Should I consider it a good or a bad thing...

...That I just got my first blister from playing bass?

And I don't mean my first blister ever, I mean the first one I've gotten from playing.

My fingers keep hurting when I play my friend's bass.

 

yes it will happen many times, but your fingers will harden and it will happen less often after you have played for a while

 

Oh yea, bass is a bitch on your fingers. Get used to it.

 

and another bit of advice, never pop them, it will be murder trying to play with a popped blister

 

I got mine about a month ago. It happens a few times then your fine lol.

I heard they make you're fingers tougher.
