Sexual references and puns in Archies Series (Bunnie!)

There seem to be a few sexual jokes placed in quite a few places of these comics, totally not appropriate for kiddies as these were supposedly intended for.

I must say I can't help but find these amusing:

Jeez, just imagine if there was no restriction on this content...

And it just so happens that all of these sexual references are from Bunnie...I don't know very much about these comics that have her but it seems she is indeed quite a sleazily presented character from way back then to now. I guess that makes her a fantastic Sax Cymbol then.:lolface: *shot*

It is a comedic style called a double entendre. An intended double meaning so that anybody reading these that isn't in the target age group (such as a parent) can still find it at least slightly enjoyable. Albeit, the first isn't too good. It places too much of a focus on the second meaning, so the kids aren't likely to get much out of it other than "she's weird" The second is actually pretty good. Kids would get that they are likely doing something devious and find that a bit funny while being blissfully unaware of what that deviousness could be.

The third is anything though. I needed to go to the youtube page to read comments on what was supposedly wrong with it. If I didn't get it immediately I really doubt a kid would get it at all. And honestly you are really grasping at straws with that one. You can make an innuendo out of anything if you try hard enough.

Oh, I do love those comics. I have many of the early issues; stopped at issue 50 - 60, something like that. Thank you for reminding me of these. Thank you.
