the ground beside her. "Why did you have to curse us with this fate?"

On the other hand, she really should try to find Bryce and
Emma. Her stupid brother had best kept that girl alive. Maybe afterwards they could find a guild. Going solo on this was tempting, but it would be better if they had people to help watch their back. She shut her eyes and sighed. She would rest, first.

Bryce hefted his sword to rest on his shoulder, frowning only slightly. "Yeah...I'm not sure where she went." He muttered, glancing behind him. In his haste to get to Emma, he had lost his sister. But she had Lancelot, and the boss was defeated, so she would be okay, right?

As the rest of the players started to head towards the town, he shifted from one foot to the other, deliberating. Tessa was the one who made decisions outside of battle. He was better at the spontaneous ones, the ones that required little thought and more action. Then he spotted the
Magic Boy, who had so rudely yelled at him to complete the tutorial. But who wanted to waste time doing that when someone could just tell them what to do?

"Hey, let's go talk to that guy. He used magic. Then we should head to town. Tessa will meet us there, I bet. She's probably scouting out a guild as we speak." He said cheerfully, waving at
Emma to follow as he started towards Lucas. "I bet whatever guild we join will wanna level up too." He didn't mention that Tessa might want a break. She always tired more easily then everyone else, and while it worried him, in truth he knew she was probably just catching her breath somewhere. He didn't need to tell that to Emma though. No one needed to know.

    "Hey, you.
Magic Boy. You got a minute now that the battle is done with?" Bryce fell into stride with Lucas, unaware that with his sword resting on his shoulder, he was slightly intimidating.

A journey back to the safety of walls that guarded the players had commenced. It was a grim moment for many of the players as lives had been lost, and most likely scars had been left in some people's psych. Only god knew what was going on with Jankano at the moment; if he even exists. A lot was hurting, but the most was Jankano's Spirit. After the original SAO had done it's worst to the man, life was gradually beginning to get better as he picked the broken pieces and slowly allowed himself to heal. Everything was alright until this situation.

He wanted to toss the blame at the creator of this game, but he also wanted to blame someone else; Anyone really. Yet being a man of proper age, Jankano knew better than to go off ranting and finding someone to blame. Tossing accusations around wasn't going to help or save them from their current predicament. The youth let out a sigh as he leaned back against the wall once the group had arrived to town. Arms dangled energy less, and emotional strength was at its low. Had it none been for his prior experiences in the past vrmmo, he'd probably be dead by now too.

A massive blade had struck against his during mid-air combat, and sent him flying towards a tower back at the goblin camp. It left a dent on the side of the building, and even knocked off a few bricks. Jankano was only alive at this very moment because the <<parry>> skill was a thing. Using his blade as a cane to lift himself off the ground, eyes had set sight on the battlefield before him. Players were fighting valiantly, summons were aiding summoners. A glance to the left side of his UI showed only two people remained in the party. Jaw tensed, and eyes narrowed in sadness. He had lost most of his group in this one boss fight alone. Despite the past experiences, it was still all the same. A cruel joke made by the rewind button.

When the battle had ended, he had immediately dismissed the party without a notice. It was just too much for him to handle after the fight and he wanted to walk the rest of the way home mindlessly. When they had arrived, many people who had stayed behind were there waiting for them. Lvl 1's of all ages stood there watching them. Friends, family, and spouses welcomed the familiar faces, and others merely congratulated the brave souls that had ventured out of the wall. The calming atmosphere aided the warriors spirits, but not for long.

There's always two sides to a coin.

Bitterness, disappointment, shame, sadness. It was in the mix of everything. Although people were glad to see the group had survived, others had to received the bad news; sometimes not even through a person but by common sense. It was heart wrenching to many when a little boy called out for his father, but with no response to be had. It made some players ashamed of themselves, and needing to hang their head low when a woman walked forward asking for the whereabouts of her boyfriend.

"Where's my brother?!" a girl exclaimed at a friend who's head hung low.

A child cried, being comforted by a random player kind enough to lend the shoulder.

Just as many experienced relief, others experienced the beginnings of a crack in their happy world.

Now as back came in contact with the wall, away from prying eyes, did the warrior Jankano have a moment to himself to reconnect. It was like a flood gate had been opened up and emotions just came riling up. Anxiety, fear, cowardice. Eyes perspired in physical manifestation of his emotions. It was this moment again where hope was quickly fading away. And this time, she wasn't there to comfort him. None of them were. He was once again all alone in a death game.

"...****..." the vulgar word spat out in a gritty whisper.

Head hung low causing bangs to mask him. A fist was made, shuttering with ambivalence.

As the Goblin King fell, Julius could only smirk in satisfaction as his level counter dinged to 6. He dramatically sliced his halberd to the ground and the goblin blood sprayed off the spearhead and on to the ground, disappearing in bright blue sparkles. The players seemed exhausted, but that was to be expected. It was a first fight, and he felt fatigue too. He sheathed his sword and clutched his chest a little. Julius looked down at himself a moment and saw an array of cuts and bloody wounds that he hadn't noticed before. He raised an eyebrow in surprise and Cú Chulainn came over with a slight chuckle.
"Should probably chug one of your health pots like I do beer." The Irishman spoke, leaning against his spear implanted in the ground with a cheeky smile on his face. The player looked at his Summon with a vaguely disapproving look. The Hound of Ulster shrugged. "Hey, I'm not the one freaking out about a non-lethal battle injury."
"It may not be non-lethal. I believe that there may be a blood loss system in game, although I could be wrong." Julius pointed out. The other man shrugged again while Julius drank his health potion from the glass vial. The red liquid seemed to soothe his entire body as he drank it. As he watched, it seemed that the injuries were knitting up while he watched and he breathed a sigh of relief. He was going to be fine.
"So, now that you're in perfectly good health, what's the plan?" He asked. Julius nodded. It was actually a sensible question. Arguably the most sensible thing he had said.
"Now, it's time to further the Legio Julius of course." Julius answered as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Cú Chulainn merely rolled his eyes.
"Still shilling that thing huh? What, you styling yourself as a Roman general now or something? Going to square formation your way through the game?" The Summon teased. Julius merely nodded. "Huh, fair enough. Well, so long as there's fighting to be found frankly you could sit there with your finger up your backside most of the day and it wouldn't matter to me. This sounds a great deal more interesting than that though, so don't do that."
"Damn, I'll have to cross that idea off." Julius cleared his throat and stood in the centre of the battlefield near where the Goblin King had fallen. "Here goes."

"Players of Summon Arc Online! Today, is our victory day!"
He declared. "Today, we have shown what the combined might of SAO players can achieve! The Goblin King has fallen and we are one step closer I am sure to getting out of this insane game alive! But we will not survive a fight like that again in disorganisation! Why fight and lose friends when you can fight and lose nobody at all? That is why I invite every single one of you here, for you are all heroes, all brilliant and powerful in your own right because you have shown the tenacity to achieve victory! You are heroes, all of you! And I invite you to join me, join the Legio Julius! Become heroes with me! We shall march on Summon Arc Online, an army of heroes unseen since Sword Art Online and we shall reign victorious! We have come! We see! We! Will! Conquer!" Julius raised his Halberd into the air for dramatic effect as he spoke the final line.

    "WHO IS WITH ME?"

"That guy is unbelievable...." Cassandra noted. Joan looked about to ask a question. "I'm not joining him. You know I play solo." She nodded and sheathed her weapon, the battle over. It had been a successful fight. Her constant sniping had assisted greatly in defeating the Goblin King. Joan had kept the Goblins off her and overall, she had been effective she felt. She knew she had helped. And felt that it was a lot, having consistently shot the man in the head. It was pretty unlikely that they knew who it was doing that though.
"Cassandra, congratulations." Joan spoke. It was heartfelt, but she didn't know why she even said that. As she was about to ask, her question was soon answered. "You've reached Level 8. Congratulations. And we have conquered the first of this game's many foes that stand in your way." She glanced at the status bars, not quite believing what she was hearing. It was true alright. She was level 8. She beamed at Joan and hugged the woman. Even though she was digital- They were both digital really- It felt real. The feeling of another person being with her filled her with no small amount of joy. She held Joan a little longer before releasing her. The Maiden of Orleans looked a little surprised.
"I couldn't have come this far without you Joan. We're going to beat this game. Together." Cassandra said.
"Truly, you did much of this yourself. You achieved your level, I have merely assisted with my battle prayers and protecting you." Joan bowed her head humbly.
"You've reassured me. You've inspired me even. Without you, specifically you, I don't think I would have had the will to do this. So thank you." Cassandra added. Joan nodded and curtsied.
"Thank you for your kind words Cassandra. I did not expect to be Summoned at all, let alone by a player like you." Joan replied. Cassandra's smile widened and she nodded. Her hand fell to her belt and she reloaded her Sniper Rifle. She set the safety off and began to walk out the encampment away from the crowd of people still there. The world of Summon Arc Online was in her sights. It was up to her to take the shot.

    Time skip no. 1

Timeskips are periods in which a significant amount of time has gone by within the world. In Sword Art Online, a time skip happened for example that showed Kirito go from the low levels to 40 within one episode. This sort of situation will be similar but not as drastic.

What is asked of you as the RPer is to give a brief summary of what has occurred within this time amount. The current Time Skip is going to be 6 MONTHS. The current max level anyone can be right now is up to 30 but no more for a while. Think of this as a level cap.

What the current situation is is that nobody has been able to figure out how to activate the doors to the towers within the Desert or Forest. There has been recent rumor that a boss lives deep within the Ant's Nest and Spider's Nest. More that 30% of SAO's population is dead. The bosses for the Imp, Ogre, and Orc camps have all been defeated. Nobody has their second weapon upgrade yet.

    Star's Past 6 Months
    Level - 27
    Current Location - Spider Nest

The Japanese idol returned to her role of Blacksmith, a role she held during her days of the original SAO. Now, she creates armor out of materials dropped from the highest materials dropped from the current mobs that can be found. This would currently be Ant Knights and Spider Centurions. She is also on the front lines team so far for clearing the game.

Thanks to the guild commander, Alpha, supplies is sent from the Ant Nest and is combined with the materials in the Spider's Nest. The armor seems to only be possible with both Nest's materials. Now she is searching for the boss chamber of the nest. It is unlike the other places where killing so many will spawn the boss. The tunnels stretch out for miles upon miles so finding the actual chamber where the boss is was proving to be difficult. Information and strategists suggest that the stronger and higher leveled units were to be around where the boss was. However this was proving to be false for some reason.

    Alpha's Past 6 Months
    Level - 30
    Current Location - Ant's Nest

Alpha had ran the most powerful guild on the server, however it also had the largest death count of them all combined. It wasn't his leading, but the recklessness of the subordination. Within this time, he promoted Masaru to 2nd in Command. Now, he runs the command of the Ant Nest, trying to figure out how things are built and how they can find the boss. He had set the system to spawn the boss room within an RNG system. This was to prevent even him, the Creator, from finding things with ease.

Otherwise, he did well running the battles against the Imp and Ogre camps as well as traversed the desert sands. Dehydration was posing a problem for most of the guild during that time. The ailments were proving to be more realistic than originally intended.

In the past six months things had been difficult for Lucas. He remained outside of any guilds, and only partied with people when he had to. He continued to distance himself from the other players as he began having to work a lot harder to keep up with them. He was a fighter on the front lines despite his solo player status. Given the rate things were going Lucas questioned whether or not he would see the end of the game. It seemed his illness was beginning to take more of a toll, and surprisingly enough he doubted it was because his stepmother got her way. There was only so long a body could fight against an incurable disease after all.

Day after day Lucas headed into the ant camps and fighting with all his strength, trying to make his way deeper in, and trying to become stronger. He had reached level thirty finally though it took a lot more work than he thought it should. Now he was stuck just fighting the ants, selling whatever he picked up from them and making his way deeper. Maybe eventually he would see signs of this rumored boss. Maybe they could beat it and move on before he became too weak to fight on the front lines. He was going to get out of the world before he died. He had promised himself that two months earlier as he watched other players get slaughtered, realizing once again how awful it would be to die in this world without getting to see your family one last time or say your goodbyes. However even at that he would rather be killed in there then by his step mother taking away his treatment.

The thirteen year old girl still fought on occasion whenever people chose to party with her, but she had also set up a shop where she made potions to help people through their tasks. The young girl was still frightened of the front lines, scared that she would weigh people down more than she would help. She had gotten the incantation for the healing spell down to a chant, making it easy to cast, as well as the other two. She still however didn't always have the best aim with her bow. This is why she chose to create potions and other helpful items instead, while on the side leveling up her cooking skill so she could at least make this place feel a little more homey. She sold her cooking to make money to pay others for the ingredients for the potions when they were in too high level of an area for her to go alone and get and couldn't find anyone to party with her, given a lot of players were out on the front lines. Though still in the safety of her shot Samantha couldn't find a home inside the game, not like her brother did. She didn't belong here and missed her parents terribly. Over all Samantha was still struggling quite a bit with the reality of the situation.

Emma had spent the 6 months not training so much, but simply living the life that was offered inside the virtual reality. There she'd never had the pressures of schooling, of her parents breathing down her neck to get into the job they wanted her to do, or anything like that. It was relieving in some ways. She hadn't talked to many people, but had instead started up a blacksmithing shop. In the 6 months that she'd had away from a lot of the fighting, she'd made a fair chunk of progress and her blacksmithing as well as armorsmithing skills were coming along quite nicely.

However, the biggest change to everything had certainly been her social life. To most people in Summon Arc Online, she was an unknown face, or simply known as "The Blacksmith" to some, but to the few that did know her she had found herself becoming good friends with her. In fact, one particular person hadn't even stopped at friends. Only two days ago she'd been asked out. Emma had never been asked out before, and so she was really nervous. She'd dressed rather casually (and had spent hours trying to figure out whether or not she was too overdressed or underdressed) and had eventually made her way to the small virtual park that they'd agreed to meet at, and there she sat, simply waiting at a bench for Bryce to drag his sorry ass over to the park.

Samuel, unlike many other players, had not signed up for a guild or any sort of organization. He'd spent much of the six months in intense training, going from camp to camp and fighting various NPCs to gain experience. It was a slow, painful process, but he had eventually done it. He'd hit level 30, which given the time-frame and the lack of a party for the entire time was impressive indeed. As his swords slashed through the last ant he was fighting, he sat down and wiped the sweat off of his brow. The game sure did make exhaustion feel as real as life itself. After taking a moment to gain his breath back, he pulled out a teleport crystal. "Teleport: Town of hope" he said simply, before a blinding blue light enveloped him and the pixels were transferred back to the town of hope.

Samuel knew the exact spot he needed to go to. Going towards one of the blacksmith shops, he intended on seeing about a new sword. His Katana was powerful, but perhaps he could trade out his other blade for a better one, or at least she could tell him how to upgrade the other one. Either way, anything helped. However, when he got there he saw a note pinned to the door. Upon reading it he knew that the shop was closed early for the day due to personal reasons. Well, that sucked. Where was he going to find out how to improve it now? He thought for a moment about how he upgraded the other one. Right, there had been a weapon evolution potion used, but unfortunately he didn't have one of those.

About a minute later, the button in his mind marked 'idea' was pressed, and the imaginary lightbulb lit up on command. Why didn't he just go see if it were in the potion store? He was certain they wouldn't sell it at any regular store, but perhaps the girl who ran the store, <Seth's Angel>, could tell him either how to create one, where to buy one, or who would perhaps know where to buy one. It was a long shot, but he needed to take a break from his mindless slaughter anyway. And so he made his way towards the potion store he'd visited maybe once or twice in the last six months, where he knocked on the door and awaited a response.

Tessa sat at one of the tables at the inn, tracing the wood with her fingertips as she waited. Waited for whoever the hell else had joined Legio Julius. She had never really paid attention to the other members, and she didn't really think she needed to now. But Bryce was a on a date, and she didn't really have much else to do. She sighed. If it took much longer for anyone else to walk in, for whatever mindless purpose they wanted to, she was going to go out and find battle somewhere. At least then she could summon Lancelot, and have someone to talk to.

Bryce hurried towards the aforementioned park, brushing his hands distractedly through his hair. Tessa hadn't met him like she was supposed to, and now he was late, late, to the date he had purposed. He may not have had much in his head, but he did have the common sense to know better then to stand a lady up.
"I'm so sorry." He said to
Emma, sitting down next to her with an exasperated sigh. "Tessa left me high and dry and-" He stopped, taking a moment to look, actually look at Emma. "You uh....look good. Nice." He told her, unable to look at his own attire. It wasn't plain or ripped, but running here had made it a little dirty....he brushed at some of the smudges on his shirt self consciously before abandoning the act. "Sorry." He said again.

    "Stupid - NGh... IMPS!!"

A massive blade was brought down on the head of a small demon. Shards scattered into the virtual air like dandelions upon the creatures health meter meeting null. The feeling of muscles nearing their limits was almost uncanny to Jankano. Being in a virtual world, there was no possible way to actually feel pain of any kind, and yet here he was on the verge of passing out. Lungs expanded constantly with each passing breath. Nostrils could no longer take in the necessary amount of air the body was requiring, so mouth was gaped open in its stead. The warrior clad in strange attire was surrounded by these little demons called, Imps. Some were airborne, and others were just running around like children up to no good.

"I found a spot!" shouted a nearby male gunner.

irises looked on beyond the horde of imps and towards the massive stone wall with a strange emblem on it. They had made it to the boss rooms door.

Jankano looked back to the rest of the team. There was a guy spear wielder, a girl katana user, and a girl gunslinger. Giving them a nod, the group nodded back and jump into the fray. Weapons were fired, sharp ends of blades met with 1s and 0s constructing the illusion of flesh. Magic was flung, and summons were called upon. By the end of the fight, all that remained was one Imp with an injured wing lying flat on the ground squirming under Jankano's boot. Their team's sniper had done a grand job at keeping the airborne enemies controlled. With merciless eyes, he dug the giant swords tip into the creatures skull and watched it burst into data.

"Alright! Awesome work guys!" shouted the gunman that was dropping down from its nest.

Blade was sheathed onto back, with nothing to say while everyone else thanked each other for their services. After everything he had been through in the past four months, any semblance of a cheery guy had faded away. At this point it was useless to say anything. These people aren't Jankano's friends, they're just mercenaries selling their services just like him. Hence, why he didn't bother to play the part of amigo. All this, it was purely business. That's how it started and that how it was going to stay.

As he turned around to leave, one of the players called out to him, drawing the others attention. "Hey! Where are you going?"

The swordsman continued to walk while saying nonchalantly, "We're done here. They paid us to do this much. I'm not up for giving a free service."

"Yeah, but The guild should be coming in soon to help fight the boss room! Don't you want to be a part of that?"

Jankano merely waved them off while remaining on the path leading out of this dank cave. The guild the player was referring to were the contractors, and they had only paid him for clearing the path. It was none of his concern anymore whether the customer beat the boss room or not. The money was already in his account anyway. Doing this was nothing more than honoring his end of the contract.

The sniper flung the gun over his shoulders and let arms dangle on both ends. "Jeez. What's up with him?"

"I don't know, and I don't care. If he wants to play some solo player bullshit attitude, then that's his problem. More X P for us." the female katana user replied.

"Hah! Right? Besides, what kind of player doesn't use a summon anyway?"

"Duuude! Yeah what's up with that? The entire time he never once called out his summon! Who the hell does that?" the spear wielder queried, planting the blunt tip of the spear onto the ground.

The katana user turned towards the boss room and crossed her arms. "Like I said, it's HIS problem. Just forget about him..."

A sigh came out of the marksmen relaxing with his sniper, while the others looked down in spoiled mood. The girl using pistols looked on to the ground solemnly while the group began to set up a campfire for the time being. Holstering the pistols, the gunslinger placed hands on hips while remaining on foot. "Hey, you guys think that was The Man without a Partner?" she spoke up, hands remaining on hips. The group looked up to the standing girl.

"Nah. Just because he didn't use his summon doesn't mean it's him." marksman said.

"Yeah, I heard The Man without a Partner was like already level 50 or something. And the guy is like 8 to 9 feet tall!" said the pole arm user.

"8 to 9 feet!? I thought he was 7 feet!!"

"Nope! 8 to 9 feet! I mean then again, I've never seen him so I'm just going off of speculation. And get this, the reason he doesn't use his partner is because it gets out of control. It'll start flying around slaying everything in its path."

The gunslinger interjected, "Out of control? How can a summoner NOT control their summon? Isn't that taboo?"

He shrugged at her, merely letting eyes fall into the fire. "Like I said, I don't know the guy personally, just information I gathered from rumors and stuff."

Groaning in annoyance, the female swordsman fell on her back. "Uuuuuuugggghhh! Guys! Just drop it already! If a guy like that even existed, then don't you think we'd be way into beating the game by now?"

    Now

    Lvl: 30

It was just another day in this virtual world many were forced to call, "Home". 6 months had gone by, with the remaining lot of players having made very little progress in escaping this world. Just like so many, Jankano had forced himself to accept his new reality. It felt wrong, but it was for the best. Making this VRMMO the new reality helped him accept what needed to be done in order to survive. With the right mindset, mercenary work had become the chosen profession. It wasn't exactly a skill like blacksmithing, potion making, chef, etc, but it was something. There was a Bulletin Board set up in the town's entrance where many would post jobs. Most of the people who posted these jobs were people who; for obvious reasons, couldn't do it themselves. Blacksmiths who need ore, materials, etc but lacked the skills needed to survive outside these walls, Bounty(s) for people who had been wronged by Pkers or merely needed an area cleared long enough for the player to gather the materials they needed. Crap like that.

Whether it be a body guard, escort, delivery, or anything, you would always see Jankano there every day. With six months of repeating the same routine over and over again, the man had acquired quite the wealth. Mind you he wasn't aristocracy or anything, but he did manage to invest his earnings for better returns which merited a network of good contacts. The money made helped fund gear, repair costs, health pots, housing, and acquire information on the latest events, rumors, etc.

It made him chuckle a little when he heard one rumor in particular.

At level Thirty, he was fully geared; for his current level anyway. The pattern was always the same: you buy new gear for your level, wear it out until you reach a new cap, and then sell gear. Repeat. Sometimes you wouldn't even be able to get a buyer, so the next best thing was to break down the armor and weapon for Materials with which to sell. Either way, there was profit involved.

Jankano walked down the street, armor clanging like chains as he made his way past an INN in search for Samantha's Shop. His appearance was rather grim; literally. Exposed torso revealed bandages covering 75% of it, with silver gauntlets protecting forearm and hands. A strange cloak wrapped itself behind shoulders which connected to a black and red turtleneck. A skull acted as right shoulder pauldron while over the cloak, and a larger skull acting as tasset for his right hip. A belt with ammunition wrapped itself around waist, dropping to hip on the other end in a skew manner. Black pants with red belts attired his lower body and again silver colored the metallic boots he adorned with red and black dyes. His demeanor for the moment was that of any man living out his life. Many could mistake him for a cheery or upbeat fellow, but only those that truly knew him understood the mask he wore. Beneath it all was a hardened warrior who could easily give his enemy a death stare so vile that they could sense his blood-lust intentions without even having him speak. Sometimes, they could even flinch without him even doing anything as he can project his predatory intentions on the battlefield without him actually doing anything.

Anyway, down the street he went minding his own business. After a few minutes of walking, he arrived at the steps leading to the shop's entrance. Eyes immediately fell upon someone whom he'd assume was a customer knocking on Samantha's door. Taking the initiative, Jankano walked up the stairs and grabbed a hold of the doors knob, excusing himself with the customer before bothering to take a glance. He paused upon recognizing the man's face, leaving the passageway half opened with hand still holding on to the door knob.

"Oh, Silentblade." he called in soft surprise. Not wanting to stay in the way, the Jankano walked himself in and held the door for other. "I guess you're here to stock up for another days work too?"

Samantha jumped up as she heard the bell above the door to her shop open. She nearly dropped the potion she was brewing when she jumped up to greet her customers. Nervously she set down all her thinks and stood tall behind the counter. "Hello. What can I get- Oh Jankano! SilentBlade! Good to see you both! Have you two been working together or just happen to arrive at the same time?" Samantha asked in a nervous excitement. She didn't always know what to say but at least she tried to talk. "So are you here to buy, sell or trade today?" She asked half hoping it was the last one. She could use a few more ingredients for some of her potions but she didn't really have that much extra money right now to pay for them. Unless one or both of them was willing to take her out hunting for the ingredients herself, but being substantially lower level, she felt like they wouldn't do that.
