Playing a wee bit here and there but I'm ashamed to say how bad I am. The transition to a handheld is quite difficult (that and I haven't really played since Brawl launched).

You kind of get used to it after a while, but I still prefer a controller.
Now if you excuse me I need to continue unlocking the customization options. O_O

I recently was listening to the Super Best Friendcast's discussion on the 3DS Smash. They bring up a lot of valid issues that the 3DS brings to the game: difficulty seeing one's character, issues with becoming comfortable with the circle pad's sensitivity for movement, far fewer music tracks, and a lack of much single-player content compared to Melee and especially Brawl. Also, some issues of the game itself that I agree with: too many clone characters, lack of Special Brawl, Smash Run being kind of unamusing after the first few tries, no Event Mode, too many 2.5D arenas, and visually unappealing menus.

Though I do love the game, I hope that it gets updated to fix some of these issues. I'd love for more Mii Fighter styles personally, but I don't see that happening due to limitations based on the Mii's body-types.

I'm really enjoying playing Mega Man and (surprisingly) Mii Brawler

Shoot! I forgot to go to the store yesterday to get the game! Got to do that once my parents get back to watch the dogs.

BTW, any characters you like or dislike in transitioning between Smash games? I'm glad Ganondorf's neutral Special can shrug off some moves, though I don't remember if it was like that in Brawl.

I haven't unlocked Ganon yet but so far I'm liking a lot of the changes I've seen. I'm also LOVING the ability to customize your smashes.

Also I've pretty much got the rest of today to play. I'd definitely be game for some online matches.

Actually, you customize your Specials. Smashes are your melee attacks, if that's what you're talking about >.>

I'll be on soon, for a bit.

Just got Smash. I'm a little unused to the controls but I'll probably get the hang of it sooner or later.

Switching Throw to the R button and Guard to the L button helped me tremendously.

I'm used to playing on a Gamecube controller, where Throw was put on the Z button, which is on the right side of the controller. Everything else I kept the same. It'll take some getting used to with the circle pad for movement.

Don't worry, man. I failed Ness, Jigglypuff and Duck Hunt the first time.
The AI's better this time around, that's for sure...

Hell yeah it is. 9.0 difficulty Classic Mode is a great practice, but also shows how unbalanced certain stages, items, and assists are.

I just bought Dragon Quest VIII with this paycheck today (nice that I can even wait) and paying for dinner tonight, not too mention I need a new pair of shorts and/or shoes, so I still have a little ways till I can get the game. Maybe it'll get to the point that I'll ask for it for christmas. How's playing as Samus?

Both are amazing and are two of my mains.

Samus is just all-around awesome, and a great counter for many of the annoyingly spammed characters I've fought, due to her mixture of strong Smashes, projectile Specials, and AMAZING grab range.

Zero Suit Samus is my glass cannon: amazing speed and power and recovery, but not as reliable for countering projectile characters. It's great being able to dance around foes.
